I bought 10 adult lessons at 911 Bellevue Driving school. They can't schedule in advanced all 10 lessons, it was a nightmare for scheduling these ten lessons. They kept scheduling me every lesson once per 2 weeks. It's not great business that they even allowed me to buy 10 lessons if they can't accommodate people. They are not providing the service that I paid money for. Instructors in general are very nice people, some of them did very great job, some of them just wanted to get away easily to make you drive in parking lot most of the time. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before getting started here. Every interaction, especially the webite, is horrible and takes hours to sort out with calls that are never answered. And, I now remember that during his classes, I once had to drive down to get the login in for a makeup online class emailed to him because it did not come and no one would answer. WA state should seriously reconsider partnering with this company as an official testing site. The worst driving school ever. Al the workers are not familiar with the their own procedures and will let you wait an hour until you asked them your arrangement . It seems like 4 procedure with 4 different workers. The workers are rude, not helpful and gaslighting you once you pointed it out it's a work flaw. Since there is no 911 driving school listed on Yelp for Bothell, I am rating here. I would give this company a .5 star if I could. I spent over $600 on the class for my son and I have also spent $225 for him to retake failed driving tests. Here are the reasons he has failed. A. Backing around a corner (he was 12 plus inches from the curb once, when do you ever need to do this?) B. Backing around a corner (he curbed it) C. Speed Bump (he braked going over a speed bump. NONE OF THIS STUFF was taught to him in the class and yet I am out $225 more because the driving school needs to make money. read more

I took 5 classes + warm up and road test with 911 driving school. I was taking classes with different instructors in the first 3. My 4th class was with Logan McCleerey and he made my journey that much easier. Logan gave me great tips and constructive feedback. He is gave me plenty of confidence boosts. It was a key to my success as I am a nervous driver. For my road test and warm up class, he went outside his schedule and accommodated me. I greatly appreciate that. Logan is the best. Scam alert. I have taken road test twice with them and both times I failed with approx. 6ish marks. Second time fail was seriously uncalled, it felt the examiner had already decided the end result before even starting the test. He gave instructions late and then deducted marks for late signaling. He even deducted my marks for not checking left blind spot that was definitely not the case with me. I opted not to argue at the end but I won't ever recommend the school to my friends as of course nobody wants to loose confidence unnecessarily. They have great instructors, and they teach people to drive well, so that needs to be said. But we had to sign up during COVID-19. The school does not have great availability for drives around traditional school hours- and that made it even harder to get in my kid's drives given that there were COVID-19 restrictions. They asked for our understanding and patience, which we gave. The materials presented to parents are not the clearest, and are fairly dense - I think that some improvement could be made in how they outline the step by step process. We ended up missing a drive - and paying the fee- because we were very sick. I had to get COVID-19 tests for our entire family (we tested three times that week) and both kids were obviously out of school. I did not call the school prior, which I ought to have, but we were very, very sick in our household. As it turns out, we did not have COVID though we had the full list of symptoms and I was out sick from work for two weeks. But the driving school would not consider waiving the missed fee, not even when I offered to supply our tests from that week - both sets of them- and the emails from my kids' regular schools requesting we remain out of school until tests came back negative. Given the cost of this school, and that we are in a pandemic, and this was a health related concern (and a high level one) I feel this was unreasonable. We were protecting their health by not coming to our appointment. It's frustrating that they had such limited appointments, and such long delays and then extended no understanding or even a pathway to discuss and review the additional charge . As any parent will attest, school schedules, online schooling, trying to work and secure childcare and keep a regular schedule has been an intense challenge this year. I had to change so many appointments because my son's academic school was constantly adapting to the pandemic, and that resulted in a lot of tricky scheduling. I managed it well, with the exception of one missed phone call when I was desperately ill. You cannot ask your clients or students to be understanding that you are not delivering as expected due to extenuating circumstances and then punish them for the same thing and have them feel they've had a good value for the money. read more

