Great service and did exactly what I requested. Will use again. Fixed broken line and dug a hole for a 4x4 and cemented in. Great work.

I can't say enough good things about Eddie and his crew at Eagleview Landscaping. After years of…read morewater pooling around the foundation of my home, I knew I needed to get proper drainage installed to divert water away from the house. I had already spoken with several landscaping companies, and I was honestly struggling to find someone I felt confident would come up with the right solution. I received some surprisingly high quotes, including from companies that were willing to recommend drainage solutions without even coming out to personally assess the property. That made me very hesitant about moving forward. Then Eddie reached out through Yelp, and even from our initial phone conversation, I had a completely different feeling. He took the time to listen, explain what issues I might be dealing with, and walk me through the different drainage options. At first, I was hesitant about the $300 survey fee for the laser measurement of the property's slope. Looking back, I realize this was one of the best parts of the process. Rather than guessing where the water was going or what needed to be done, Eddie was able to properly assess the slope and use that information to determine the best drainage solution for my property. The $300 survey fee is subtracted from the final cost if you use them, which is nice.  Eddie provided me with a very detailed quote and even sent me a video showing the problem areas in my yard since I wasn't able to meet him in person. I'm someone who likes to understand exactly what I'm paying for, so I had A LOT of questions. Eddie spent a good amount of time on the phone with me explaining everything, and I never once felt rushed or like I was being a nuisance. He made sure I understood what we were doing and why. Once we scheduled the work, Eddie also handled having the property properly marked by PG&E before they began digging. Throughout the project, I received updates and videos showing the progress and any issues they came across. There were a couple of additional problems they discovered along the way, and Eddie was upfront about them and provided quotes before doing any additional work. The drainage project was a big job, but his crew completed it within the original estimated timeframe, which I was very impressed with given the size of the project and the Sacramento heat! They also did a great job cleaning everything up afterward. The grass definitely took a hit from the work and the intense Sacramento summer heat, but Eagleview even replaced the areas of grass that had been dug up with new sod. Most importantly, I now feel confident that I have a proper drainage system in place to divert water away from my home instead of allowing it to pool around the foundation like it had been doing for years. And knowing that the work comes with a warranty gives me even more peace of mind. A huge THANK YOU to Eddie and his entire crew for the hard work, professionalism, communication, and care they put into this project. Finding the right contractor for something this important was stressful, and I'm very grateful that Eddie reached out when he did. If you have drainage or water runoff issues and are trying to figure out what the right solution is, I would absolutely recommend giving Eddie at Eagleview Landscaping a call. I'm very glad I did!

I rarely write reviews, but Stephen at Tried & True Irrigation absolutely earned this one…read more I originally called because one irrigation zone had stopped working. After trying to troubleshoot it myself (and making things considerably more confusing!), Stephen came out for a diagnostic and quickly sorted through years of previous repairs and workarounds. He discovered that one controller output had failed, a previous contractor had combined two zones as a temporary fix, one of the drip valves had failed, and the original valve wiring needed to be remapped correctly. Rather than simply replacing a single part and leaving me with an aging system, he took the time to explain my options without any pressure. I decided to replace the controller, all five valves, solenoids, and wiring so the entire irrigation system would essentially be brand new. The workmanship is outstanding. The wiring is clean and organized, every valve is labeled, the controller is programmed and clearly documented, and everything now works exactly as it should. What impressed me most was Stephen's professionalism, honesty, and communication. He patiently answered all of my questions, explained what he was finding, and made sure I understood why each recommendation was being made. It's obvious he takes pride in doing the job right rather than just getting the job done. If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and meticulous, I highly recommend Stephen and Tried and True Irrigation. This was one of the best home service experiences I've had, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

On 9/10/26 I spoke to Stephen regarding my irrigation system. During that initial phone…read moreconversation, I did agree to the $150 service fee, but I did not take it to seriously because nothing was put in writing. Every contractor I've ever dealt with sends written confirmation of the appointment, cost, and scope of work before the job, and you agree to it by responding. This never happened. We set up an appointment for 9/14/26. According to CSLB, the service fee and terms should be put in writing so there is no confusion and both parties are in agreement. When Stephen arrived, he checked the system. After he finished, he again mentioned charging $150. The plumber from the insurance company had already run tests to determine where the problem was. I was uncomfortable paying him because we did not have an agreement in writing, and a licensed plumber had already done an assessment. Stephen also told me he wanted me to leave the water to the sprinkler system on for a few days so he could come back and check the area in the front yard that had previously had a pool of water. I had already mentioned this issue to him earlier. I was against leaving the water on, because the system was not working properly and last month's water bill was $205. It didn't make sense to run a malfunctioning system and wastewater. After he went around the house, he showed me on his cell phone the prices of each item that needed to be replaced. The total came out to approximately $2200. A few hours later, I had an appointment with a plumber for my water heater. The shut-off valves for the sprinkler and water heater. The shut-off valves for the sprinkler and water to the house needed the knob replaced (according to the plumber from the insurance company). We felt that a landscaper would not be comfortable removing this. He said he would send me an estimate. I showed him the sprinkler pop-ups that Stephen looked at earlier, and they had been vandalized. All I saw was a clear plastic tube sticking up out of the ground. Stephen was upset because I did not pay him, so he took the sprinkler heads. This is ridiculous extremely unprofessional. If it were me, I would put everything in writing. Stephen told me he did not want the job because he felt he would not get paid. But if you are a licensed contractor and have a written contractual agreement, and the customer doesn't pay, you can take them to court.
