A-1 24th ST Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Bakersfield, California

I would highly recommend A-124th St. Smog to all my friends and family for your vehicle. The service is professional, precise and done in a timely manner. He greats each and every one of his customers while continuing to service you and when you work alone that's often a hard task to do. I love that this shop is a small business and is not run by a corporation. It seems people have forgotten to support the small businesses that are still around providing better service then they are. I live in Rosedale and drive across town because the service is that excellent. People remember when they are treated good and businesses make you feel important. It really shows the value of what the service is worth. I will continue to take all my vehicles here and share the type of service I was given. Thank you again! read more

I drive by this place everyday on my way to work so when I realized my vehicle needed a smog to renew my registration it was easy to stop by. This is my first smog so I wasn't sure about the pricing, after speaking to friends/family members I was told the price is about average. What stood out to me was the customer service. Miguel was super friendly and informative, he took the time to explain to me when I would need to perform another smog. I was in and out pretty quickly. I would recommend coming here if you are in need of a smog! read more

I had my bf call them to give a price for a smog check for my car and they told him it was going to be $50 but when I actually went in person and asked for a price the guy said it was going to be $62 and I told him that I called and you said it was $50 then he quickly changed the price to $52... so just be aware of that ladies... have a man call first for a price. Other than that, the service was ok. Water and air conditioning was provided. read more

Took my vehicle to get smogged No check engine lights no issues other than throwing extra smoke when the tester pressed on the throttle. it's a Diesel, they throw smoke when you abuse the throttle. Did not pass me . Fixed the issues he said to fix, I took it back since I had already paid and now he comes up with other issues that were not mentioned at all on the first visit! Waist of time and money would not recommend. read more

I had the best experience here! The $45 cash price was so reasonable compared to other places. I had a person ahead of me when I got there and still was in and out in 30 minutes. The man who worked on my car was so personable and friendly. We chatted the whole time he was working and it made the time go by so quickly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that needs a smog check! read more

Stopped in on Saturday in a rush. Miguel greeted me promptly and told me how long my wait would be. He was quick and efficient. Would recommend him. He give you $5.00 if you pay in cash. Wish I had known. But he was worth the full price. And you won't be disappointed in their drive-thru (quick) style. read more

Very professional and friendly owner and he does the smogs himself. Quick in and out. Drive through type of shop. No hassle. No waiting room but with the best price in town and quick process, what's the need for a room. Chairs and a nice breeze even in 100 degree weather is fine. read more

Great friendly service Very clean shop. I took my 2013 to be smogged after another place failed it 1 day prior. After my car passed the owner made a courtesy call to the place that failed it to let him know what he did wrong to cause the fail. Will take all my cars to this A1 shop from now on. I highly recommend. read more

Went in and the wait was less than 15 minutes! Miguel was very helpful and even told me the many ways I can buy the expiration sticker for my car. They even gave me a $10 discount! Thank you for your service Miguel, will definitely send more people your way. read more

Very fast and through, open a bit later than other ones around, leonardo was very nice and quick, the place was clean and well priced

We showed up at this place without reservation on a Saturday morning and were pleased that there was no lines and no waiting. We were greeted promptly (after we learned that we needed to drive around behind the gas station to get into the the smog shop). The guy working (owner?) was nice and polite. The smog check lst all of about 10 or 15 minutes. I was happy with the service and would recomend this joint to family and friends with the following conditions: Since there isn't a waiting room, this is not the place to go to in the summer when it will be 120 degrees outside... Meh. read more

Great, quick service & super respectful guy. Always a plus for me, when mechanics are helpful & nice.

First time getting my car smog checked here. First come first served. Professional and polite service. Was in and out in just less than 1/2 hour. The good reviews are what brought me here. Good experience. read more

I was able to get in right away. Prompt, friendly and the price was great! Would definitely recommend!

Great attitude, fast service. Parking is in the rear, behind the SHELL gas station. Super friendly attendant and great attitude.

Great place! I looked around a LOT TO find a good, reliable test-only place. Some of the reviews out there for other places weren't so great, so I was nervous just picking a place. It wasn't too expensive. I was told it's normally $60, but I paid $50 (would have been $40 if it failed) and that included electronic transfer and certificate. The guys were very nice and professional and it was very fast! I waited maybe 15 minutes. I would def go back next time! read more
