Love the 99. Almost always get the steak tips. They are out of this world. Have not had a bad experience at the Manchester location. The staff is always attentive, quick and friendly. It's a New England staple and I feel like this location has been here for ages. I've been going since I was a kid and still go there occasionally now. The marinade for the steak tips is great and they've always had a great mashed potato, a lot of garlic. Outside of that the staff is always nice and the restaurant is clean and inviting. Was there last night , ordered boneless chicken wings. They brought mine out and I started eating... had it for 5 min , ate 2-3 pieces and a bite of celery. Waitress comes back and tells me that was actually for another table .... I said OK. She took it away and walkwalked it directly over to the other table and serve it to them!!! No joke! read more

Good service. The restaurant was clean, and we had a really large party. Waitress was super efficient in taking orders for separate checks and went out of her way to make sure we all received requested dressings and sides. Very impressive considering the size of the group. Food was average. I had the sliced sirloin, asked for it medium. It could've been pinker, but not bad, and quite good for $16. The buffalo wings weren't great, but the mozzarella moon appetizers were pretty good. Overall good experience. I remember many years ago when this place had decent food.. but not anymore, absolutely horrendous disgusting food now. Every time I come here, the service has always been extraordinary and I want to thank the staff for their attentiveness and suggestions. Kristen was absolutely amazing! Me and my fiancée went in to grab dinner and a few drinks to celebrate another week completed and the start of our vacation! Kristen was VERY attentive and would like describe her as our "food coach" sounds funny but it was amazing, she was there to cheer us on and make us feel happy and comfortable all the way until we finished our dessert (me and my fiancée almost never get desserts, so this was a big deal!) me and my fiancée love the 99s and frequent this location and over the years the Hooksett location, Salem, and Haverhill but this server was the best we have had in our probably close to 100 visits over the years! I typically come here for lunch when I'm visiting friends or family in the area. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. I would compare this place to a Ground Round, TGI Fridays, Applebee's or any other similar chain. read more

Boo. Despite being technically the same as every other 99's I've ever been to, this one didn't do anything for me except make me want to leave. It's not dirty or overly rude. It's just that when we order appetizers, notice that the waitress is not only able to take care of us and correct the order at the table next to us, then have her mess up on which soup to bring me... that's not so good. What were once bonus points ended up definitely coming back to kick you in the ass. If you want Ninety Nine food and are in the Mancester area, go to Hooksett where I've been happy to eat for a long time. It's much better in all the small ways that matter. read more

Our party included 3 couples and we arrived just before 11:30pm. Our bartender initially seemed bothered by our arrival just 90 minutes to closing but the rest of the staff made us feel welcome. even though on the weekends it may take a little while to get a table, the food is always amazing. sometimes i would have to send my burger back to make sure it was Well done instead of Medium but, the food has never disappointed. the staff is very friendly and talkative. it's a very nice place for a family get together or just a family restaurant. they really are dedicated to serve and wait, especially when the cooks can whip out two entrees and a dessert 10 minutes before closing, as the waiter gives a very enthusiastic and non tired attitude. great place! great food! read more

If it wasn't for the food would probably never come again. I sat at the bar and the bartender (Annie) is more concerned with her pre closing and stock them she is with Her customers (8 of us). Let's ppl sit with no interaction for quite sometime. If the customers don't initiate it, she doesn't pay attention to them. Not something you want to deal with. Had an App as soon she put it down want to know if I wanted to order dinner. I said I want to wait a couple mins so dinner didn't come out before was done. This evening my mother, her friend and I walked into the 99 to celebrate her birthday. 4 weeks ago, my mother had her knee replaced. She still cannot drive, walks with a cane and is extreme pain. We wanted to do happy hour specials that started at 8:00, apps, drinks and dessert. Due to the fact my mother just had surgery and all of the booths in the bar are high top booths she could not sit in the bar area. We kindly asked the young man who was at the hostess booth to ask the manager if it would be okay that we did bar specials at a table, he said he would ask. As we sat our waitress came over to ask about drinks. As she was taking drink orders the manager, Tasha, came over. My mother explained to Tasha the issue. She replied, "Ya, no sorry those specials are for the bar only." My mom politely said she understood but due to her knee she cannot sit in the bar and she was wondering if she could make an exception. Her response, "I dont know how they do it here because I am a floating manager but company policy says no. If we made an exception for you then we would have to do it for everyone and it wouldn't be a special, would it?" We said okay and she walked away. How rude of her as a manager to not have any care in the world and what POOR customer service! We have left your restaurant many times before upset and have still gone back, not sure why. As a nursing mother I have asked serveral Times for a private booth and they will not honor specials at that booth so I can nurse my baby! Your management is discriminatory and you should be ashamed of it. We have had issues time and time again with seating and accomadations at this restaurant and its time something is done about it. Enough is enough. You cannot treat paying customers this way! Tonight we finally stood our ground, walked out and took our business to Cactus Jacks. I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of your restaurant because being treated poorly when you go out to enjoy yourself is WRONG! read more

