The tire was low on my rental and I didn't see an air pump. I asked the lady inside (sorry I didn't catch her name but she was wearing a cat t-shirt) about an air pump. She volunteered to pump up my tires from the pump in the garage. The place looks like a bit of a dive, not like the photos in the review, but it's the dives that still have people that go that extra bit. Don't be deterred by the grumpy older gentlemen booking the trip. Only 3 trips a day & no one else is offering a boat trip on Lake Placid. Sure enough when we showed up at 1:15 for our 1:30 trip, the tours were all sold out. They split everyone onto 2 boats for social distancing & I must say - I liked being on a boat without being crowded! The guide on the boat was great - he provided the history & great information on some of the grand homes that are on the embankments. Tour is an hour. Well worth it!

Then stop at Maplefields, yeah the prices are the same as every other gas station in town but the restrooms are clean, they have spacious seating, free Wi-Fi and an in store Amato's for food. You also have access at a small fee these days to showers if you are on a long haul trucking assignment. As gas stations go this is a very very nice one.