DO NOT sign up for 911 driving school. They clearly state in their agreement that they will refund your money if you need to cancel. The cancellation policy states they will give you a full refund (less $25) - I notified them 4 weeks prior to the class and have yet to receive my $595 refund. I have been emailing them for three weeks and only 1 person has responded to my 5 emails I have sent, and still no refund. Very disheartening of a business to do that. read more

Do not choose this school for your teenager's driving lessons. It's nearly impossible to schedule classes on their website as they're always fully booked. They haven't taken any steps to address the issue, like hiring more instructors, causing stress for both parents and students. Moreover, they're extremely inflexible; when we were 10 minutes late due to unexpected traffic, they refused the lesson and threatened a $40 fine. What's worse, we couldn't find any available classes for the next two months on their website. Their package has a time limit, yet they make scheduling lessons so difficult. 911 Driving Bellevue's instruction is still 100% online - with upwards of 60 students in each class and still charging full rate ~$700-$800. What they have failed to resolve by doubling their students is the nightmare finding availability to book any of the 5 practice drives. And, though you have already forked out $800 for them to teach your teen how to drive, when they fail a knowledge or road test, they charge you an additional $75 each time, so they make more money with inevitable retakes. And, when you take time off of work for a scheduled road test and THEY do not have an instructor present for the in-person drive...they do not even bother to call you. 911 Driving -Bellevue is racking it in, and if you want to pay them to teach your teen how to drive, and when they don't pass a test, pay them more...then have at. They financially benefit when your kid fails. PS. My teen has all As in school, for what it's worth. currently, the law requirEd anyone under 18 to cash upwards of $1000 to a school like 911 Driving before they are licensed to drive. This law needs to be reversed. It's not fair for kids that cannot afford it, it's not offered as an elective and all of the material is available without these extortionist fees. read more

I have been driving safely for 15 years, as a mom I frequently drive children around! Because of circumstances where my license in CA had just expired before my move to WA I had to take these tests again! I wish I had read the reviews on here before I picked a driving school at random to get the tests done. I failed to pass the driving test with these folks for the silliest of reasons. Now I see that I will have to pay them a few more times for a few more tests before I am allowed to pass. Also. Outsourcing drivers test to the driving schools is a conflict of interest at best and just a money making scam at worst. Wish the DMV did these tests themselves to keep it unbiased. Update: Hannah from their office called me to take a road test again for free the next day with a "nicer" instructor as she put it and I passed. Go figure. read more

