Before we had even finished looking, a man told us that if we weren't buying anything, we needed to leave. We explained that we were planning on buying something, but he kept insisting that we leave because he said he knew we weren't going to purchase anything. Then a woman came over and started raising her voice at us. She told us to get out in a very rude manner and even called us "annoying." The whole situation felt unnecessary because we had not caused any problems and were simply looking at what to buy. The man at the front counter also threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. At one point he said something else, but I couldn't understand him because he had a very heavy accent and few teeth. As we were leaving, I overheard the woman call us "weird people," which made the situation feel even more disrespectful. Later, one of my friends went back inside to calmly ask why we had been treated that way, but instead of explaining, the employees immediately started yelling at him to leave and again threatened to call the police.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. We came in intending to buy snacks, but instead we were treated with suspicion and hostility from the moment we walked in. I've never experienced customer service like this before and felt that we were treated unfairly.

The cheapest we got was a small lint roller for $1.79 everything else was higher for generic and off-brand items. Mylar balloons were $5 each and that did not include any helium to blow them up. The store is really dingy and messy. As some others have noted, the one redeeming section is the craft area if you need some things for school science projects they have quite a bit. Otherwise you're better off going to Target or 5 below for better prices, better quality, and a cleaner store.

For the most part, there is always a decent bustle of people going in and out of here at all times. I would know because, I'm one of them. Like all 99 Cent stores in NYC, this place looks as if it's been around for a long time. The signage is consistent with all the other 99 cent spots and the lack of ventilation (stale air) gives this place the proper feel that all locals will recognize from nostalgia alone. Service isn't the fastest, but I would assume no one comes here for this. What I do come here for is the random finds that this place tends to have and others don't. Usually I go in with a mission: find a charging cable, a temporary household good, or something I knew that wouldn't last me long and was good for the pinch. I usually end up walking out of here with a few more items than I anticipated for. That's the mark of a good store, me thinks.

First, marshalls alone is awesome! Especially a good marshalls. You can get everything from a cute outfit, to makeup, to a purse, sneakers, shoes, stationary, i can go on and on.. but to add home goods to it, man! That was a scary place to be on a budget. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and to be expected, it was absolutely packed. But, i found some goodies. Unfortunately, i didn't take any photos of anything. But this was one of the best places to shop. Highly recommend. Only thing is, i didn't have more time to shop, and more money to spend. Where is my rich husband? lol. (Jk)

People are coming and going…read moreregularly since this is a shopping complex, so I was able to find parking in the huge lot within a matter of minutes. Grab a shopping cart from OUTSIDE or good luck with finding one inside. They have TONS of stuff inside with a huge housing goods, womens, and shoe section. As usual ladies have the bigger and better selections. Here is the true killer here though, I came mid day on a Sunday which is usually slow in most places but ended up waiting on one of the most massive lines I have ever seen anywhere. It literally wrapped around 2 lanes and then continued to wrap all the way into the home goods section. Imagine a Shake Shack line during peak time multiplied by 3 and you get the idea. They REALLY need more registers or faster clerks, I'm sure they lose a lot of money from people changing their mind on merchandise or calling it quits from the line. If you want a great selection and have the patience to the survive the massive register line, then you should be ok. As for me, I will never come at a time that remotely has the chance to be busy, perhaps Ill see you on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon sir lol

They have a big variety of close outs and bargains you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else. They can sell things such as designer sunglasses that would cost you around $20 or more for just $1! They have all types of assorted personal and household items, as well as clothing at amazingly low prices. They also have all sorts of food items. Not everything is a big bargain but mostly it's all priced pretty well. If you know your prices you won't overpay, but keep in mind it's not ALL cheaper than you could find elsewhere. They have a lot of food items, although some of them are close to expiration, but often it doesn't matter at all since the expiration dates don't mean much and you can freeze things as well. They have a lot of cheeses at super bargain prices, and also chocolates that would cost you 3 times as much elsewhere. Chocolates don't really go bad quickly either. Overall it's a great place to check out if you are in the area and looking for some bargains and close outs!

The store was very clean and orderly and the lines moved quickly. Especially being right near Times Square, expected it to be more messy. The staff here do a good job.
