terrible experience with staff, and honestly the worst class I've taken in my life, wish I hadn't taken it. I took it online and all we did the was the homework and then go over the homework and you think after Covid they'd know how to use a computer but nope. I learned almost nothing from this class despite spending many nights studying and completing all the homework on time. I hope they get better staff as for the most part they were rude and felt like they wanted you to be late as they seem to just be money suckers that don't care about making good drivers. read more

I had a blast here! It's a bit strange that I never caught my instructor's name as I think I heard people refer to him as Dustin, Justin, or Tristen at different times. However, he was incredibly supportive and always trusted my decision from day one, even when I didn't know which pedal was for the gas or brake. He was also super responsible and acted as a life coach, encouraging me to trust my gut feelings and keep my eyes on the road. On a referral from a neighbor, we signed our daughter up for ABC and they were great every step of the way. From scheduling classes to driving lessons, to tests and more tests, they communicated well through the process to keep us updated and aware of what was happening the whole time. My daughter always felt comfortable with the drivers and the instructors were consistently happy to help. The staff was helpful when we called with questions and held our hand along the way. I let my driver's license expire when I moved here from the People's Republic of California--apparently Washington frowns upon that. There is zero grace period, and I had to start as if I never had a DL before. My bad. I studied for the written test and took and passed it here. I then scheduled for the driving test and passed that as well. I can now drive legally again. Not that I would nor did ever drive a car without a valid driver's license. That's absurd. Everyone that I interacted with was supportive and helpful during a pretty stressful experience. If I am stupid enough to let my DL expire again, I would definitely come back here again. read more

Today I went to ABC driving school on Shoreline Aurora and it was my first ever experience doing the drive test before arriving I was notified several different times by text and email about my upcoming drive test just confirming I would be there on my set time and day which I really appreciated being a new mom I tend to forget things in correspondence I asked what the model of the vehicle I would be driving in so I could do some research on it and if they had seat belt extenders cuz I'm a larger woman the staff there went out of their way to order seat belt extenders and try them out on their vehicles Unfortunately they didn't work but I still took the chance at keeping my appointment with hopes that the seat belt would fit as I arrived and walked in I was greeted by the receptionist filled out some papers sat down and waited for my instructor I was early but my instructor had time so she came out introduced herself as Megan and then we proceeded to the vehicle as I got in the vehicle I tried the seat belt and it worked perfectly we adjusted everything mirrors seat temperature if you like cold air let Megan know ahead of time because she turned the heat on and I was sweating not just cuz I was nervous she likes cold air too she just doesn't want to freeze somebody. love it! Megan is amazing at explaining the rules of the road instructing communicating and giving positive words of encouragement and also positive and corrected professional constructive criticism. She really wants you to pass the test and does her absolute best to give you all of the tools you need to do so. She also tells you that you can talk and explain to yourself and walk yourself through steps as you are driving and doing a maneuver you may look crazy doing it but it definitely helps. If you're new to driving I surely advise you to pay the extra fee to use their car and pay for the time for practicing. It's well worth it definitely recommend Megan as an instructor her tips on parallel parking and backing around a corner which I had never done before even with the years that I had drove in illegally will forever be ingrained in my head I'm not going to share them because that's why they're so successful there so go and find out after the test was over and I found out I passed I was so excited. This is a genuinely good family-run business. We had been helping an adult friend learn to drive for several months and she was making progress but not quite confident enough to get her license. She wasn't in a position to pay for a full set of professional lessons. One hour in the car with Steve and she tested out just fine. He knew exactly how to instill confidence and teach those things that are hard to master. We found them honest and sincerely interested in helping people become safe and road-ready drivers, not interested in soaking people for money unnecessarily. I took this class through its partnership with Lakeside (my high school). There isn't much to say about the classroom lessons; they were solid and gave me good information. I'd say my most positive experience with this school was with my 6 drives I had to complete. There was one instructor who I felt I learned the absolute most from; Rick. He was a great instructor because he taught me all sorts of tips and tricks. When I had to do a drive, I was always glad to see the ABC car pull up with Rick inside. He had a great sense of humor which made me feel a lot less stressed. Rick's boss, if you're reading this, give him a raise or something, ok? READ BEFORE AND DOING BUSINESS W/THEM They are a licensed business that offer $500 classes. #1 THERE IS No automated systems that check for right or wrong answers on your TEST. It's done manually by the old blonde lady in the office and checked by her one of a kind BLUE SLIP with punctured holes. The tests are RANDOMIZED and will Have questions meant to confuse you with similar sounding answers. This is understandable they want to know if you studied. It's your first time YOU ARRIVE, they check you out, take your phone you feel ready an start flipping threw the test you read a couple questions and the wording on them throws you off. so you ask and see if you can get any clarification on the problem KAREN says: "no you have to try your best but you do have the option to place a mark on the ones that you feel you may have got wrong or do get wrong, we can review wrong answers afterwards just try your hardest" Student: "okay thank you" you mark the questions you felt confused by an try your best You double check your answers by what ever means necessary You turn it in. She checks for any missed questions And you then Ask KAREN Student: "how Does the grading process work here?" Karen: "it's 2 points per question, THEIRS 50 questions you need 80% to pass" Ps I got 74% 3x in a row on separate occasions Student: " But how do you know which test is which when you randomized the tests wouldn't all the answers would be randomized into different orders?" Karen:"yes they are but Our systems tell us which" she smiles in my face and proceeds to pull out her tiny BLUE SLIP AND fillS out my test by matching the punctured circles on it. Student: "SORRY BUT THAT still doesn't answer my question how do you tell the difference between my test AND SOMEONE ELSES TEST and how do you do you know it will match your blue slip"? Karen: "I can't show you our systems just tell us sorry" Student: "interesting. how'd I do" Karen: "sOrRy yOu DiDnT pASs Did yOu rEaD yOuR bOoK?" Because of my fear of driving, I waited to get my license. My friend recommended me this place and I thought why not. I did the 6 driving lessons in total, 1st day with Ann, 2nd day with Steve, 3rd day with Eddy, and 4-6th lesson with Rick. Everyone made me comfortable and gave me helpful tips for the driving test. Over 5 times, I've been rescheduled to times that I can't come in and didn't agree to come in for class, THEN they've called me to ask if the new time is okay. If it's not, I don't get my position on the schedule back; I have to wait two weeks to drive. They won't reschedule a missed class and even though they have potential for a lot of students, they only have 2 instructors. read more

