We just had roller shades installed last week. Allof our sliding glass doors &kitchen doors. From the start we worked with Yolanda, she came to our home to consult on what we needed. She was on time, professional & understood exactly what we wanted. She brought all of her product lines for what we needed. plenty of optons to choose from & guided us through them all. She then had her installers come out to measure, they knew exactly what to do, leaving us confident they would do a great job. The shades (all 9 of them) arrived just in time as we expected- installers arrived on time & did a great job installing faster than i expected! They installed super clean.. there was a concern because our floors arent even with our cieling. They let me know what they were planning on doing BEFORE doing it to remedy, i trusted them & they attached brackets just right so all shades hang evenly. Excellent work, we are really happy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

We couldn't be happier with our curtains and the whole process of working with A1 Custom Draperies. It's hard to support small businesses because the big guys usually always beat their price, but not in this case - I got several quotes and A1 was able to provide a better quality fabric for cheaper and shorter lead times. Plus the owner is just a pleasure to work with, super thorough and professional and she personally checks that all installation is done correctly and they did a perfect job. It's a long running family business so they really know what they're doing, highly highly recommend! read more

I wanted to replace 19 year old bedroom draperies, and found A-1 Custom Draperies on YELP. The owner, Yolanda, came promptly to my house, measured, listened to what I wanted, and called me that day with a few quotes. She returned a few days late with fabric samples, remeasured, and the draperies were ordered. They were installed in the promised 4 weeks, and I am very happy with the quality and finished look of the drapes. Yolanda was very professional and knowledgeable. Also, she didn't pressure me with upgrades, or additional expense. I would highly recommend her services. read more

Our first encounter with A1 Custom Draperies was two years ago when we needed new sheers for our bedroom. Yolanda came to our house, bringing samples of hundreds of fabrics. We found one that was perfect for our decor. She measured and gave us a price - we agreed. The curtains were delivered / installed on-time and look great. Given the extreme heat we expect this summer we decided we needed sheers to cover a southern wall of windows in our dining room. Once again, Yolanda came to our home at our convenience with a large number of fabric samples. We placed an order. Last week, a little sooner than expected, the new sheers were installed and they are perfect. Everything with A1 Custom Draperies has been perfect for us. And we love the fact that the company is local to Eagle Rock!! read more

Yolanda is the best. The prices were reasonable, the service was extraordinary and the quality was excellent. She has a keen eye and is very helpful at explaining the subtle differences in color and materials that make blinds fit into a room without calling attention to themselves. She helped us pick exactly the right thing, within our budget, and was a pleasure to work with, in every way. read more

My company recently used A-1 Custom Drapes to upgrade up a long and drab hallway. Working with the company was easy, they came out to us, heard our rough ideas of what we wanted to do, then within a few weeks time we had our new drapes! Since the installment there has been a definite change in atmosphere. Not only does the hallway have character now but its actually cooler too! Now we look good and are actually saving money on cooling the hallway! Everybody's a winner! read more

After finishing a big remodeling job, we were ready for new curtains and window shades, but were a bit lost on where to go. Yolanda from A1 was the perfect person to help us out. She listened carefully to what we needed, the style of our house (Spanish style) and showed us various fabric samples and suggested options for window shades. Yolanda was patient and I never felt rushed to make a decision, which I appreciated because I wanted to select the right options for our house. When Yolanda visited our house to take measurements, she suggested colors, styles and the best placement for the curtains and shades. All of her suggestions were spot-on. In the end, we ordered a beautiful set of custom made curtains for our formal dining room and honeycomb shades for: a large kitchen window, 2 windows in our guest room, and 1 bathroom window. I'm extremely happy with the colors, installation and function of all these window treatments. Finally, Yolanda made sure that everything was installed in time for a family gathering where we showcased our remodeled house and new window treatments. For all of these reasons, I would recommend A1 Custom Draperies to anyone looking for custom made window treatments. read more

It was blind faith I found A-1 Custom Draperies and after meeting with Yolanda I knew it was going to be okay. I had been shopping for drapes for my newly redecorated rooms and I met with a couple others before A1 but they were trying to sell me standard looking window treatments. Then I called Yolanda and she came out to meet and measure and brought some samples. We sat and discussed our rooms then I went to her shop to look at more material and rods. Prices were very reasonable I gave her a deposit and within four weeks the installers were at our house completing our job. The whole way through Yolanda kept me informed of our progress and her installers were super great. I could not say enough about A1 and Yolanda and would definitely work with her again. I also had A1 recover our dining room seats and they came out beautiful and she even had them done in time for a party which was only a couple of weeks out. Thank you Yolanda for all of your time and effort! read more
