Specifically the staff that help you in the back to get into your chamber and check your vitals before and after. I did notice quite the difference in healing when I had my sessions here. There is a lot of science behind how this impacts the body and said condition or trauma to the body. Dr. Alex is fabulous in their knowledge. So glad I was able to connect with them before booking my package. Quite a drive from San Francisco but totally worth it.

I started with extreme brain fog and headaches that resulted from long Covid but felt exactly like I did when I had my last major concussion a few years ago from a freak accident where it body flung out of a car. I learned about HBOT from and book about concussions so I found holistic hyperbarics which wasn't the closest HBOT facility to me but I like that when I called, they were a lot nicer on the phone then the place that was closer to me. All the staff that I have met there, like Derek, Shelby, Sam, Pedro, Keyshawn and Jordan have been very nice and made me feel very safe. I like that the spa feels clean enough on the inside of the chambers and I don't have to worry because all of the staff are EMTs so they can take care of you if they need to and everybody is well educated about the process which I love. I really like the fact that there are windows that help with the claustrophobia, and you could peek outside of the windows if you feel scared. Also, the EMTs keep checking on you to make sure that you feel safe and aren't freaking down. They all do such a great job that they are what makes this place great. After 60 sessions, my headaches have lessened but they are still present. I read other reviews where people had bruises that healed faster, but I had bruises that I would notice on day one during the week, and the bruises would fade but still took a week to fade as they normally would do without 5 HBOT sessions in between. Also, some lucky people had old scars fade. I had zero old scars fade because I took before and after photos to compare for myself and the after looks like the before. Don't forget having a healthy diet while going through this therapy. I gave up caffeine, alcohol and unhealthy foods for months. I also incorporated a few juice cleanses throughout my healing journey. I'm glad that I don't have the headaches that I initially came in with, but people with my condition also said with normal time they fade. One day, I hobbled in with Achilles' tendinitis from not stretching enough am just running everyday. Hoping that HBOT would help alleviate the new pain because I read a medical journal article about it helping. I had daily sessions that week, and my tendinitis did not go away so I had to go to my minor injury doctor to get a walking boot and stretches. I think it was because I wasn't driving deep enough and my body just needs more pressure. I called Christine and left a voicemail about not having enough pressure. She called me back the next day but I missed her call and she left a voicemail saying that they don't do that. Still thinking that I wasn't diving deep enough, I was at 2.0 ATA by the time that I left, and that was the pressure when I started to actually feel that it was working. The only reason why I was at 2.0 ATA was because I kept asking the technicians to give me a deeper dive . My regular physician told me that she didn't know enough about HBOT to recommend to me. Holistic Hyperbarics has an on-site physician who just was never there whenever I was so they never saw me but they wrote me a prescription to use the HBOT chambers. I'm kind of a clean freak, so when you take off your shoes to step into the chamber, you step onto a floor mat with your socks, but that same floor mat is stepped on by lots of shoes. You can tell because your socks would get dirty from the contact. Insurance didn't pay for this so my experience is all out of pocket. It wasn't the miracle that I was hoping for but at least I tried a different methodology on my healing journey.

I wondered why Pro Athletes and non Pro like Michael Jackson and Lance Armstrong were using HBOT to recover from injury and fatigue. I asked my GP to provide a 5-session trial protocol with HR of M to see if I could see any improvement. After 3 treatments, I began to feel my extremities, my mind clearing and a positive outlook on my long-term situation. I realized that HR of M is not a hospital facility (much less expensive though) but is run as if as it was one with all the safety procedures and best equipment (watch out for the unlicensed and then the fake "bag" providers without pressure!). It is important to know that they use 100% pure oxygen, while others use "compressed" oxygen with possible contaminants. The staff is outstanding! They even have their own Medical staff to professionally manage your progress (most Physicians are unfamiliar with HBOT, so they don't recommend it or know how to follow-up). They actually train nurses to help physicians understand the wound healing properties of HBOT. Their care, instruction and follow-up assured me that I was receiving the best care possible. They put me through a patented procedure called "Cutting Edge?" that recorded irregular brain eye focus and they could track improvement for my GP, Specialists and myself. Insurance pays for many disease states, others may be paid if you can track improvement with "Cutting Edge?" or other proof sources. If your life is worth it, pay out of pocket, if you have to. They have a plan for those that can't afford it (especially children) called H.O.P.E. for Healing Foundation. They treat brain injury/accident victims and other disease states based on ability to pay (treated over 1,000). This is a great place to be treated!