I took the driving skill test here. I took the 1 hour practice driving session first and then the skill test. Steve had a brilliant style of teaching. He would made you practice all the moves you will be asked to make in the driving test. He will tell you things which will be looked at in driving test and made sure that you practice them well enough in the driving lesson. I had some issues of my own doing parallel parking and backing along a curb. The techniques Steve told were very helpful. I wish I could rate this place zero stars. I am an adult looking to take driving lessons and training and I work full time. For some insane reason, this place chooses to give its weekend and evening hours to teenagers who usually turn out to be the cause of accidents and drunk driving. They're already irresponsible and reckless but why don't we give them a car and a license so they can be even more irresponsible and reckless! Look at other schools before you chose this one and waist your time with them. I called them ONCE to see if they would be flexible and not only were they not, TWO people called me back to tell me that they're evenings and weekends are reserved for teenagers! Good luck with that guys! NOT! I hope you'r teenagers fail! Save your money people and go try other driving schools before you pick this one. Came here for my driving test instead of the DMV because they work on Saturdays. The owners were very courteous and nice. The pricing is reasonable and more affordable than the other local places. Bookings can be done online and you don't have to pay until you get there. They offer an one hour review session before the actual test and I was worried that they may try to fail me on purpose so that I would pay for the one hour session (I am paranoid...), but that wasn't the case at all. The examiner was fair and seemed like an experienced, friendly instructor if you actually sign up for the class/session. read more

Most of the other schools were oriented towards large classes of students and were driver factories with not much individualized attention, very structured in course and schedule, not flexible, not especially friendly and surprisingly very expensive. ABC Driving School is a gem; a small friendly family owned business that specializes in individual attention. Meghan and Steven are friendly, helpful and very flexible in working with their students. They have a very good grasp of how to teach a wide range of students from foreign students with little english to teens. They have developed a lot of techniques to individualize lessons so learning becomes easy as new drivers grasp the needed techniques and tricks required to drive in Seattle. Under their instruction, learning to drive was easy and fun. Surprisingly all this individual attention, flexibility and one on one time is less expensive than the larger driving schools, so ABC Driving School is a GREAT value. OK, so I'm 37, never had my license nor have I driven due to a traumatic circumstance in my past. I've been dreading the day I actually have to do it. Just thinking about it gave me panick attacks! I found this place online, and I went in to take the written test. Passed that and signed up for driving courses,....which I was terrified of. Came in for my first course and I met Steve the instructor/ owner. I was so scared and I explained it to him, he was very understanding. He was very calm but direct, Steve is an excellent teacher, I was very impressed! He took me out 3 times, never lost his patience, and explained things very well. After the third course I took the diving test and passed! Steve gave me the confidence and skills set that I needed to feel comfortable on the road,...I'm really happy.
