I really enjoy the beers here. I would say better then most local breweries ive been to. Good food too.

So I finally went and found out...yes all the reviews are true! This place has awesome craft beer and a true IPA which is my fav. Ryan is great and we loved talking with him. He's like a beer scientist! You can sample the different beers and he will tell you about the future madness he is creating! Love the theme too. Its a great pre or post dinner drinking spot but make sure you have a DD because the police do patrol the area! read more

Pretty chill place to hangout. I went here during the super smash tournament and I loved their gamer christmas tree, it was the coolest thing ever! Their bathroom is really clean too! I would go here often to chill with my gamer friends more often if I had lived nearby, definately will go here again! read more

Love this place. Definitely my favorite brewery in the valley, and lucky I'm so close to it. 8-Bit themed, think Nintendo graphics. Great place to come and hang out, play some card/board games. Owners are beyond super friendly, level 20 charisma for sure. This is not a sports bar, there are no TV's (except during Tecmo Bowl Tournaments). Here you can "interact" with people and be "social" versus staring at a TV and ignoring the person you came with. read more

Great little bar near our home. I initially wanted the princess peach but you seemed to have a bad batch of it but your brewery wouldn't serve us a possible "bad" beer. He let us know that it would be fixed next day which is awesome. Instead he took time to explain the different ones on the menu as well as offer samples if needed. My girlfriend and I bought samplers and enjoyed each one. Prices were very reasonable and he even showed us the custom made soaps that they use the beer in. They all smell really good. Had a great conversation with the other customers at the bar and truly enjoyed our time. We will be back and I'll be sure to bring others. read more

If you love a small micro bar that cares about its clientele a lot this is the place. They play modern music in 8bit theme which is awesome. The beers are amazing and very different from normal beers. They have old school Mario games and games like it and from the era. They also have a bunch of board games available to play. They don't have food but encourage you to bring food in if you wish. This enables them to be great at beer and not meh at food and beer like a lot of places. They also have a players reward card that allows you to gain points based on the days you go to get prizes not on how much you spend. I highly recommend this place. read more

Great beer that has constant innovation and variety. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere is very laid back. The events are top notch and with board and video games out on display for entertainment. A good escape from typical sports bars around the valley with bland beer. read more

Just had my growler filled and all I have to say is this place is a gem! The gentleman working was very informative and helpful. He offered tastes of the beer to help me with my decision and also informed me that every Wednesday there is free trivia and every Friday there is a food truck parked outside the brewery to serve hungry customers. I ended up with the Reddi 1 and I couldn't be more pleased. The beer is of excellent quality!! My fiance and I will definitely be coming back! read more

8-bit is an amazing place to relive your Nintendo days of old but drink beer like a responsible adult!

Worth the drive for the beer, although I will say I wish these guys were a little more centrally located though, being I live in the East Valley. There's definitely a touch of nostalgia here for me, and I feel right at home while absorbing a stout potion. They have snack packs (about $6 if I recall), if you want something to nibble on (there's plenty there for one or two people), but other than that it's just you and the amazing... glorious... fully robust... beers (sans chainmail bikinis). The brew isn't too horribly priced, but it is craft, so expect to spend more than you would on dish water at some other drinker's dungeon. The staff is friendly and there's a couple video game consoles to play that will teleport you back to yesteryear. I'd love to see a DnD night down here or something else to the effect, this would be a great place to nerd out and drink beers with friends/family. Obviously, there's not much for kids to do here, so I wouldn't suggest bringing them--there is always the video games though. Totally give this place two staves up! Also, my fiancee and I filled two (2L) growlers up here before we left, the 1L pricing isn't too bad, and if you don't have your own fancy wizardly growlers with pewter handles, they do have 1L bottle growlers on hand, so don't worry about having to make an action roll when you get there. read more

Great beers !!! I was not much of a craft beer or brewery lover at first just not a fan of ( Hoppy ) beers. My cousin took me to 8 Bit so he could refill his growlers and we had the sampler. I was very impressed with the taste of each beer. I was able to talk to the owner and brewer and told him I was a fan. He has a dark beer that is in my opinion just as good or if not better than Guinness. read more

You can tell this is just another millennial homebrewer who thinks its cool to own a brewery but doesn't realize that since you are making beer that its cool to make GOOD beer in order to be a good brewery, not something that tastes like crap and that adding hops to a beer doesn't make it a good IPA unless you have a good beer that the hops are being added to. No food, tucked away in a strip mall. This place has business failure written all over it. Unless you are a millennial gamer I would avoid this place since the owner only seems to care about his kind of people and not the general public. read more

Hanging out in the area for a bit and wanted to try out the local craft beer scene. It wasn't very crowded on a Saturday night. Nice varied selection of beers, I ask for samples so as to make sure I was happy with my selection. Although the bartender was friendly enough, the samples barely coated the bottom of a small glass. Not enough to let my husband have a sip too. The atmosphere was a too ... sterile, not a place I wanted to hang out at; no dogs allowed, no food provided (they will provide you with menus of places that will deliver), and as one couple left the bartender sprayed the counter and wiped it down. Kudos for cleanliness, but I honestly do not remember ever seeing that before. When we said we didn't want another round, the bartender took our glasses. Mine had barely a sip left, but I grabbed it back stating that there was more in my pint glass than what was provided as a sample. You probably got it that the theme is old-time games; be aware that they play bleepy video arcade noise (music?) in the background. read more

Small, new brewery but I dig it. They have roughly 10 beers on tap and a cool theme. Food trucks come by to offer a food option. I'll be back and highly recommend it. Great staff too. Just waiting for the Nintendo systems to show up :) read more

Wow. Really good. The brewmaster was serving us, and shared his reasoning behind the different hops and styles he makes. I'm a stout fan, and they had a Figgy Pudding Stout that made me rethink my opinion of Figgy Pudding. read more
