BEWARE: The "Family-Owned" Aladdin is GONE - Corporate Takeover Disaster…read more I am writing this to warn my neighbors in the Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks area. I spent over $40,000 on a full new HVAC installation of 3 HVAC systems with Aladdin (now merged with Kilowatt/The SEER Group) in February 2025. My experience has been a nightmare of poor workmanship and unethical management. 1. Property Damage: During the installation, their crew damaged personal property in my home. Despite multiple requests, they have completely failed to take responsibility or repair the damage they caused. 2. Incompetent Service: Since the install, the system has had a persistent mechanical noise. They sent a technician named "John" twice; he was completely unable to diagnose the issue and lacked the basic technical knowledge to fix a system of this caliber. 3. "Gatekeeping" the Warranty: This is the most alarming part. When I requested a Senior Technician to finally fix the issue, the Assistant Manager attempted to "gatekeep" my warranty. They are currently refusing to schedule a repair appointment unless I agree to allow a non-technical office staff member into my home to "monitor" the visit. I have a right to privacy in my own home. There is no reason an administrative office worker needs to be present for a mechanical repair. Conditioning a $40k warranty on the homeowner waiving their privacy is, in my opinion, a deceptive and unprofessional tactic to avoid providing service. I have attempted to contact their corporate parent, The SEER Group, multiple times with zero response. If you value your home and your sanity, stay away from Aladdin and Kilowatt. I am now forced to file a formal complaint with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) to get the service I already paid for. Avoid at all costs.

The service tech came out and while the company's record keeping stated that they had not installed our unit, the service tech remembered having been at our home and indeed, installing the unit as well as the thermostat. He told us that our drains needed to be cleaned and said it runs about $600. Not able to spend that kind of money, the company's policy is to charge $100 for coming out, which is what they did. I feel this charge is unwarranted as this issue should not be occurring on a less than one year old unit. We're now out $100 and have no working A/C either.

After buying appliances at Home Depot, I was asked if I had water issues (which I do), and they offered to send someone to test my water for free and recommend solutions. Simple enough -- or so I thought. Instead, I got a series of texts from someone telling me that every adult in my home needed to be present during the appointment. They kept pushing about who would be there and even asked if my husband would be home. As a woman handling this appointment on my own, that immediately raised red flags. It honestly felt like I was being second-guessed because I'm a woman -- like my input wasn't valid without a male present. If I had been a man, I doubt my account notes would have been described as "very vague" just because I booked a free water test. The entire situation felt more like a high-pressure sales setup than a genuine consultation to help with water issues. Their reasoning? They didn't want to drive back later to explain equipment options to anyone else, due to gas costs. That's not my responsibility as a customer -- especially from a company tied to Home Depot. Overall, this felt unprofessional and honestly discriminatory. If you're considering water testing through Home Depot, be careful who they send. This didn't feel like a trustworthy or customer-focused experience. Also, this company is selling their machines for double what they're worth and it's pretty simple to hire a plumber to install them for you and buy one directly from a water softener and whole home water filtration manufacturer. Do a little research on how much these machines cost, I've found ones with excellent reviews for about $4/5k total. This company is selling theirs for $10k

Excellent workmanship and wonderful customer service!…read more We were looking to replace our old furnace and install a heat pump for our home in October. We interviewed 5 contractors and were very glad to have picked Integrity. From the very beginning, Integrity has conducted business very professionally. Steve came for a walk through, explained what we needed, and gave us a quote on the spot. The quote was within the mid range of all the quotes, and he walked me through all the Federal/state tax credit and manufacturer's rebate. A few days before installation, Julie called from the office and let us know the name of our tech (Jared) and their ETA. Jared and his team were very knowledgeable and considerate. Tarps were laid on our tile before work began, and the workers showed up on time everyday. On the days of inspection, Steve from Integrity came out again and waited patiently to walk the inspector through our project. Our experience with Integrity has been pleasant and we have found them to be very responsive and reliable with any questions and concerns we have. Highly recommend!

The tech/rep that came out took the time to go over all the repair/replace options with minimal sales pressure so we ended up replacing everything. The crew came out the next week and due to an inventory shortage installed a more efficient (and expensive) dual fuel heat pump system at no additional cost. The install was not without hiccups, but the company made good on everything that was promised and we are very satisfied with the results. Keep in mind that replacing an entire HVAC system IS NOT INEXPENSIVE, but there are only a few things in life where you cannot put a price on something that impacts your health, comfort and safety.