What truly sets them apart: * Expert care & intuition. Grace and her team aren't guess‑workers. They listen, assess, and immediately begin to identify root causes--imbalances, tight muscles, misalignments--that others would simply overlook. * Wide-ranging, high‑quality modalities. Whether it's sports massage, compression therapy, cryotherapy, stretch therapy, or even more specialized treatments--BodyFIX brings it. These are services you usually only see in elite athlete care, and yet they deliver them for all of us. * Intensity + relief balance. They push when needed--the massages are deep, targeted, sometimes intense. But every bit of intensity is mixed with care. They don't just "rub" you--they heal. Afterwards, the relief is real. * Kind, professional, welcoming staff. One of the best parts is how the team makes you feel seen. Every interaction--before, during, after--is about you: your discomforts, your progress, your goals. They encourage, explain, and genuinely care. Also the girlies are so funny & easy going! If you're looking for more than a spa day--if you want someone who'll fix what's hurting, help you move better, and show you how to keep from hurting again--BodyFIX USA is absolutely worth it.

I can't speak to the sleep clinic but I can say, yes, I did wait longer than I would normally like too. However, I understand the reason behind the long wait too. Namely that Dr. Bigelow spends as much time as she can with her clients and really tries to understand them and get to know them. She is a specialist after all. I found her and staff to be respectful, kind and helpful. I saw Dr. Bigelow as a Scuba Diver needing specific attention to previous medical conditions and I think she really took her time to understand me, my medical history and help me continue to dive. I'd recommend her and I'd recommend others look a little closer to the reviews and parse though them for a better understanding.

For starters, getting anyone on the phone was nearly impossible. Voicemails were never returned and emails required multiple attempts before receiving any response. When we had no other option but to show up in person, the experience was far from welcoming. Throughout my father's entire time as her patient, Dr. Bigelow never once saw him in person. Not once. For a patient with a serious pulmonary condition, that level of detachment is alarming. To make matters worse, she joined a scheduled Zoom appointment over an hour late with zero acknowledgment. My father's health is not something we take lightly. We have since moved on to a new pulmonologist who actually communicates, shows up, and treats his patients like they matter. Everything the negative reviews said about this practice was unfortunately true. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

This review in no way reflects on Dr. Hoddinott's medical skills…read more My story: I had a sore throat and went to Yelp to see if people had good experience with local physicians. As Dr. Hoddinott had good reviews, I gave her office a call telling them that both my wife and I (40ish,very healthy, great insurance) are looking for a new doctor. I was told by the receptionist (this was 16 days ago) that the doctor would review our request and I would hear back from them the next day. I didn't. So I call back and another person tells me that "it can take several days for the doctor to make a determination about a new patient. She has lots of things on her desk". At this point I already have a bad feeling about the doctor and her staff if it takes them several days to get back to a new patient. But I thought I would perhaps get a call after a week. Nope.. Two Weeks? Uh-uh. It's not two weeks plus and no call-back. The doctor might be wonderful with patients. Unfortunately, for me the process of getting in to see her was a major turnoff. Doctor Hoddinott, work with your staff on a much better process for people who WANT to give you business. I am still looking for that elusive general physician!

I went to her again for a physical recently, and was extremely impressed with her. She has a wonderful bedside manner -- she's very warm, friendly, thoughtful, and engaging. She remembered things from our last appointment, asked relevant questions, and seemed to really care. I never got the sense that she was rushing or harried (I used to experience that at Kaiser all the time!). She really goes above and beyond how most doctors treat their patients.
