We had the family member meet Dr Antone and he again explained the issue with the brain, how their brain was misfiring, and treatments needed to solve the depression and other symptoms. He told this family member he could help him and he was going to be fine. Then he immediately took the family member inside for their first treatment. That was a couple months ago and the rest is history. Our family member has gone from being severely depressed and uncommunicative to fairly happy and communicative with all family members. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and they checked in with me throughout the visit. This was my first time ever doing cryotherapy, and they did a great job walking me through everything step by step. Before going in, they went over a safety checklist, reminded me to remove anything metal, and recommended taking slow, controlled breaths once inside, which really helped. They also provide a private changing room to get ready for cryo, which made the experience much more comfortable--especially as a first-timer. The cryotherapy itself was definitely intense--way colder than anything I've experienced before. They prep you really well with gloves, socks, a mask, a beanie, and a wraparound towel. You also get to choose your music, which was such a nice touch. They mentioned some people dance or stomp around during their session. After all of this she still said "yeah allergies are tough" in a condescending manner before leaving. Thankfully the doctor listened to me and gave me proper treatment, including antibiotics and a referral to an ENT. I don't understand why people like the nurse go into healthcare, they don't listen to their patients and think they know better meanwhile I had (and still have) chronic sinusitis so bad that I have now been through 4 rounds of antibiotics and might need surgery. I'm glad she's not a doctor because I would feel sorry for her patients. I would give the doctor 5 stars as he was knowledgeable and helped me on the path to recovery. Nurse has no business in healthcare and I hope this urgent care realizes that eventually.