I did both my knowledge and skills test here. This place is hands down the best testing company/facility in all of the Greater Seattle Area! I'm confident that these other reviews leaving bad ratings for this specific location have no idea what "good service" means, or failed to study properly and are blaming this location for not being "easy enough" for them to pass with. I did a lot of research before deciding to come here, and I'm really glad I chose this place. I've had 8 years of driving experience, but since I've got a license from Ontario, I had to do the written and driving skills tests all over again to be licensed in WA. This facility accommodates same-day knowledge tests, and early morning skills test bookings; I booked skills test for 7am on a Saturday, and was done before 8am (usually would take the full hour)! I bought the package that had the 40 minute "warm up" before the test started; I believe the cost was $90. The knowledge test was a separate $20, both prices of which are reasonable, given the quality of service and the test vehicle they let you use (especially because this is also a driving school). This review is going to be 5 parts: the website, the written test, the company/facility, the skills test/examiner, and the car provided. There will be an "overall" rating, as well as a "value for money" rating, since a lot of folks don't tend to talk about these pieces either. Website: 9/10; There wasn't much wrong with the website, outside of the form needing a "parent/guardian", despite the fact that I'm 25 (I trolled the website and got a funny response from the person at the facility). The major thing I disliked about it was being unable to know whether or not I'd get to rewrite the test if I failed it right away, although booking the written test itself was quick and easy. A great part of this experience was that the school called me that morning saying I could come in anytime that day to get tested, since they'd already processed my payment and my registration for testing (there's no specific time you need to go in). Written test: 9/10. The cool part about this place is that if you fail it, you can do it again the same day. It's multiple choice, just like every other place that tests, but it seems that this place has different "types" of tests, which have very fast answer key matches to tell whether or not someone failed. I personally did badly on the bike questions, but I don't ride a bike (I don't know how), and I probably will not for the foreseeable future. Company/Facility: 10/10. This place was awesome - the area to write written tests was spotless, but somewhat bland. There's a "classroom" in the back area where the driving school takes place - there were kids coming in to attend the 1pm class as I was leaving. The 911 Driving School cars are parked together behind the facility - this is where either your driving school lessons or your driving skills test (using their car) take place. Skills test/examiner/instructor: 10/10. Kathy was my examiner; she was incredibly personable, and the entire time we were in the car (from the warm-up to the exam), she was extremely professional and helpful, telling me what I could improve on for various techniques, and giving me refreshers for techniques that would be tested that I had forgotten. She had some entertaining stories about her life outside of being an instructor, which I found to be great, because the driving examiners I've had in the past felt drone-like and impersonal. I didn't even know the hour was up by the time the test was over - that's how comfortable I was during this entire test (and I have chronic test anxiety performance issues). Car: 10/10. It's a pretty standard testing / driving school vehicle, decked out with the 911 Driving School logo on the outside. The car handles nicely, has a good set of brakes, and is very generic in terms of the overall driving experience (which is important - you need to have the most "normal" experience learning how to drive with this car, or at least warming up on it if you're testing with it - "quirks" like a weird turning angle or engine issues where the car won't accelerate naturally are terrible and should not be in cars used to test or learn basic driving skill). Overall: 10/10; Value for money: 10/10. I am glad to have taken the 40 minute warm-up option, as I was able to practice critical techniques that would be tested afterwards, such as hill parking, parallel parking, and backwards driving around a corner (all of which I had become rusty in). The examiner was great, the facility and staff were helpful and very efficient, and I felt like a valued customer the entire time I was there. I would highly recommend this establishment for anyone wanting a driving skills or knowledge test. Given that they were professional and helpful in both of these regards, I would also confidently say that their driving school is likely awesome too! GO HERE IF IT'S AN OPTION FOR YOU!! read more

Did the road test here twice. The second try was especially memorable because apparently, I didn't come to a complete stop even though the speedometer showed '0' on the screen. The explanation was that, oh, your car could be at 1/2 a mile and it will show '0' on the dashboard. But I feel that a 0 means 0 on a digital speedometer. I don't recommend taking a test here given the unpleasant experience, but I guess you could go for a warmup with the instructor so that the subjectivities are understood. It is also very difficult to get through the school's line. read more

I got failed twice over small mistakes. One that wasn't dangerous enough for them to press the brake! But hey I'm not the one who judges they are, so they decide whether you fail over small things. Waste of money and time. CAUTION: they use their brake ON EVERYTHING if you use their car. read more

here's my thing about 911 (THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THIS LOCATION) they've failed me multiple times for shoddy reasons when i know i'm not a bad driver. i practice with my dad all the time and i never make mistakes. however, what is interesting about this driving school is that they will fail you for absolutely unnecessary and stupid reasons. and then make you feel like you're a piece of crap or a menace to society about your driving. when you know you're not. it's abhorrent and disgusting the 911 driving school in bellevue is trash. people are very mean and not very placating in what they say to you, and on top of that, they fail you for stupid reasons just so they can take more of your money. DO NOT TAKE UR KIDS HERE TO DRIVE. Horrible experience. Where should I start. First I made an appointment for a drive test, then I got there and was told that i wasn't in the system. Ok so you charged me the money from my credit card but i wasn't in the system? First reschedule. Second time I went there after the rescheduling, was told that they put down my name and email wrong so I still can't take the test....three reschedules!!!! And they wouldn't admit it's their fault. That's not even all. The tester Marc was extremely rude. I get it that they need to be tough to ensure safety, but they have no right to talk me down like I'm a piece of garbage. Without any accident or violations, I have driven in China and Chicago for 10 years, This place make me look like a piece of shit. They failed me 4 times without any comments but just asked me to drive with more confidence. I find it extremely unprofessional to let the instructor play the examiner role at the same time. I do not expect they can teach their student or approach the customers well in this fashion. Failing people three thousand times for making more money is unacceptable and is some kind of opening defiance of the law I believe. I must start off by saying that I am(still) overly impressed by the customer service I was given at this place from the moment I walked in; I was immediately greeted by a young Asian woman with long hair(I didn't ask her name) who really took the time to explain the progrem in full detail and answer ALL of my questions. I didn't have an appointment as I just casually stopped in due to being in the area for an appt. I have been "shopping" for a driving school for my teenage twins for a little over 6 months and just have been disappointed and let down in the quality of customer service the "competitors" offer. I am so relieved and excited that I finally found a GREAT driving school to enroll my boys into. We live in South Auburn and are very much willing to do this commute due to the excellent experience that I was given by this young lady. Kudos to her! Gave my road test and knowledge test here. Passed. I would strongly recommend taking a class or at least a 40 minute warmup before giving the test. They look at nuances which we don't usually follow so it's very easy to fail even when you are a decent driver. My examiner was Jason and I felt he was a friendly guy and he told me many of my mistakes during my warmup session ONLY because of which I was able to pass. read more

