Extremely disappointing experience with Thirsty Robot…read more In March of this year, Thirsty Robot agreed to host a fundraiser organized to benefit a young woman battling Stage IV cancer, with an agreed-upon minimum. Just one month before the event, they suddenly doubled that minimum. Despite this last-minute change, we made every effort to work with management to find a reasonable compromise. Instead, the manager essentially disappeared for FOUR WEEKS. Multiple emails and Facebook messages went unanswered, leaving us with no clarity just days before the event. With only THREE DAYS until the fundraiser, the manager finally responded, waiving the minimum entirely (something we had never even requested), but did so in an unnecessarily rude and unprofessional manner. A phone conversation the following day was even worse, filled with rudeness, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of compassion. This was never about getting something for free. We simply expected Thirsty Robot to honor its original agreement, communicate with us, and treat people with basic respect and professionalism. We are now scrambling to move our fundraiser to a new venue just days before the event. What should have been a positive community event has turned into weeks of unnecessary stress and frustration. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency throughout this experience has been shocking. I would strongly encourage anyone considering giving Thirsty Robot their business to think twice.

This experience already started out poorly when the chef came bursting out of the kitchen to scream at the waitress who took our order. Apparently they were out of fried goat cheese. I ordered the steak and cheese egg rolls instead. That left a bad taste in my mouth to say the least seeing as he would be the one making our food. We had a soda and a cocktail while we waited for our food. The waitress is the only reason I'm giving this place any stars because she was kind and pleasant to interact with. The food took a while to come out and the establishment was not busy. When we got home the pizza looked lackluster. It was supposed to be a chicken fajita pizza but had banana peppers on it instead of bell peppers. The pizza was not good and we did not even eat half of it. The egg rolls were greasy and not flavorful. You would be much better off going to another pizza restaurant in town. This is our second time visiting the new location and the first time trying the food. We will not be back.

The Jim Atkinson band is a foursome of Boston-area musicians that has been cranking out great blues, rock, & roots since 2017. We loved them, especially enjoying the creative keyboard and a real live sax! Their music selection was amazing, more their favorite solid blues than old-standbys, so we didn't recognize every song. But that's real music :-) The $1 New England oysters were big and juicy! They started at 4pm before we got there, and they still had plenty for us after 7pm! They say the variety changes with availability. These were not overly salty. This was dinner for us, and we started with their hot-skillet "Mexican Corn Dip" with zingy pico de gallo salsa and fresh crisp corn tortilla chips. We got a "warm energy" bowl of quinoa, fresh tart cranberries, baby spinach, roasted sweet potato, and goat cheese, flavored with some scallions and garlic-butter. Huge, delicious, and very satisfying! The Fish 'n Chips was a full-foot-long full of their own Moon-Hill-beer beer-battered haddock, piping-hot fries, fresh crunchy coleslaw, with tartar sauce. Yep, Huge, delicious, and satisfying! We tried their parmesan-garlic wings, but that wasn't our favorite. They were ok, but not crispy which we expected. Came with crunchy celery and creamy bleu cheese. Of course we leaned on their in-house Moon Hill brewery for several dry IPAs, their luscious Candy Mountain blueberry sour, (which could have been colder), and a very tasty non-alcohol Blueberry (Not)-tini, a bubbly beverage crafted with "Reàl Blueberry Purée", fresh lemon juice and lemonade.
