I waited way too long to try this place. Big mistake…read more @frenchmeadowcafe in St.Paul is such a cozy lovely place for a meal. The food was amazing, hospitality was cozy, atmosphere was relaxing to be in. Their menu has much more we will need to return to try. They have an additional location in Minneapolis and a spot at the MN State Fair every year! I'm most eager to get back here to try breakfast soon! Brunch / breakfast is my love language. This place was perfect for the dinner atmosphere we needed on a cold MN evening. It would also be a great pick for date night. The things we tried and you should too: Chicken Wild Rice Soup (10/10) Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich (with the Maple Chipotle Glaze) Almond Encrusted Walleye Redemption Burger their fries were also a bit hit at our table Basically we loved this place and can't wait to try more items from them For more awesome food spots check out the account mallorymademetryitmn on Instagram!

It's much quieter around then which was nice because in the evenings, it can get very loud which makes it hard to have a conversation. I enjoyed a pistachio latte, my partner a mimosa. We each got our own main - him a burrito, myself a breakfast bowl (both delicious) - and split a corn pancake. We had plenty of leftovers to bring home. The selection is better at the Minneapolis location, but the St. Paul location has its own charm and still plenty of options for people who are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. There's something here for everyone.

Cozy! I simply enjoy it here. Breakfast all day is hard to find. The interior is massive and there…read moreis also a beautiful exterior patio during the summer with flowers and koi fish pond. The patio allows dogs. In addition, there is a dog menu! What?! The service is always prompt and I have never had issues getting seated immediately. I believe the employees used to be part of recovery but I'm not sure if that stands true today. The vibe is whimsical and I have only ever ordered breakfast here. Therefore, I can't speak towards the lunch items. Contrary, all breakfast items hit the spot. Recently I've been enjoying the earth breakfast which is two scrambled eggs in hashbrowns with onion and covered in cheddar cheese, served with toast. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. I've never ordered the cinnamon roll or caramel roll but I do see them in the pastry case all the time and they look phenomenal. I look forward to returning more! Thank you, Day by Day Cafe. You have a great business.

Every booth has a little lamp light and just a nostalgic, cozy feeling. I ended up having a breakfast burrito with fruit and it was just perfect. It wasn't an overstuffed burrito and just delicious. Also, great fruit selection, not just (nasty) cantaloupe. The restaurant also has a great mission, helping those in need get on the right path. Would definitely stop in to support that alone. The food and friendliness is just a bonus.
