In my experience they've always been helpful when stopping by for assist with testing my battery and transmission and other small car checks or non invasive part changes. The tool i purchased on this specific trip ended up not being what we needed and since we have an account (w/phone#) I came back the next day and returned it without a receipt and no issue as they were able to find the purchase history with the number.

In fact, he did the exact opposite- after diagnosing my car and doing some research, he found that the failing parts should be covered under BMW warranty. All thanks to his effort and honesty, I ended up getting my entire turbocharger replaced along with the adjacent components under warranty--something I never would have gotten if I had gone directly to the dealership.
