Further, he did absolutely no cuticle work and rushed throughout the entire process. I told him I didn't like the work he did and he proceeded to laugh at me and tell me that he "has a 2 year old and a 4 year old" at home and "doesn't have time to help me". I told him I was going to leave him a negative review seeing as though this was my first time coming here and he treated me with such disdain and he then began yelling at me! Taunting me about the fact that I was going to leave him a negative review. He rushed the service, kept acting like it was an issue for me to even be there to begin with. Then told me "well you came at 6". which was the appointment time HE GAVE TO ME when I called earlier in the morning to make an appointment. He is a dishonest, unkind business man and he aggressively kept taunting me when I specifically asked him to get finished so I could pay and leave. I paid him and left and then he stood in the doorway and took a picture of my license plate, further indicating his tendencies for violence which was absolutely uncalled for considering I had already paid and left the establishment without any issue. To taunt a NEW customer like that just because I said I would leave this review is 100% unacceptable. Sun is aggressive and gets angry with customers when they tell him they do not like the work he or his shop has done. He doesn't even deserve this 1 star that was given in this review. This is something other customers who plan to go here should definitely know about. Due to his aggressive nature I have alerted the Downers Grove Police Department regarding his conduct, particularly in that he took a picture of my license plate with the intent to cause harm. The first staff that greeted me barely looked up from her phone. I'm used to being told to pick a color at nail salon prior to sitting down in pedicure chair. The woman was halfway through my pedicure before having me pick my color. I felt that my services were extremely slow. I was there about an hour and a half for a regular pedicure and no chip manicure. The services were not relaxing. I am also not a fan of salons that have one service provided by one technician and another service by different technician. My no chip started chipping at 9 days. Just an ok experience.

Both my friend and I were able to walk in for immediate pedicures. They had an excellent selection of OPI and Essie colors (and didn't have a problem with my friend bringing her own color). We snuggled into some very deep massage chairs for a relaxing late afternoon treat. The salon was very clean, and had one of those special heat cleaners for the instruments...I've heard enough infection horror stories that I generally don't go to a salon without them! The nail techs were friendly and efficient, and I felt that they did a good job on each of us. $35 for a mani-pedi, a pretty standard deal. however, they DO have a Monday-Tuesday special for $30 for the duo, if you happen to live in the area! If I'm even back in the burbs (well, La Grange!) and in need of some nail attention, I will definitely go back!
