Recently a sprinkler pipe burst in my garage that shares a wall with our living room causing water to severely damage drywall, paint, and flooring in our living room. On a word or mouth recommendation I contact Matt from WhiteHouse Builders and I cannot explain enough how glad I made that call. Within hours of contacting and speaking with Matt directly he showed up with his project manager Tyler and group of guys to quickly assist. He immediately began to take pictures of the damage, take measurements and reading on dry wall saturation, and then quickly got to work and cut out the saturated drywall pieces to mitigate potential greater damage and prevent mold. Matt then explained the entire process of working directly with our insurance company to ensure that restoration caused by the water damage would be taken care of promptly, professionally, and to the highest standards. Matt and his crew were literally with me every step of the way and made it so easy to not have to deal with an adjuster and/or numerous companies and vendors to complete the damage mitigating and restoration. Matt and his team were the only call I had to make; he and his full team were able to address every aspect of getting my home back whole again. The day the adjuster came to our home Matt and Tyler were there to meet and provided the insurance adjuster a detailed assessment and estimate to remove all damaged, and to complete the entire project which included re-painting all downstairs walls to match with new paint, and the removal and installation of new flooring downstairs. Honestly, the Insurance adjuster was impressed and no doubt as a customer it was extremely valuable to have Matt and Tyler there to advocate for us as the homeowner in making sure that corners were not cut and the insurance company was not just going to cover the minimum. When the restoration began the crew was professional, punctual, and workmanship was beyond my expectation; have to see before and after pictures to appreciate the awesome work. My home no doubt was a small project for WhiteHouse Builders, however, I appreciate the attention they gave to my wife and I, which was beyond my expectations. It seems like every day Tyler and/or Matt were checking in on us and giving us updates as the project progressed. Even after the project was complete a cleaning person was sent in to tidy up the dust. Even when all work was complete Matt called us to make sure we were happy with every aspect of the work that had been completed. With a single call to Matt and WhiteHouse Builders they made a very stressful ordeal seamless and painless. For my project WhiteHouse Builders handled everything in house with trusted professionals. This included a water mitigation crew, demolition crew, painters, plumbers, and floor installers with flooring that was taken care of and chosen through WhiteHouse Builders in house flooring company. My house had fire damage right before the pandemic and because of that the process took longer than everyone expected. Whitehouse Builders were the best throughout the process. The house was built in 1910 so I really needed someone with experience and knowledge w old homes. Matthew is the best contractor I have ever had the privilege of working with. I originally found his company, WhiteHouse Builders, through Yelp. He painted several rooms in our house two years ago and did an amazing job. So this year, we were ready for a major remodel of our bathrooms, floors, and paint and we turned again to WhiteHouse. Matt's professionalism is unparalleled. I was contacted by him everyday, either in person, by phone or by text throughout the project. Every person that came to our house was courteous, clean, professional and trustworthy. Our house is 21 years old, and yet Matt's work made it look like it was just built! I would say that I intend to use him again, except that the house is perfect and there is no need to use him again! I would recommend him to EVERYONE--whether the job is big or small. In May I replaced my carpet to laminate flooring in my 1440 sqft. condo (every last inch of it, pretty much) and was referred to WhiteHouse Builders by a friend of mine. Needless to say the owner, Matt, is very knowledgable and experienced in what he is doing and does it with passion and pride. What really stood out to me was that he, as owner, came by more than enough to check up on the quality of work and service. The pipe broke, and the flood came. Next came the insurance company, water clean up company, 15 fans and 4 dehumidifiers...running 24 hours a day. Then came Matthew White and Whitehouse Builders. Like most friends I spoke with, I was concerned about getting a contractor that would be honest, and timely. Matthew is that, and much more. First, Matthew arrived on time for our first meeting. He explained how both contractors work, and how insurance companies work. He helped me navigate temporary housing for my family. He was patient as we worked through finishes and designs. We were concerned, since we just purchased the house - and moved all our furnishings, that our home would be respected, and loved as we love it. Matthew assured that he and his team would treat our home as if it was theirs. We had one instance where a sub contractor left a mess. Matthew was immediatly responsive, and addressed the issue within hours. His standard - no smoking, drinking, and treat the home with respect - are not just words to Matthew. We also had concerns about costs, and Matthew worked with us to deliver what we wanted, on time and at budget. His advice and support on finishes was really helpful. The key is the quality of work. The finished product. The professionalism of Matthew and all his subcontractors. Matthew does not tell you what he thinks you want to hear, he tells the truth. I recently purchased my first home as a rental property and used WhiteHouse Builders to do all of the needed repairs. I didn't plan to use them for all of the work that I ended up having done, but after each job was finished and I was able to see their quality of work I would have been foolish to try on my own or use anyone else for the remaining repairs. These guys are very good at what they do. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing any type of construction work done big or small. Not only did my house look amazing when it was finished, they had it completed and ready for me to rent a lot sooner than I thought it could be done. I was also very impressed by the fact that the owner (Matthew) came by multiple times throughout the various projects and made sure everything was coming along smoothly, and most importantly that I was happy with the work. Matt was amazing. We had a major leak in the house. I called WhiteHouse Builders and right away Matt walked me thru the whole process and what to expect from the insurance company. After drying all the walls and floors, Matt took care of all the negotiations with the insurance adjuster and was able to get them to approve all the repairs. Matt and his guys took care of all the repairs while we were out of town. We came back home and everything was back to normal. I'm so glad that I was referred to Matt.
