    Gift bags galore!
    Cheryl C.

I step into this discount store every week or so because I need something and remember 99 Cent Dreams has it for a fraction of the price that I'd pay at Duane Reade/Walgreens/Staples/Amazon. There is a wide variety of things in this store and I almost always get a good deal on something. Unless it's a brand I know and trust, I don't expect the best quality. When I buy snacks (granola bars, pretzels, candy)I always check for an expiration date. I've never bought or seen anything rotten so I buy a lot of school supplies here (glue, dry eraser markers, notebooks, scissors, workbooks), gift bags, party supplies, goody bag toys, arts & crafts supplies, packing tape, coffee mugs, seasonal and holiday decorations (Halloween, Easter, Christmas, etc.) Staff is always very nice. Sometimes there is a line at checkout but it moves quickly. Disclaimer: Not everything in this store is 99 cents but you'll still find many great deals!

Large variety, pretty good prices. Staff not so friendly. Super sale stuff right up front. Always cheap holiday stuff

Bought some packaged food. Ugh, tasteless and no SELL BY DATE. Makes wonder how old the rest of the food is.

The prices have change throughout the years due to inflation and tariffs the past years. The prices are displayed on rack with conversion. Now if there is no price display on items, it is $2 something. You can always as a worker. They are around the floor. Nevertheless this place is great place. Wish there is more location in Manhattan/ NYC.

This store is massive, and it went above my expectations. I personally expected to find stationary items, and other paper goods. But there's so much more. They have unique Japanese snacks and candy. There's an assortment of organizing tools, they have baby and toddler supplies. There are proper glass cups, plates and bowls. They have those large, trendy stuffies and plush blankets. Anything and everything can be found at Daiso. Most items are under $5.00, any item without a price tag is $2.25. I wish they offered a restroom for customers, so they're not rushing to leave, when they had the intention to make a purchase. This is based on personal experience. Daiso is a fun retailer. There are so many unique and affordable items.

What I mean by that is, I remember and recognize from which section/aisle has the cheap beauty products, cute Squishmallow plushies, or even the tech stuff like laptop stands and usb-c phone cables. Has a decent selection of mostly everything in sight. Can see that staff is always working by tidying up the place and making sure everything is up and running. Nothing looks messy and you won't find items lying around on the floor unlike the one in Union Square. Service from staff is usually quick, helpful, and polite. Always accepts both cash and card for payment. They have $3 cute spa headbands and decent lippies from L.A. Girl + Wet & Wild like lipsticks and lipglosses for $3. A small decent-size LED mirror is like $5. Can never resist and usually end up buying a plushie or two especially the cute ones smh. I can totally stay and walk around at 5Below for hours. It's warm in there anyway lol. Out of Target + CVS + Walgreens, Five Below has the most affordable pricing ever for Squishmallow plushies at only $5 (plus 55¢ for tax). Can easily walk out from Five Below by already spending $20-30 since everything is just so affordable. It's kinda hard to leave without spending $1. So for me, Five Below has good value things despite it might be selling at lower price points.

They had some cool stuff that we were able to get at a reasonable price. I was very satisfied with…read moreour purchases.

It's a multi-level store that is separated like most bookstores into genres as expected. They had lots of newer books but still plenty of classics as well. My wife even happened to come across a book she has been looking for and wanting to read for a long while so big win there. Staff were friendly and we did not have a long wait to buy the book, no line. Prices felt quite standard for a book store. This was a fantastic independent book store and one definitely worth visiting for book lovers or those seeking gifts for a book lover in their life.

The store isn't huge, but it's incredibly well-stocked and, being on the street level of a Rockefeller Center building, gets incredible light through their windows. The staff were friendly and I had practically picked out a book while window shopping (their inventory is incredible). Since 2021, McNally Jackson is also a publisher, publishing a paperback reprint series devoted to "hidden gems." I had to pick up one of their titles. Great shop for bibliophiles.
