I thought that this was a good legit company but they are con men. My tenant just so happened to try a different key to their door on accident and found out that any key will open the lock. I called them about this issue and they told me they would talk to the manager and call back. Of course they never did, then when I reached out again they said that they would charge me to come out and fix their mistake. How can you charge me when my tenant has been living in a house that could be opened by anyone for several months? Then he finally said that they would come out and fix their mistake "if" they are the ones who did the work and to send him a picture. I knew then that he never intended to take accountability. I sent the picture and never heard back. I called a different locksmith, I won't leave their name here because I don't want you to mistake this review for an ad, and they said that 901 locksmith is known for doing bad work, there are 7 pins inside the lock, but 901 locksmith consistently only uses 2 which makes their job easier to rekey the locks but makes the lock unsafe and easy to enter. They also told me that they would give me a two year warranty, unlike 901 locksmith who wants me to pay them for their mistakes. With this new information I suggest anyone who uses them to check other keys in their locks, it just might be you next with an unsafe house. Anything could've happened to my tenant. read more

Ripoff!! $125 to cut a car key shell. First he tells me $145 to cut key and "transfer data". I tell him there is no data to transfer. All I have to do is unscrew the transponder from old and screw it in the new shell. He says... then it is $125. If they're charging you $20 to remove transponder from old broken key and put it in new shell, you know they're a rip off!! Go to AAA Lock on highland. I have great things to say about the service we received on 6/10/2023. We called to see if they could help replace an ignition after our car had been broken into. The gentleman that came out had the old ignition out and the new one in within 15 minutes of arriving at my house. The price was fair and much less than we were quoted by our mechanic. Didn't get keys made here because they weren't open when they said they were. The hours posted are wrong, and i even called to confirm. The guy said yes the winchester store is open now until 11. I said great I'm on the way. Drove there, Closed. I called and he told me that what he said was they opened at 11. Nope. Not worth arguing. I know what he told me that's why i drove down there, and also checked the hours on website, open at 9am. I called to get my front door unlocked. They gave Mr a price of $95 with re-key for each lock of $25. This was a bait and switch. They said it was $50 more when he did an unlock. The guy on the phone and the technician were speaking Arabic so I could not understand what they were saying. I called another locksmith for $95. Spoke English. read more

Muso is an expert at what he does. And he's a really cool guy. He has worked for other people and learned the ropes. I'm sure he surpassed his mentors and became the best of the best. I don't know anything about keys and locks, but he does. He has the best equipment and he made me some keys for a 2015 transit. It's that special cut key and it requires a special machine. He also made the keys to work the automatic locks. And it cost me half what the dealer charges. He also reworked some locks to my house and made a fresh key from the lock because the key I had was copied so many times over the years and worn out, so copying it again was not an option. He also has lots of safes to choose from. Lots of other gadgets and even some phones. He is also fully mobile in an emergency. He can break into any building or any car without breaking anything. I think he's one of the smartest guys I've ever met and he will be perfect running his own business. I just loved looking around and watching him work. I'm sure he will be very successful. read more

Great experience! We discovered that we locked ourselves out of the house after a full day driving home from South Carolina. At 9pm, we were trying to find a locksmith to get us in, or we'd have to find a hotel for the night. My wife got answering services for several locksmiths that were listed as being 24-hour service - not helpful. Fortunately for us, Omar from 901 Locksmith answered my call, was super-nice, and said he'd get to us in 20 minutes. He texted me a few minutes later and said he was OTW. He got us into the house in under 10 minutes, and ensured that the lock was undamaged and operational. After obtaining Ford automotive keys from an online source I stopped by 901 Locksmith to have the keys cut. The sales person up front called for the technician to come cut the key. Unfortunately, I was informed that he would cut the key for $5, but he would not "guarantee his work." Having been a locksmith in the past, I was taken back by this statement and asked if that meant he would not guarantee the programming, which I was fully aware would not be his responsibility. He stated "If I cut it wrong, I will not guarantee the work because I make no profit on it since you brought the key in." Needless to say, I will not use a professional who will not stand behind their work and left. I went to another locksmith and he cut both keys for $4. They worked just fine, as he said they would, and I programmed the keys using instructions provided by my key vendor. After reading the rave reviews here on 901 Locksmith, I was really surprised by the lack of professionalism, and customer service bordering on the rude side. I can't say enough about these guys. They have helped me more than once. The first time they drove 45 min to my house with a laser key for my car, and was still over $100 cheaper than a local place. My family recently moved to Memphis last year, and became homeowners for the first time. So when I lost my key to the iron door, the only resource we had was Yelp. We have consulted several businesses on Yelp before we ultimately decided to go with this company. We felt that their prices were reasonable, and Musa (the company's representative/contact) seemed very prompt and understanding (trust me...I had a lot of questions). And it was exactly what we expected. They came out the next morning on a short notice and was on time, and finished the job cleanly. There were some miscommunications on the day of the service, however it was quickly resolved afterward with Musa. That is another thing I appreciate because a lot of companies would ignore you after the deal is done, but Musa was still willing to help with any of my inquiries and work it out with me. August 7, 2018 I tried two different times to use this company and both times they screwed up the appointment and didn't show up. I was due a call before my original 11 am appointment and when no one called I called the company. They admitted there was a scheduling mistake and rescheduled me for 5-6 pm the same day.
