This dude is as awesome as they come, so full of energy and he makes you bring out your best whether you want to or not. The core philosophy is you can be at ANY level of dance and come out of your first class with a smile, a good sweat, and a little pep in your step. After being absent for almost a year due to a knee injury, I returned to Adam's class 4 weeks ago. Through zero fault of Adam, I was so excited and pushed myself that I went home after class exhausted and seeing floaters shaped like lightning bolts!!! Amazing! Bottom line: you will have a good time, enjoy the live DJ (Justyle is my favorite, look him up), and be glad you came!

Sure it's 25 minutes down a one way street, but man, if that turned into two lanes in a blue moon, I'd be 15 minutes away from a great Thursday night dance class. I am beyond thankful to have a class closer to home, since this has added and aided in my fitness goals and allowed me to live my almost secret dancing dreams. While I am a Zumba instructor, moving from your safe zone of repeating dance steps, to a full on dance class is beyond intimidating (especially since I do think I spaz-out more than dance most of the times). Luckily, Adam is a patient, energetic, funny and kind instructor. He is a great dancer, and wonderful at breaking down the steps intuitively that makes it very easy to follow. Did I mention that he's quite encouraging as well? I credit this class and the Groov3ment for helping me become a more agile person. Dancing in these classes have helped me lean up, intensify my own Zumba classes, and challenged me t use my new found understanding of how my body moves, to other interests. I'm more confident when I dance and teach in my classes, and have found it much easier to practice my guitar playing. What else could one ask for? A great mix form a live DJ, sweet moves, awesome environment, great energy from other participants and of course, a totally great instructor, it's all here.

Our daughter absolutely thrives here and has discovered a passion for dance and theater. She started out just doing hip hop, but now she takes ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theater and aerial arts. She has made close, life-long friendships and has an incredible mentor in the owner, Cassandra Daurden whom I admire greatly. The performances are professional and spectacular to watch. I can't even believe the aerial skills and singing voices that come from these kiddos! They are not your everyday kids dance recitals, they are stunning top-notch performances. This is an incredible gem and we are filled with gratitude for this amazing DPAC community.

In fact, her curriculum is a twelve-year program that includes elements of Russian & English ballet traditions with a focus on the George Balanchine technique and style. My friend's daughter is enrolled here, and she loves these classes. They've also helped with her self-esteem. I came with my friend to drop her daughter off for class. We watched the session from the window for a bit before wandering around the area. I used to take tap dance lessons when I was a kid. I wish I had continued them. If you are looking for a reputable dance studio, give this place a try. They also offer summer sessions.

YOUR SEARCH FOR A BALLET SCHOOL IS OVER. WELCOME TO BLISS. YOU HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED…read more We have searched far and wide for a ballet school and have come to the conclusion that Natalie and Ballet Conservatory West possesses the rare qualities that so many other ballet schools lack. Natalie takes the time to lay a solid foundation with proper technique and movement. Individual attention is given to each student with a focus on their unique body type, strength, and abilities. Natalie's knowledge about dance, anatomy, movement, musculature and other related areas are impressive. She leverages all of these to ensure that dancers are in proper alignment so they don't hurt themselves. She offers tenderness and grace in her instruction and builds rapport with each ballerina. She provides equitable treatment of each student, regardless of whether or not they aspire to be a professional ballerina. And personally speaking, one of the things I love most about Natalie is her personal charm and inner beauty. The tender, loving way that she engages and connects with children makes me melt. Secretly, I love sitting outside of their open-door classes, closing my eyes, and just listening...

We recently came back and tried various classes from broadway - music. All of our teachers have been very nice. If you're looking for a professional well structured school, I'm not sure this is the place for that. If you're looking for a place for your child to be creative and socialize, I think this is the place for you. Parking would be on the street/meters. The weekends are a bit difficult to find parking with multiple churches and lots of restaurants around the school. There are tv monitors so you can watch your child while they're in class. There are lots of places to sit inside and outside while you wait for your child. Class sizes are fairly small. The cost is typical of LA prices. We take classes in another city as well and the cost is $40 less/month, however, class sizes in affordable studios also have triple the amount of students.
