Recently a sprinkler pipe burst in my garage that shares a wall with our living room causing water…read moreto severely damage drywall, paint, and flooring in our living room. On a word or mouth recommendation I contact Matt from WhiteHouse Builders and I cannot explain enough how glad I made that call. Within hours of contacting and speaking with Matt directly he showed up with his project manager Tyler and group of guys to quickly assist. He immediately began to take pictures of the damage, take measurements and reading on dry wall saturation, and then quickly got to work and cut out the saturated drywall pieces to mitigate potential greater damage and prevent mold. Matt then explained the entire process of working directly with our insurance company to ensure that restoration caused by the water damage would be taken care of promptly, professionally, and to the highest standards. Matt and his crew were literally with me every step of the way and made it so easy to not have to deal with an adjuster and/or numerous companies and vendors to complete the damage mitigating and restoration. Matt and his team were the only call I had to make; he and his full team were able to address every aspect of getting my home back whole again. The day the adjuster came to our home Matt and Tyler were there to meet and provided the insurance adjuster a detailed assessment and estimate to remove all damaged, and to complete the entire project which included re-painting all downstairs walls to match with new paint, and the removal and installation of new flooring downstairs. Honestly, the Insurance adjuster was impressed and no doubt as a customer it was extremely valuable to have Matt and Tyler there to advocate for us as the homeowner in making sure that corners were not cut and the insurance company was not just going to cover the minimum. When the restoration began the crew was professional, punctual, and workmanship was beyond my expectation; have to see before and after pictures to appreciate the awesome work. My home no doubt was a small project for WhiteHouse Builders, however, I appreciate the attention they gave to my wife and I, which was beyond my expectations. It seems like every day Tyler and/or Matt were checking in on us and giving us updates as the project progressed. Even after the project was complete a cleaning person was sent in to tidy up the dust. Finally sent a text 8/14 stating "should I expect to see a quote or proceed with another contractor?" Get a text today 8/16, that says "we're booked on a lot of other jobs that are taking all of my attention. At this point it's probably best to go with another company." To say we're pissed is an understatement. As if a kitchen remodel (replacing cabinets not refacing) isn't already a time sucking process there are contractors like Tim/SCV Construction & Remodel that waste peoples time and don't have consideration for others. They may do good work but their communication stinks to the max and I will stear everyone I can away from them and to companies that value client experience regardless of the job dollar amount.

We hired this team for a major structural renovation--adding a loft in our high-ceiling living…read moreroom, building a wet bar underneath it, and replacing our kitchen's back door and window with a beautiful bifold door. (Note: The furniture bar cabinets and library were added later on and were not part of this contractor's project). From start to finish, the entire team was extremely professional, dedicated, and highly skilled. On the very first day we met, Nir helped design a 3D view of the project that perfectly captured exactly what we had envisioned. Throughout the build, we had a weekly walkthrough with Nir to check if we had any questions or concerns, which kept communication incredibly clear. Elba was also an excellent project coordinator who was always available to answer our questions and keep everything on track daily. The construction crew themselves were clearly very experienced and knowledgeable; they followed our approved plans meticulously and were happy to accommodate extra requests along the way. You can truly gauge the quality of their work by the fact that every single city inspector visit passed on the first try--nothing ever had to be rescheduled or redone because everything was built perfectly to plan. Additionally, all of the finishes--from the drywalling to the trim work and paint--were done with high-quality materials and top-tier craftsmanship. I was first referred to Preferred Builders by my tax preparer, Happily, my first repair/remodel turned out wonderfully so I immediately started a remodel on my own home. Scope of work: remove all the carpeting in the house and install laminate plank flooring in those areas. The travertine flooring in the entry, kitchen and hallway had large craters which collected dirt and water residue after washing. I had the floor steamed, the craters filled and the whole floor resealed. I had a gasline installed in the kitchen and a new gas oven installed. I also had a complete bathroom remodel which included removing a huge jacuzzi tub and installing an elegant and safe walk in shower. For the bathroom Nir listened to my concerns and needs and then gave me two 3-D renderings of my options. Elba was fabulous and fast with permits, a purchase list and provided weekly job schedules and updates. I have now completed this remodel and I can't be happier. My Preferred Builders team was pure gold! I highly recommend Nir, Elba and Orel, the Foreman. Orel was caring and his experience was invaluable, Roman, (drywall, moldings, paint, flooring) Carlo (beautiful tile work) and Abnir were all professional, caring and kind.
