This place just keeps getting worse, it's so sad. Terrible service, and the food was even worse and the table was sticky, the floors never look clean. Not worth your time or money. read more

Tough review since I'm a 99 fan, and we have barely any restaurants in Gardner, so we are really relying on this restaurant as one of our limited selections here. Food was good during Grand Opening, but since then about half of my deliveries were incorrect. And yes, this even before Door Dash grabbed the order. Bags are sealed. One time we called the GM after we were missing 3-4 drinks and could not drag an apology out of her. They would not re-deliver, so unless we wanted to eat fried food without drinks, I had to drive into the store and wait in the lobby for 10 minutes, even though it was empty, while my family waited at the dinner table. If you want to chance getting your food right here, then order something fried with no substitutes or drinks, and you should be good to go. read more

the southwest fajita carnitas pork bowl was okay the meat was seasoned well and a little tough and the guac was for limey. Like a cheap chipotle. The salmon was okay just a little dry and over cooked but the mashed potatoes and the rice were good. The rice was seasoned well. The brownies were very cake like and was not brownie like at all. The chocolate sauce made the brownie taste a lot better and the ice cream was good too. Nothing special and was the only place open pretty late. read more

I recently got a to go order at the 99 in Gardner and Sarah was awesome. She came right out to the car, even though it was very cold out. She had a smile on her face and was a pleasure to meet. She was extremely friendly and accommodating. Kudos to her!! read more

I ordered the Seafood Trio. The menu clearly states that it is sea scallops, but they are not. They are bay scallops and obviously don't taste like sea scallops. I spoke to the staff and the manager and they just shrugged their shoulders. This is clearly false advertising and the price should have been lowered. David Dembek Gardner MA 99 read more

Online order for lunch, ready on time and they do still bring it out to your vehicle which is nice, however how about some plastic utensils and napkins with the order? Fish and chips isn't finger food, no one pays attention to detail anymore, anywhere. read more

It's the 99 here in Gardner. For a chain it's pretty ok. Clean, good staffing a variety on the menu w seasonal extras. I can always find a healthy choice at 99. read more

Got takeout tonight from here. The portion of fries given was laughable. On top of this we discovered a hair in the burger. Disgusting! Maybe I have bad luck with any 99 locations because I have found hair at the Westford and Fitchburg location in my entrees in the past. Now Gardner too?! Gross. read more

The main women who works nights at the bar is very rude and can not be bothered. I had been looking at a menu topper at end of bar for 1/2 price apps, the women saw I had been looking at prior to ordering, i then ordered 4 of the apps specifically on that menu and when the bill came was charged full price. 1/2 price did not start till 8PM and it was 7:45PM. I missed that part, my mistake, however, I work with people and understand mistakes are made, when asked if she could help she said "there is nothing I can do" which is lazy and bs, she can ask a manager, she could help someone out, but nothing was done to help, never went back to her again and left a $0 tip. Customer service skills are basic and some work in that field and cant even do that. Have not gone back since, 99 has cold beer on tap and decent boneless wings, everything else is applebee's 2.0 read more

Food and service was great, Hostess guy kept picking his nose wile I was eating, he then served popcorn to the couple next to us, gross!!! Don't eat the popcorn read more

Went to the nines couple nights ago was craving steak tips and mashed potatoes both were good. Place was clean and waitress was decent was offered some popcorn. Sure I'll take some popcorn went during happy hour apps are all like 6 bucks or some shit like that ( tiny weenie print) it says at the bar. So I got my bill they charged me $11 for my Buffalo tendies which were eh. A few peices were just small cuts and over cooked. The blue cheese dressing is top notch. But back to the half price apps I brought it to my waitress attention she got it taken care of they took $5 off the bill which went to the waitress anyhow. I wasn't at the bar but was at a pub table in the bar which may have saved me all in all was in and out and full. No room for desert. This was the Gardner location read more

