My ONLY negative comment is that the music at the bar was SO loud you could hardly talk to the person sitting next to you. We love music - but that was a little bit much. Note, this area is for VIP concert tickets only once the music starts (which we didn't have) so we went downstairs about 7:30PM. The downstairs bar area was huge and the bartenders did a great job of making sure everyone was served in a timely manner - despite the huge crowd. The bathrooms were clean, which is always a PLUS at a bar! Looking forward to going back for our next concert in August!

I came once before for a show and I had a great time! But…read morerecently I had a bad experience that left me feeling dark and empty, like the cycle of the moon was causing everyone around me to radiate negative and hateful energy. The interaction forced me to go home and watch Mr. Bean's holiday to remind me that there is good in the world. I came in at 1:15 which is late but the door was open and there was a DJ in the back playing music and like 7 people at the bar. The bartender was chatting with two people at the bar so I walked up. And the bartender gave me the dirtiest look that made me question if I had known him as a child and did something wrong to him because he looked at me like I was his number one enemy. Then he said "yeahhh we're like ..... getting ready to be done....." and I said "okay is there time for one drink? Or did you already do last call" Then he just kept looking off and said yeah no. We're done. And I said okay! No problem. I was curious what was happening in the back like if it was a DJ or karaoke or what because I hadn't seen the set up before and like I said I like this place for shows. I was just genuinely curious and I was preparing to leave no matter what but like F SAKE can a girl not ask a bartender a question about the establishment??? Again he looked at me like we had ancestral beef, like he had been hating me and my families bloodline for years. And he just kind of ignored me. And said something like "you can't just go back there and hangout" and I said "I know, I was just asking. I thought it might have been karaoke or open mic I didn't know you guys did that here" Then he ignored me. Like I was not trying to hangout and get a drink after he already told me no I was just curious because if there was karaoke I'd like to come back for it!!!! Then the woman he was talking to at the bar turned to me and said "have you ever been to Royal blue? You could go there" And idk how to explain but it was in the most condescending way ever, like you don't belong here or like she was talking to me like I was 5 years old?? Anyway I said okay thanks, I was just curious have a good night. And I left. And I left feeling the anxiety and humiliation in my tummy like I had just been bullied out of the cool kids lunch table. So. Sorry for bothering that bartender by asking 2 questions about the bar that he works at and sorry for whatever crime I apparently committed against you in our first cycles of life that made you absolutely HATE MY GUYS even though I was literally wearing my "please be kind to me" shirt. It's super super divey and oddly really long. You can tell it's a good music scene and dance space because there was a DJ and he was trying out a lot of different things so we had the dance for all to ourselves. We also found some random Halloween decoration that we ended up dancing with. I guess there's food here because Yelp is offering it to me as an option to review, but I have never eaten here. The drinks are all well and you should not expect a drink anything faster than a beer or a well drink. I really liked how empty it was and the music was really made for us. I had a great time and I would definitely stop by again. It also feels like one of those places that's a fever dream.

It is an older crowd and everyone is respectful. No drama or negative energy. I would say 40 and up. Good luck with street parking (garages are near by if you don't mind a short walk). Small place, but it was not overly crowded. Several tvs and a good amount of seats. I will return. One negative thing... lack of A/C. I found a small area that has a good blower, but could only get to it after some people left... I also had my own handheld fan. Still hot...

When you're a traveling concertgoer, you make plans to check out some good bands in a new music…read morevenue. And my time in Baltimore led to me experiencing a better than good Ticket Master (I've covered a lot about how I feel about Ticket Bastard as a whole) that I'm surprised to see so few reviews for on here! I got my ticket for Spoon and The Beths through a good deal on StubHub, and I didn't get drinks at the venue. While I was also curious about the whole Powerplant Live facility that the venue was a part of, I decided to check out the Ministry of Brewing (review coming later) before the show instead of experiencing anything else inside of it. So my review is based on what I did experience, which was a lot of good. From the staff who helped me enter, to seeing staff pass out water to people who needed it, and a free water cooler being available at the bar, it showed that the staff went the extra mile. While I would have liked the Nevermore to have a bit more Edgar Allen Poe theming about it, I did like the Poe-inspired art that I did see. For a Philly comparison, I'd compare Nevermore Hall to The Fillmore and Brooklyn Bowl for being a good-sized general admission venue that had plenty of good spaces to move around in without having an obstructed view of the stage. The sound was also very impressive, which definitely added to the great experience. With upcoming shows like Chance the Rapper, Phantogram, and Castle Rat, there's a lot of good reasons to check this place out!

Somehow when they took over the venue, they made it significantly worse. You enter the venue stage…read moreright and there is no room to find a spot so everyone is squished trying to even enter the venue. The stairs to the balcony are there so I don't know why they made entry so cramped on purpose. It's always been a poorly shaped venue and this move by them made it worse. It seems like this was done to add a lounge area which doesn't really work. Sold out shows are clearly oversold to the point people are uncomfortable. The stage is too short for the venue size so more than half the crowd can barely see. It feels like the show is oversold so people will pay another $20 for "premium balcony seating". On top of the Ticketmaster fees, that is a ridiculous extra cost when many regular tix there are only around $40. Probably the worst music venue in baltimore but when you're associated with live nation, it's not a surprise. It solely exists to maximize profit.

There are no fancy drinks here, but you are in the heart of art Mecca of Baltimore, Station North right across from the Charles Theatre. It is a very special place. There's an interior red hue that just glows over the entire bar and there's a really cool seat which is a nook and you're basically kind of secluded from the rest of the group. I always come here pretty late at night and one time I trjed to come and and they were closed for a vacation, this is a quintessential cigarette smoking (not inside) bar. Like I said, there's nothing really special in terms of the drinks. They have all of your classic dive bar favorites. The last time I was here I took a shot of Fernette, but the team here is hipster friendly so sometimes good service other times fine. Iconic Baltimore Bar. They also have fun things on the TVs.

I know my friends put in song requests to sing, but I think the wait was too long. Walt's Inn truly embodies the meaning of a dive bar and is such a staple in Baltimore. The drinks are great and I love how they are served in red solo cups. Really shows the character and vibe of the bar! The bartenders were very nice and the prices can't be beat. I can't wait to go here more in the future!
