Fish sauce was not salty or overly sweet-just right. As for the Pho - I did not like it too much. It was served hot which is preferred but it cooled down too fast! Broth has an only a mild taste of the rich bone broth. I still have not found a place that has that thick heavy taste of bone marrow broth yet. I would recommend getting a "large" instead of small because small didn't have much broth in it due to small size. Never eat here before but now I know. They didn't have "ngo gai" so that was a no for me or green lime for Pho. The inside seemed clean and organized. Staff was cordial. I arrived before lunch so it was not as crowded. No umami taste for 2of the 3 bowls. Not enough fish sauce in the marinade? My dipping fish sauce was sour. The portion of egg rolls and shrimps were very small for my vermicelli bowl. My siblings had grilled meat. The cut was too thick and overcooked so it was hard to bite into. Not at all tender; should cut the meat thinner and marinade longer. Not really Vietnamese cuisine but imitation without proper cut and marinade. We needed to eat so it filled out stomachs, but good quality does not meet expectation of Vietnamese food. The pho itself was pretty good, especially the broth. It was flavorful and comforting, perfect for a cold night. I ordered the brisket pho, and while the noodles and broth were solid, the brisket was honestly disappointing. There was a lot of fat on it, to the point where it took away from the whole dish and made it less appetizing once I noticed it. If I were to come back, I would probably just get the pho with noodles and broth, or skip the meat altogether. That said, the spring rolls were a highlight. We tried the chicken spring rolls and they were super delicious. They were definitely my favorite part of the meal. The restaurant was very busy when we went, which makes sense since it was a cold night and everyone probably wanted hot soup. Because of that, service was a bit slow and we had to wait a little for a table, but it was manageable. I did like that you pay at the counter when you are done, so you do not have to wait around for the check. Overall, the food was decent, but the fatty brisket really ruined the pho for me. This was a very unpleasant experience. While eating pho, I found a large bug in my soup. What made it worse was that my friend later found a bug in their soup too! We immediately stopped eating. Situations like this make customers question sanitation and kitchen practices. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and improves their cleanliness standards. Also they did not apologize for it and I just told them to simply take it off my bill and when my friend told them about her discovery when we went up to pay only because after she noticed hers towards the end she didn't say to take it off the bill because she knew she had eaten a good portion of it the server became very hostile and said " why she didn't say something the moment she found it" my friend was more than willing to pay for hers she was just making them aware that she had also found a bug on hers and was letting them know to be more aware. read more

NOT GONNA LIE...when we entered this pho restaurant for the first time and saw an all Latino staff instead of an Asian staff at a Vietnamese pho restaurant, we were very unsure about this place. However after having their spring rolls and combo pho I can honestly say that this place definitely is a Top 5 in pho places that we have ever been to! The pho was delicious and the spring rolls tasted freshly made to order. It was quite a surprise. Service was friendly and the choices of dishes were a lot. They even had Mexican dishes in there! Stopped by for lunch during a weekday around 1:15pm and the place was empty except for one couple. Parking is pretty limited in this small shopping center. We were greeted and told to sit wherever we liked. Ordered some spring rolls to share and we both ordered the chicken pho and 2 tai teas. All the food came out pretty quickly and overall food was decent I definitely have had better pho but this place was good and satisfied the pho craving.The owner who was working the register and took our order pointed to a plaque that said they had won best pho in OC? on some particular year. My neighbor friend and I stopped here today to get our phở fix on after going to an Orange County Fire Authority Station 75 Open House and Patches & Pins Expo Halloween Food Festival. My friend ordered a small "05. Rice Noodle Soup With Chicken Breast", and I ordered a large "14. Rice Noodle Soup Combo With Rare Beef, Brisket, Flank and Tendon". We were provided adequate amounts of toppings consisting of cilantro, bean sprouts, Thai basil, slices of Jalapeño pepper and lime wedges. My soup was authentic, hearty and flavorful, and I ate almost the whole thing. Plenty of meat was provided, and they were succulent, juicy and delicious. The right portion of noodles was also given, and they tasted wonderful. Our female server who is the owner was friendly and courteous. The restaurant was spacious enough for people to have a comfortable dining experience. My friend and I enjoyed our lunch from beginning to end. Overall it was ok Pho, I have my regular place that I usually go to but wanted to try a different spot. So first thing I noticed was all the cilantro they put in it and once I started to eat it there were so many cilantro stems! It was just such an overpowering taste of cilantro. So if you come here make sure to ask for light cilantro unless you REALLY like it. The flavor of the broth wasn't very savory and rich like how I'm used to. When we arrived, you could tell they weren't at all ready to be serving customers. We got there a few mins after they said they were open. Huge lack of customer service here. The lady just handed us the menus without a "welcome" or a smile. As a matter of fact, the entire time we were there, she wasn't very welcoming at all. We felt more like a nuisance since we were the first customers of the day. It took them almost 30 mins to get our food out. That's the longest I've ever had to wait for phở. I've been eating at mom and pop phở restaurants since I was a child and it's never taken that long, but like I said before--they weren't ready to serve as soon as they opened. The saving grace was definitely the food. As long as the wait was and as lackluster the customer service was, their phở was pretty tasty, no real complaint there. And my girlfriend enjoyed the chicken entree she got. If I do ever come back here, I'll make sure to come later and not right as they open. read more

We didn't know what to expect from this unassuming pho restaurant, but WOW they blew us away!! I got the number 10 (Pho with rare beef and brisket) and the broth was PHOnomenal!! Like literally the best pho broth I've ever had, and I get pho on the regular. Also the meat was super tender and delicious. Perfect portions of meat, noodles, onion, cilantro and broth. They also are very quick to bring you ice water in these nice metal cups as soon as you arrive. The service was excellent 10/10. The price was very affordable as well. I liked the atmosphere, it was super casual but still cute and had authentic pho restaurant vibes. Went there yesterday and I'm still thinking about it today, that's how good it was. The environment is calm but the server taking our order gives so much attitude when asked about the menu and not to mention the one that charges which is the older lady. A simple question was about there fee's and her way of just being explosive was so unprofessional and uncomfortable. They charged the tip on the bill automatically as well as a fee to use your card. Spring rolls and peanut sauce are so delicious. I asked if they could make me salt and pepper fish. They did and it did not disappoint. Love that this place is accommodating. There's a 3% surcharge when you use your credit or debit card which is odd considering a lot of other places prefer that you don't use cash. The chicken is tender and delicious, my only complaint is when the order is to go they put it in a styrofoam cup instead of the plastic ones so when it arrived it was leaking, I ordered it at my work and didn't have a bowl available so I lost maybe 50% of the broth due to that.
