Mr. Gezahegn was the best drive instructor I've ever had. I had professional lessons in the past,…read moreas well as friends and family attempt to teach me to drive. Was never able to get the hang of it or gain any confidence whatsoever I started taking his class at 26 years old. I was commuting by bus and tired of it. He is the reason I now drive confidently. I can't explain it other than he has the most soothing, even tempered personality and voice. He explains things in simple, yet effective language. Even when you do something wrong, he does not react in a way that makes you feel stupid or make you panic (for my fellow drivers with anxiety). Another great thing about him is that he taught me everything from the ground up as if I was a brand new 15 y/o driver (which I NEEDED.) Throughout my late teens and early 20s, friends/relatives trying to teach me would assume that because of my age, I knew how to do certain things already so those small but important details never came up...the thing is, I didn't know what I was missing. I knew very little about cars, their buttons/controls or any good driving techniques. He taught me everything I know and I am so grateful to have found him. He was proud of me at the end of my course. I passed on the first try. Very special instructor and perfect for less confident drivers who need that gentle, but firm instruction. Thank you so much.

The class isn't worth taking here. Also the thick accent is hard to understand at times.read more

I had this great fear and was easily intimated by the vehicles moving in opposite direction. I started my classes with 911 back in 2014, Ed took my classes and he was a great instructor. I was pregnant at that time and before I could take a test, my baby was already here so It took me 1.5 years to rejoin the school again! I was nervous to start my driving again and started with 10 classes package. Robert (also the owner of 911 redmond) took my third lesson and I wish he had taken all my classes before. All I needed was confidence and from that 1 class I was more than ready to take my test. He said that I do not need any more lessons coz I am good to take the road test. This shows their level of honesty and supportiveness one would expect from their instructors. I took one more class just to analyze myself where I stood and following week took my test and bingo I cleared it! I cannot thank enough Robert for all the confidence he gave me. Inreally think that every student should be given atleast one class with Robert; he is a magician! From all the instructors I got, I really liked Robert, Ed and Rami Lopez. One particular thing that can be improved is the number of different instructors a student gets. I took 4 classes and every time with a new person. It sometimes gets confusing coz every instructor has different style of teaching. It would be really great if you get the same instructor in every class or atleast most of the classes. But bottom line is this school definitely is the best!

These are not the types of people you want any potential driver to be learning from. Seriously, my brother tried getting lessons from them and would come home and have nervous breakdowns. These instructors are idiots and know nothing about safely handling vehicles, and I honestly question who gave them their licenses. 911 Driving School: get your instructors some therapy. That's the real emergency here. These lunatics are on the road and scarring future drivers. I would love to give zero stars.

Good social distancing environment. Located in a clean and neat community, nice building. Far much better than Seattle.

Thanks, 911!!!). The Redmond branch was great, but when it came time to take her driving test, our Redmond site was booked up for days and days. I called this Kirkland branch and the lady I spoke to was super helpful and was able to give my daughter the last available opening (this was in late December 2016, on New Year's eve afternoon). I think it was their last availability in the year, for any of their branches. We rushed there right away! The venue here is small but cute, with antique metal car/driving/gas station signs posted and a large toy police car on display. A man named Denny was assigned to take my kid out for her driver's test. He was terrific. Very thorough and very fair. My kid passed - barely, - and was explicitly told afterwards where she lost points and what she needs to work on. We were explicitly told the next steps in the process (i.e., where we needed to go, what we needed to bring to the DOL, what it would cost, even the best time to visit, etc). Even though we were the last appointment here, late in the afternoon on New Year's eve, and the place was closing up and no one else was there, never once did Denny try to rush us out so he could leave. I was SO impressed by that. It was New Year's eve, and he stayed to help us out! Now that's excellent customer service!

As an adult, I was…read moreone of those people who wouldn't even put their face in the water and now I can confidently hang out in the deep end and even go snorkeling in open water, something I wouldn't have considered a couple years ago. Yes, the classes are more expensive than most courses, but you spend a lot of time in the water with each class and you get individual attention with the small class sizes. Not to mention that being in a class with other students who were as petrified as I was made me feel like I wasn't alone. You also get a nice warm pool so you don't have to worry about staying warm and can just have fun. These courses are for true beginning students. Instead of focusing on strokes, they focus on being comfortable in the water no matter what you are doing. I tried several classes around the area before these and the instructors would dive right into teaching us the strokes and only had 30 minute class times. That's fine if you swam as a child and want a refresher, but didn't work for me as someone who had avoided water all of my life. Orca Swim classes were completely worth the money! I have no regrets and have since taken additional classes here or just gone back to enjoy the warm pool. As a note: This is one of two locations in the area -- the other is in Seattle. I've been to both and would recommend you use whichever one works with your schedule and your commute. I believe they also teach classes at other locations around the Sound, so go to their website for more info.

I felt with a nice website, a private swim school, and higher prices, the facility would match what is offered. I cant believe how unprofessional and how a business is legally operated out of that place. "This is a private indoor pool with many outdoor features like beautiful plants that surround the deck. The pool has both shallow and deep water, it also features a small hot tub. The water temperature in the pool is a consistent 90 degrees. Our classes are exclusive to this pool." Pros: 1) Importantly, the teacher was amazing with kids Cons: 1) The facility/pool looked horrendous. The floors around the pool, the bathrooms were filthy. The random chairs, some dirty , some clean, lack thereof etc... 2) Hot tub? it looked like a hot mess with junk toys and leaves at the bottom of it. 3) Parking situation is a nightmare. Check out the facility before signing up!
