She started out just doing hip hop, but now she takes ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theater and aerial arts. She has made close, life-long friendships and has an incredible mentor in the owner, Cassandra Daurden whom I admire greatly. The performances are professional and spectacular to watch. The way the instructor approached her was aggressive and my 6 year old mentally blocked her out and walked out. I was still very determined to find a place that teaches our traditional Armenian dances and other dances as well. When I found out about iDance I took my daughter and she instantly fell in love with Ms. Lisa's warm approach and she has been going to iDance since it opened its doors. Ms. Lisa and Ms. A have done an amazing job by creating an atmosphere where the girls have fun and at the same time learn traditional, hip hop, and jazz dances. Both instructors have mastered on how to approach the girls and make them feel comfortable, loved, and excited when it's time to practice their choreography. There aren't enough words to explain just how happy I am. Ms. Lisa made my dream come true in seeing my little girl perform as a dancer. If you're looking for a professional well structured school, I'm not sure this is the place for that. If you're looking for a place for your child to be creative and socialize, I think this is the place for you. Parking would be on the street/meters. The weekends are a bit difficult to find parking with multiple churches and lots of restaurants around the school. There are tv monitors so you can watch your child while they're in class. There are lots of places to sit inside and outside while you wait for your child. Class sizes are fairly small. The cost is typical of LA prices. We take classes in another city as well and the cost is $40 less/month, however, class sizes in affordable studios also have triple the amount of students.