I was on the road and thought I would splurge with a dessert from the 99 to go. Ordered the Choc. Chip Cookie Skillet. It comes with ice cream. I arrived right on time and the server came right out. It came in a nice, substantial plastic bag, and the server was super friendly and efficient! I pulled around in the lot to enjoy my decadent treat. The menu stated that it was "warm and gooey." It was neither warm nor gooey! I was so bummed that the cookie was not heated up. It was large, but it just tasted like a cookie you would get from a gas station convenience store. The scoop of ice cream came in a separate cup within the cookie container. It was fine--your basic vanilla ice cream. They said it came with utensils, but it was only a knife and fork! I finished the ice cream but not the cookie. Oh well, so much for my splurge. Struck out with this one. Three stars for the service and the ice cream. read more

My wife and i went to the 99 restaurant for national burger day, we ordered burgers well done and they were rare. You would think being a brand new establishment they could get cooking a burger right. When we were leaving out in the parking lot we could see the manager speaking a cook and the cook walked away way to go 99. Also i went there a week before with my brother and we got some apps at the bar, when we tried to order a second time the women bartender said no we were like what. She thought we were trying to order them to go 1/2 off app's you can't take to go but she just assumed we were taking them to go you can't treat people like that. I'm not sure if I will be back that's 2 for 2 in a new restuarant. read more

We order 99 delivery quite often and have always been pleased. Last night was a different story. The kids grilled cheese meals were all bread with just a tiny bit if cheese in the middle and both our salads were mostly rotted lettuce with tons of croutons. I called to complain about the quality of food we received. The manager said I'd have to call door dash for a refund. Door Dash doesn't make the food they just deliver. So disappointed that we had to throw all that food away, we won't be ordering anytime soon. read more

Just ate there. Very disappointed!!! No one was wearing a mask. We were told that the manager cannot ask if they have been vaccinated. we think that people in the food business should be wearing a mask if they have not been vaccinated. We will not eat there unless we know that all workers are vaccinated. My husband got the new SEAFOOD STUFFIES...looked like 2 lumps of dog poop!!! and he found 4 tiny pieces of shrimp and couldn't tell if scallops were even in there...everything was so minced up!!!! My boneless wings & skins were O.K. read more

I'm going to first start off with the take out employees being unwelcoming and snappy. They made me feel I was being a burden just from the condescending tone they had. Not to mention, the food was dry and cold which is confusing considering I was told to wait while my order "finishes up". Unfortunately this was my first experience eating at this franchise and will also be my last. Definitely disappointing read more

Southwest fajita bowl was nothing but a bowl of wilted lettuce and rice. Very little peppers, onions. No beans, corn, guacamole, or siracha sauce. Artichoke dip was bland and cold. Ordered and paid for extra siracha sauce which I did not receive. Very expensive meal which ended up in the trash. read more

My family and I dine at 99 regularly and although not every experience has been 5 star it's a restaurant and restaurants have lots of opportunities for problems. Very disappointed in the food. I asked for well done tips and I got medium well fatty steak. The asparagus was lacking in quantity. Broccoli was pathetic. Potatoes are okay though. The only positive note i could leave would be delivery. He was earlier than expected so that was nice. But that's doordash. And somehow i had to pay the 99 a $7.50 delivery fee. Doesnt make much sense to me when im less than a half mile away and still tip delivery. So all in all this restaurant is overpriced and not a good meal. Ugh. read more

I'm not sure how anyone can complain about this local chain. Although it's not flashy and doesn't offer cutting edge cuisine, it simply doesn't disappoint, and prices and portion are good all around. If you are a New England local, you've probably been to the nines many times, but if you're coming from out of the area and want a good taste of New England at a decent price, this does the trick. It's the place I had my first legal drink, a Barbados breeze (not necessarily proud of that since those types of drinks are too sugary for me now!), and where our group "pre-games" before Patriots tailgates and games (Foxboro). I normally stick with the burgers, tips, and boneless wings (gold fever!!), but I've enjoyed the Mediterranean bowls and baked haddock here and there. Food is almost always cooked perfectly to order, and service is typically friendly and patient. It's a good family restaurant, and one of my favorite go to's of all time. read more

