Came here after walking way to far on a short visit to Tivoli and were starving. My wife got the cacio e pepe and I got the Maccheroni with Roman bacon. Our food came out after about 15-20 minutes and was nice and hot. They make their pasta fresh and you can taste the difference. My wifes was loaded with cheese and we really loved it, and mine was delicious with the roman bacon (aka pork belly) packing a lot of punch. The inside is very nice and would work for both a date or a family night. I recommend trying the pasta here if you get the chance! read more

Was a bit nervous about coming here since it was in a pretty touristy area and we've noticed that these places are more often a miss than a hit. We were pleasantly surprised and had some pretty solid food. We ordered the calzone, red sauce ravioli, and fettuccini with porcini. The calzone was the best I've ever had, the red sauce ravioli was solid, but unfortunately the mushroom pasta fell short. There wasn't much flavor to it and just had a TON of mushrooms. When the waiter finally did, he just hovered over us and smiled and didn't really say anything. So I just kind of said "Ok.. well enough of the small talk, let's eat." Wait staff totally inattentive. This by far was the best food we had in Rome near the Trevi fountain. We ate here twice on our stay in Rome and both times the food was great. Very fresh and carefully made. The first night we had dinner and shared a bottle of white wine, and started with calamari, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned! We sat outside and had a really attentive and kind server. From our table we could see the chefs cooking in the kitchen and making fresh pasta. I also loved the rice and seafood, I don't remember the name of the dish. It had clams, calamari, and shrimp soooo delicious and filling. We also had the chicken salad and it was really good and big enough to share between our group of 3 people. We shared an appetizer, a salad, and two dinner entrees and a bottle of wine and we were all full. It was so good that we stopped by the next day for lunch. Didn't have any bad food either times just a little careless service the second time. Our server brought out fries to our table that we didn't order and then charged us for it and was bothered when we asked them to take it off the tab at the end, but other than that still a five star review in my opinion. read more

We ate here our first night in Rome. We were tired after a day of travel and ended up here after talking to the girl on the street who was trying to bring in business. (Lesson #1: good restaurants don't need to have people on street trying to rope in customers). Service was very slow. Pasta dishes were obviously microwaved. So this place is not the most authentic experience. Don't think that's what you're getting when you walk in...I mean, the menu is in English for Pete's sake! Stopped in for a small bite and glass of wine. The reviews on this place are very mixed. I however had a wonderful experience. Our service was great. They were kind an attentive. They brought fresh bread to our table and had our wine glasses filled quickly. I was only slightly hungry so I just ordered a small plate of roasted potatoes and they were perfect. After chatting and eating we decided to order dessert and I was delighted. I order the profiteroles. Mini puffed pastries filled with custard topped with chocolate and whipped cream. I walked by to the restaurant and it has a fresh look outside unlike other restaurant you find in the area. I didn't hesitate and went in and greeted promptly, but the servers seemed to have a difficult time to find me a table for one. There is also a patio or courtyard in the back of the restaurant and wasn't busy at all. I ordered an appetizer, fried shrimp and calamari. Food came out pretty fast and was surprisingly good.
