PoolgenX

I've had Poolgenx for about 1 1/2 yrs. It's hard now a days to get a pool service that is…read morereliable, knowledgeable n good with pets. Poolgenx has staffing issues, accounting issues n lacks in customer service. Their management team does not have the time to address issues or return a response to text messages. I have a very large pool that if not cleaned or treated properly will develop yellow algae. Because of Poolgenx staff issues their techs do not pay attention as they are brushing the walls of the pool to add additional chemicals if there is algae. Their rotation of personnel n lack of clients key control, have created a lot of issues. A recent tech never returned the key to my gate. It has taken PoolGenx over a month to provide a lock box for their lack of control. Currently my pool service is in limbo because the current tech does not know who will be assigned to my pool. As to accounting issues, I've had PoolGenx tell me that I was past due on my account about four times. They are set up on auto pay but even then PoolGenx argued that they never received payment. Thank goodness for B of A because they quickly called PoolGenx to confirm payment had been received n they had deposited the check. Finally, when hiring a pool service I have to make sure their staff are good with dogs. I have 2 Boston Terriers n they are very friendly n loving. One pool service company tech used the pool pole that is used to brush the pool to hit one my dogs. I have cameras throughout my property so I can monitor everything, so when I saw that I immediately fired the company. The cameras also confirm how much time techs spent cleaning my pool and how much chemicals are used. It's a shame you cannot trust some service companies to provide the service you are paying for.

What I greatly appreciate are the people that responds to my phone calls. All their service technicians are very responsive and reliable. Geo did the first assessment. He answered all my questions and did a good job in the first pool cleaning. My regular technician is Erik, he also answered my questions and concerns. He is doing a great job in maintaining our pool. I would highly recommend their services. The monthly cost is reasonable.

John Bettencourt Swimming Pool Service

John Bettencourt Swimming Pool Service

After 15 years of searching, I finally found a great pool service in Hemet! Bettencourt employees…read moreare clean-cut, have marked trucks, uniforms, and they document your chemical levels and indicate what they did during each visit. They list all the data on a sheet that they place in your pool timer box. To sum up, this pool service is the polar opposite of all the other so-called pool services in the valley. Background: After buying my pool home 15 years ago, I cycled through a bunch of terrible pool services. The vast majority of the "service techs" were unemployable losers who did a terrible job, until I fired them. I stumbled across a couple who were more employable, but they turned out to be rip-off artists who would try to get me to allow them to perform unnecessary services or who would charge an extra $50 for dumping a cap-full of some chemical into the water. I finally gave up on those companies and started taking care of the pool on my own. To my surprise, not only did I save $100 a month, but the pool looked much better! The problem with taking care of your own pool, however, is that once a year, when you leave for vacation, you have to find someone to take over for you. Each year, I would find another unemployable loser with a pool pole sticking out of the back of his truck and hire him for 3-4 weeks. Without fail, I would come back to a mess. For example, last year, I came back to orange algae, evidence that they guy never showed up. I called to find out what happened and he never returned my calls (that's why I never pay in advance). The year before that, I had another service and I came home a few days early to a pool that was cloudy and full of debris. I called that pool guy and he said, "Oh, you're early, I was gonna come over the day before you got home and clean it up." Hummm...I thought I was paying him for weekly service...What a pathetic piece of work! Present Experience: This year was vastly different. I found the website for Bettencourt Pool Service. That was the first good sign. If a business doesn't have a website in 2013, they just don't care. I called and left a message, which was promptly returned by a professional sounding gentlemen (second good sign). Mr. Bettencourt set-up a time to come over to look at the pool. When he arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see a clean-cut professional in a uniform and driving a very nice, marked, truck (third good sign). This was a stark contrast to the average Hemet pool guy who shows up covered in prison tattoos, with piercings through his face, wearing flip flops, and basically telling you to screw-off just with his appearance. Mr. Bettencourt made a great first impression and it was clear that he was very knowledgeable about pool care and he took his profession very seriously. I told him about the problems I had had in the past and he apologized for the bad actors in the profession, which gave the others a bad name. He assured me that my pool would be well cared for and he let me know that each visit would be documented for my review upon my return. Sure enough, Bettencourt Pools did not let me down. I came home after three weeks to a sparkling clean pool. I checked the log sheet and was able to verify each visit, see what my chemical levels were, and what chemicals were added. A couple of days after my return, I got a phone call from Mr. Bettencourt, checking to make sure that I was happy with the service. Wow! It doesn't get better than this. I highly recommend this pool service!
