My mom was so tired of them treating me so bad and she forced me off of the horse. One time i fell off and i almost got stepped on. And guess what i was 6 7 or 8 so i cried and they got a cookie because I FELL off. I had so much jumping ability that when i moved to a different ranch and within a year i had my first horse show and got 2 first places and reserved champion. I would have never got that while rode at desert rose. It was so hard to leave Mercedes but it was worth it... yes. I put up with it for 3-4 yrs

My partner is 6'8", so we were a little concerned about whether they would have a horse that could comfortably accommodate her height, but the staff reassured us right away and made sure everything would work out. Their communication and willingness to accommodate us made us feel extremely confident and excited about the experience. When we arrived, everything was organized and relaxed. One thing I really appreciated was that they allowed me to ride the same horse I had during my previous visit, named Legacy. Legacy is such a beautiful and calm horse, and it made the experience even more special being reunited with him again. Our guide Giana was fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire ride feel comfortable and fun. She checked in on everyone throughout the ride, made sure we were confident handling the horses, and shared helpful tips along the way. You could tell she really cares about both the riders and the horses. The trail itself was beautiful and peaceful, making it the perfect way to enjoy the day outdoors. Between the great staff, well-trained horses, and excellent guidance from Giana, it turned into a truly memorable experience for both of us. We were given the option to help feed them, brush them, and basically see what it's like to take care of them! The greenery was beautiful to look at as well and she even stopped and took as many pictures as we wanted! She helped build my confidence to let my horse canter towards the end of the tour and it was awesome! She let us tell her if we wanted to just walk, trot, canter, etc. based on how comfortable we were! It was also so nice to see that the horses were able to roam free almost and had no stables. Our kids had never rode a horse and they were able to learn how to groom, walk and ride 14.2 ponies. It was a great outdoor experience. If it's "...hey ho the wind and the rain", it could be a soggy affair. Day of the wedding, gray overcast skies and a forecast of rain threatened to do just that. But prayers were answered: not only did the clouds part, and Apollo decided to shine forth in all his glory, a pair of cranes flew over the lake before the ceremony started. Cranes are a symbol of long life, and a pair of them - that speaks for itself for a wediing. I'm not superstitious, but what's wrong with sending the happy couple off to their new life together with an extra measure of good wishes? p.s. The owner, Alison, puts the horses and her clients over her own needs ANY day. In the short time I have been with her, I've learned so much about horse care and equitation.
