I'm not normally someone to leave a bad review but, I'm really disappointed with my recent experience. I had gems placed as part of my nail design, but they began lifting and snagging on everything, and one even fell off just two days after my appointment. When I went back to have them fixed, the tech simply removed the gems instead of properly correcting the design. I originally paid for those details, so leaving without them was frustrating. What upset me most was the technician's attitude. When I asked about fixing the design, she looked visibly annoyed and disgusted that she had to address it at all. As a paying client, that reaction made me very uncomfortable. This used to be my go-to salon, but after this experience, I won't be returning. As a cosmetologist myself, I believe client satisfaction should always come first. If something isn't right, it should be corrected with care and professionalism to ensure the best possible experience. -$120 read more

Eh???? Not the best? And I'm sorry to say that because the two individuals, out of the three who were there that day, and who worked with us were actually very friendly. One issue though was that we set an appointment and I was immediately attended to, whereas my mom just sat there for about 25 minutes, waiting for a tech to become available. It begets the question, why set an appointment, if you're going to have to sit there and wait? For whatever reason, they didn't use any of the scrubbing tools on my mom's heels, so they were still rough when she left. I didn't realize it until after the fact, or else I would've pointed it out while we were there. Lastly, it's less than two weeks and I am attaching pictures of the paint job. It wasn't the best paint job anyway, you could see where they put too much nail polish and it started to fold over on itself. But the chipping, and so early, is atrocious! The last not so great thing was that the five-year-old child of one of the employees was running around the space, cute kid but...she was trying to move our shoes, my mom's purse and her cane, she was constantly talking while she was around us, then she was trying to paint her own nails and was upset she didn't really know how to do it. Then, she finally told us that we had to be quiet because she couldn't concentrate. Her parents finally stepped in at that point and put her in a back room, and then at another counter space across the way, but it's not the most relaxing or private experience, if I could say that, if you can't even talk talk to the person beside you who you came to the services with. It's kind of mid-level price, which is positive, and it's a nice enough space, comfortable and clean, but that's about it. I think we are going to continue to look elsewhere. read more

So FRUSTRATED! My first experience with 9 Nails-Spa in Stewartstown, PA was great. In fact I told several friends how wonderful it was. I was so hopeful that I had found my place. The place I could use over and over agsin. The place where I could neet friends for a girl special time. BUT SADLY THAT WILL NOT BE a place I return to ever! My second visit has turned horrible. First the pedicure was painful and had to tell the technician twice that he was hurting me. ( Not a big deal everyone had there own pressure sensitivity) BUT WORSE...On day one after my gel manicure part of the polish peeled off on one nail. Since it was a small space on one finger I didn't think much about it. On day 4, two more nails began cracking lines and then peeling up on side or tip. Went into the salon to show them what happened and was met with an attitude that some how this was my fault and a line of questions that they should have know from my appointment information booked, confirmed and validated on there computer system. When was your appointment? What did you have done? Who did the service? What did I do? How many days since my service? Etc....... After my interrogation they set an appointment for me to get what I believed would be a free redo of the botched job. (If that had happened I would have been fine. Would have even continued our relationship. Everyone makes mistakes. Being in customer service ALL of working life, I understand. Customer experience not what it should be, do your best to make it right and best case have a fan forever, worst case they feel satisfied and you go your seperate ways.) I arrived at my appointment last night to a new interrogation of the same questions. Told to sit. After a bit of waiting the tech came over and said gel manicure, yes. To which I said : I want my nails redone with gel manicure, free." Tech: "No, not free" We do gel manicure, not free." Me: The work you did was messed up. The gel manicure should last at least 2 weeks, this started peeling in the first week. I want you to redo manicure, free. Tech: When start peeling? Me: In first week Tech: we only cover first 6 days Tech: We fix, no redo, we use same color, what color you get. Me: I don't know, we will have to match it up. TECH HANDS ME STACK OF SAMPLES Tech: What color you get? Tech: we no redo, must use same color to fix. Me: I don't know what color, all but 2 nails are bad. This all stated in the first week. I was told the other day that they would be redone. Tech: pushing stack at me " We fix, you show same color, no redo with different color. You pay gel manicure. At this (out of my character) I stood up and said "If you do bad work, refuse to make it right, question me as if I have have done something wrong and then tell me I have to pay for you to fix it since you don't know what color it is, then I will go somewhere else. If I have to pay for it I will find somewhere else to get it donw right. I am not paying twice for lousy work." To be honest, I never in all my years walked out of a business like this. I am disappointed, frustrated and angry! 1. In the poor workmanship. 2. The lack of standing behind thier work. 3. In the way they interrogated me as if it were my responsibility to know who did my nails (my digital appointment was made with one person. When I showed up I was put with a whole other person no explanation given). Shouldn't all this be in there system. When the appointment was made they took my name & phone number. You select the services you want. Then you digitally check in, using the phone number again and confirm services. 4. The attitude: That some how it was my fault and I was trying to rob them of there gel manicure. 5. I had great hopes for this place after my first visit and loved that it was in my neighborhood. I was looking forward to a long and happy relationship. But now I not only would never go back. But I will tell everyone I know to steer clear. When I went I asked for light blue gel nails they gave me what I asked for but sent me on my way with messed up crusty nails.The vibe was also kind of dark and cold. read more

I asked for a tan to white soft French. I was told we can do it with ombré and when I asked her to correct it mid dip she said NO and proceeded to fight with me telling me that this wasn't pink/coral and refused to fix it. It will not match my dress for the wedding, Not listening will lose you valuable business and if you can't do it then communicate that. Will not be going back. Bathroom was dirty. Young child was left to roam and put her dirty toy from the floor in my face several times. Two stars because my pedicure Was great! read more

I have been going to this wonderful salon for over a year, and I can confidently say they do an absolutely wonderful job everytime. Family owned, and they truly care about their customers and want to make sure you have the most relaxing time that you can. I very much recommend this business, and also getting acrylic gel nails. I work in a business that is hard labor, and I've never had a nail chip or break with this particular gel. My appoint was 10:45 .I had a spa pedicure went great done in a timely manner . I showed them my design. I told them it was for a special anniversary dinner .I was to have a design on my two ring fingers and two big toes . They told me to go sit at the pedicure station and she would be over to put the design on . I sat there over 50 minutes , was there a total of 3 hours . The woman who was to do my designs came over painted the woman next to me toes . I thought ok I am finally getting done but she walked away and went back to her station. And proceeded. To do someone else at her station .I sat there over 50 minutes more no one came . I finally walked up to the desk and said I could not wait any longer. The man at the desk said to the other man I was not able to wait any longer . I just wanted the two nails that were white waiting on the design to be painted purple like the rest . The man started to put a top coat on it ,I said no paint it purple like the rest then he went to put glitter on it , again I said purple he said something in Vietnamese to the girl then finally came back with the purple polish . The woman there said to me (get this ) if you come back I will paint a design for you . Why in the would would I come back to a place that when I was there did not do my nails .I will not darken there door again . No apology ,nothing taken off the bill.