Food and service were excellent. we have been so excited for this to open. My daughter has celiac disease. For the last 9 years thenonly safe place to eat was the ninety nine in fitchburg. We have eaten here in gardner three times and she has gotten sick twice from cross contamination. Guess its back to Fitchburg. So sad. Was so happy to have a safe local place. I guess Our home town will never be celiac friendly. As a side note, we have never had this issue at any other ninety nine and will still eat at the others when we travel. read more

I've been going to this chain off and on since about 1992 or so. I've never really had a bad meal at a 99. Our experience here was similar. Great food, great dessert, great service and at a reasonable cost. My hamburger was excellent and cooked right. One of the things I've always liked about the 99 is that they contribute to the Pine Street Inn in Boston. Not as fancy as Grille 110, but better, and cheaper, too. Recommended!!! read more

Usually enjoy the 99 but this location seems to have problems. I tried take out and the food was cold when I got home only live 4 miles from restaurant and came 10 minutes before they told me it would be ready so I don't get that. And the portion size was very small compared to when I get them in house ( extra large order of gold wings) The last time I went this week I ordered rare steak tips and got well done beyond well done really it was like they left it on the grill and forgot about it. They did remake them and still over cooked but not as bad. But since everyone else had already finished their meals long before the second plate came I excepted it. The server was great and that's why they got the two stars. read more

Food was serviceable. It was what we expected from a chain. Our service was not good, however. The waitress took our order and then we never saw her again, except for her to drop off my wine (which she admitted she forgot was at the bar). She didn't deliver the food or check in on us, didn't see if we needed more drinks, and didn't ask if we needed a takeout box for my husband's leftovers. She dropped off the bill, took another table's order, and never took our bill with the credit card clearly exposed. I had to run the bill to a manager so we could get our son home to bed. I'm a waitress and I'm always good for 20-30% for one of my own; but this girl earned a solid 5% from me tonight. read more

Went back today at child's request. Took a few minutes for server to come but went better after that. Hope it keeps improving.

Amazing food and great service. My family and I had a wonderful dinner. I recommend the steak tips, they were delicious!

Place is good but I think the the severs should put on masks I got my shot but still put one on this is not safe.....

Didn't even get to order. Walked in was seated. Waited and waited and our server never showed up. Got up and walked out. As we walked out we noticed all the servers hovered in the back of the restaurant. That's not a good look especially when you're trying to bounce back from a pandemic. 0/10 do not recommend. read more

i ordered scallops last year at both the Fitchburg and Gardner and in both cases the fish was undercooked. My mother and sister had the same experience. The thing that hurts is that you don't want to send it back because you're afraid that the cook will then overlook it and it will be rubbery. SuzyQ read more

The first time I went I gave them the benefit of doubt because it was a new restaurant. Waitress needed more experience with the menu, hostesses needed to do better job of seating (people with walkers could not navigate the restaurant). Food was good though so we went back last week. Waitress was much better. Excellent in fact. Until I double checked something with the person in my party who looked at the bill. We had a coupon for a free appetizer. The waitress took the coupon, but never deducted the appetizer from the bill. Never got the coupon back either. This is my third poor experience in a row with a 99. The first was in Hudson. Hoping the Gardner 99 goes out of business so we get a better restaurant in their place. UPDATE Jenn A. I do not see a message the business link read more

1st and last time going here. Love the 99 but this was horrible. First it wasn't even busy, we waited Almost 15 minutes for our Appetizer and of course our meals came out 2 minutes later. They forgot to make my daughter meal and even after waiting for it it tasted horrible. Then my dads meal which he gets at the 99 when he goes rated horrible and the waiter just said oh I'm sorry and that's it. Gardner finally get a big name restaurant and it's horriable! read more