Other driving school was way better: spending more time on my daughter and giving detail feedbacks by telling what you did well, what you missed, etc. We wasted $80 in 10 minutes in this place. read more

So far, so great. I took an adult driving course with Robert, one of the co-owners of the company, and he really helped boost my confidence level and my skills - all in the space of one hour. Then, when I mentioned I'd been planning on coming back for more classes, Robert told me I probably wouldn't be getting my money's worth to do so and that I should just practice on my own until I felt ready for the driving test (which he said I was ready for). Rarely does a company tell me to save my money! Robert was incredibly professional, friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I would recommend driving with him to anyone looking to learn. read more

I had very bad experience in Bellevue location. I just took only the driving exam and got failed with a score of 76 inspite of performing better. I am not sure if they expect people to attend their classes before taking driving exam. I am really surprised with the 5 star reviews for this school. I took both the knowledge and the driving test here. It was quick and painless. The people working here were very polite. For the driving test I used their provided car and I also did a 40 minute warmup session before the actual test. The warmup was really helpful to get used to the car dimensions and handling, and to also practice the test maneuvers. The instructor was very polite and gave me good feedback. During the warmup we also rehearsed the maneuvers I performed the worst at. After taking the driving test, they immediately updated my DOL application, so I was able to go straight to the DOL office and get my license. I was able to schedule the driving test very early in the morning (7 - 8am), which enabled me to reach the DOL office before it opened at 8:30, thus avoiding the long lines. read more

I called to make an enquiry and the lady who answered the phone was rude and almost aggressive, because she believed that the answers to my questions were available on the website. She just kept repeating the information saying 'I'm reading from the website' without letting me get a word in edgewise and asking my actual question. My wife took the practice + driving test combo, after hearing from her friends that the practice test helped. We had an examiner who we didn't know his name, and during practice, he constantly asked my wife to drive faster in a rush. He gave the turn instructions very late in the roads, and asked her to forfeit the common Stop sign rule of "first come first serve." The examiner also told my wife that she does not need to stop in the stop sign for about 2-3 seconds before proceeding, and told her that as soon as she stops she can immediately accelerate and go. THIS IS WRONG! After rushing my wife and giving her all these bad instructions, my wife got confused as everything she learned in how to drive safely was rebuked by this examiner, who taught an aggressive & UNSAFE driving style. She was quite lost, and then he took her to the driving test route and at the time my wife was already mentally confused on what to do with stop sign & such and went into a wrong lane. The overall session was supposed to last 45 min (practice) + 15 min (test), but he rushed it in such a way that it only lasted 30 min! Unfortunately we really didn't know this examiner's name. Maybe we'll find out & share, but he looks like a young guy in his 30's, wearing a sun glass & cap, medium size guy, white male, about a bit taller than 6 feet. We cannot say all examiners in 911 are all like this, but the one we had definitely is NOT qualified to be an examiner or a tutor! UPDATE: we went here again to take our second driving test, and this time we specifically requested a different examiner from last time. we still didn't know his name, but this time we had an elder person as examiner. he was bald, but was very nice and patient. i think we really got a good examiner this time and my wife passed the test. read more
