(She is a senior citizen and doesn't get downstairs daily.) She got the sewer snaked but had no idea what to do about the mess. My husband told me to call ServPro, after seeing their trucks everywhere in Iowa, after a terrible storm system moved through the state. I called ServPro in Farmington and shared with them my sister's story and I asked for their help. They were wonderful! Kyle and Len came out (after an initial job inspection and quote), and left her basement and laundry room looking and smelling wonderful! They swept everything, wiped down and sanitized all her boxes and furnishings that were on the tile floor, removed some laundry to be taken care of and washed and sanitized the floors. They left numerous big fans in place, and will return to get them in a few days. I couldn't imagine what we would have done had we had to struggle through this ourselves. They did an amazing job, were professional, and friendly!

They were fast at first, but once the cleanup ended, the "reconstruction" phase became a nightmare. The Trap: They demanded a 70% deposit before they would even give me a quote, a timeline, or a walkthrough. The Fees: When I refused to pay for an invisible plan, they charged me massive cancellation feejust to walk away. The contract signed during the mitigation process gives them the ability to conduct your reconstruction on their timeline. The Threats: They claimed they could sue me for "lost profits" because I wouldn't agree to their unreasonable terms.
