DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. The President of the company was dishonest with us. Several items of jewelry (estimated total value of $10,000) were taken from my home during our move on December 9, 2024. The theft is currently under investigation by the Jupiter, FL Police Dept. Prior to filing a police report, we did reach out to the President of the company to make him aware of the situation. He was dishonest by stating there had been no reports of any theft from previous homes the employees had been assigned. Upon investigation by the Jupiter Police Dept., it was discovered that one of the employees has several years of a history of taking items to local pawn shops. Do not use A-1 Moving in Jupiter! We hired A-1 for an interstate move as well as storage of our guest room furniture. We purchased full replacement value insurance on our move and our storage. In our move, two pieces of 3-D art pieces, both designated as high value, were both packed in a small moving box facing one another. Both pieces were ripped, and we had to initiate an insurance claim for those pieces as well as other damaged items. Our guest room furniture was a few years old, barely used and in excellent almost new condition prior to the move. After 10 months in storage the white furniture was stained with imprints of blue moving rugs down to the zig zag print. There are small blue dots on the finish indicating the furniture was subject to moisture. I contacted the company and was told it would fall under insurance. I left the furniture exactly as delivered assuming they would send an inspector to assess the damage and cost of repair. I submitted my claim in August and contacted the company every few weeks with no response. In October, I initially heard from another company that handles claims for A-1, but when they asked A-1 for $250 to cover the visit of a furniture repair firm, the claim was immediately turned over to their insurance agent and denied on the exact same day. Every three weeks I asked for an update, with no response. In December, I was forwarded a back-dated letter from the Insurance agent saying the damages were not covered and to contact A-1. My name was misspelled. The insurance agent never contacted me. No inspection of the items was completed. The Company President has denied they have any responsibility for the items. A-1 packed, moved and stored these items. They used their own moving blankets and materials. No one would return my calls to provide any explanation at all. I have yet to receive a phone call back from the A-1. I have only received cold email responses from the President to contact the Insurance agent. Insurance told me to contact A-1. It is a great game of "not it." No customer should be ignored and treated in this manner. If you want to pay and store items, in order to receive your furniture damaged and with no protection as a customer, this is the moving and storage company for you. read more

Having sold our home in Fl. we put all of our personal household and business belongings in six storage units at three different locations. We knew it would be a difficult move, but we trusted A-1 right from the start. From the estimator, Larry, to the Driver, Steve, it was a seamless, worry-free move. The loaders were awesome, as were those great guys who did the unloading in TN. The office personnel coordinated things to ensure that all went as planned. The 52' ft. They were a huge help when I needed to move my local office with very short notice for people who were sub-leasing my office space and needed it right away. I did a local move within Jupiter. I have lots of glass and heavy items, and the movers from A-1 handled everything so carefully. I also have a Peloton bike that I was super nervous about moving -- they were pros and transported everything safely. They moved my stuff into a newly-painted house and they somehow managed to not touch any of the walls, even around tight corners. I just recommended A-1 moving to a friend of mine and realized that I never gave them a review that they so highly deserved, so I'll correct that error right now! My wife and I used A-1 moving for a move from Key Largo, Fl. to our new residence in Jupiter, Fl. It was NOT an easy job. Our house in Key largo was elevated, everything had to come down one story. It had to go into a smaller truck due to confined area and be reloaded into a much larger truck in a more asessable area. This process was repeated 4 times.  A-1 moving did an outstanding job!! Everything moved out of Key Largo in one day and into our new house in Jupiter the next day. Nothing damaged or broken. These guys worked well together as a team, it was amazing to watch them operate. And I should say that the caliber of the men were high, guys you can trust! We used A-1 this past week for a move from a 3 story townhome to a single story home. From start to finish, we couldn't be happier. Anthony came out to the house and gave us a quote for a full pack and move and was great. The team that came over to do the job was awesome. Most horrible experience of my life!! Do not trust this company, they do not keep their promise!!! They will over promise and under deliver. After you use your credit card for a deposit, the day if your move they will demand cash and will tell you they no longer accept credit cards!!!!! They will write on the contract your moving day, will pick up your things but will only deliver when they want to, and than when you call they will put you on hold for hours ignoring your call. read more