Wow. Just wow. I can't believe this place. As soon as I entered, I sat in a place surrounded by loud people. At this, I understood that it was not the companys fault. But we were seated under a music speaker, where we asked to have it turned down. It was, and turned back up after a minute. The waitress had also made a joke about my weight. My wife and I have been going to your restaurant, for at least 25 yrs. We were there both Saturday and Sunday, which is rare for us. On our visit Saturday (April 9th), we did not expect to get our usual waitress, which is Susan, because we went much later than usual, with another couple. and the restaurant was extremely busy. We didn't have anything going on today (April 10th), and felt like going again. We SPECIFICALLY ask for Susan's section, to our surprise we were seated in another section. Louis was our server and he did a great job, and will be a fine addition to your staff. To say that we were unhappy would be an understatement. If we ask for a certain waitress or waiter, we should be granted that courtesy. Your hostesses were made aware, that we were not happy, and not one apologized to us, not even the manager. Was staying at local hotel during Super Bowl week. The day after the Super Bowl we decided to stop and have a drink and get take out dinner for the hotel. We sat in the bar area and found that the Super Bowl was being replayed with no commercials! It was a real treat as we had watched it live the night before and there is always something you miss. It was a great time and everyone at the bar was chatty and enjoyed the whole experience. After we took our dinners back to our hotel and enjoyed them. I had a steak burger which was tasty but overcooked. My husband had fish chowder and fish and chips which he liked and there were hearty portions of fish. Manager on duty turned down a large party of 25 who wanted to come in at 3pm all because other hockey teams had made reservations for days prior and they were no shows. Perhaps consider instituting a better policy to avoid large parties who don't follow through, but to take your anger out on another willing customer group is unacceptable. We were willing to work with you to accommodate our party (who are very well behaved). If I owned this restaurant I would be upset to have lost a $600+ bill on a mid-day Sunday. BUT was asked multiple times about donating to jimmy fund and after nicely declining we both still got charged on our card for it and our server seemed to purposely not bring our itemized receipt so we wouldn't notice. We arrived at the opening of the restaurant. Quickly we were seated and our order was taken. The bar staff was happy and efficient. Our seats were facing the service area. We witnessed most staff working and keeping themselves busy. However we did a witness a male server blowing and wiping his nose and not washing his hands. On top of this he stuffed a napkin in his nose, smiled and had another staff member take his picture. This male server proceed to serve us. Arrived at 710pm on a Wednesday night, was told wait was just a few minutes. Watched a family of 4 get seated within 2 minutes of arriving while we, family of 5, had already been waiting 15. Hostess seemed confused and very unhappy to be there. Plenty of empty tables but lots of lazy staff around, looking angry and making comments to each other about how they weren't getting seated or they didn't know what was going on. Even the manager walked around with a scowl on her face and avoided customers. Long wait to get drinks, even longer wait to get food. French fries were cold and soggy, even our hungry kids didn't eat them. Our waitress happened to be friendly but the rest seemed miserable. Saw several unhappy groups of people. Bartender even rushed out with a cigarette butt hanging out of her mouth. Bad experience and won't be back. Been here before and things weren't this bad so we thought we would give it another try, big mistake. Three of us and altho busy hours we were seated within 5 minutes. The food was excellent and the waitress was a little cold at first but she said she had been there all day and was really tired. She warmed up to us (must have been my charm) and made it up to us with great service and a delicious free desert. This 99 is a little different but easy parking and very clean (esp. for that time of day. Koodo's for the crab cakes with lots of lump crab that was tender and fresh.
