The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was full of rich, authentic flavor. The service was warm, genuine, and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. I truly appreciated the hospitality and will definitely return the next time I'm passing through the area. Highly recommended!

The entree was flavorful and well seasoned with Ethiopian butter, onion, jalapeño, and mitmita to give it a kick without being overly spicy. To my surprise, the cabbage was the star of the show. I've never had cabbage prepared in this way, but it was so good!! The best part of my visit was the hospitality. Although I do my best to be intentional about respecting the chef and kitchen, I arrived an hour before close and Tsigay was still polite enough to take my order. She was so kind and sweet, and helped me with my order. The interior is a combination of a small casual dining room and half grocery store. This restaurant had been on my list to try for a while and I'm glad I made it a priority during my trip to Charlotte.

I worked/lived in Northern Va for 15 years and would drive distances to do my grocery shopping there. BUT, this location is without a doubt THE most challenging location. For many reasons. The store lay out is like a jig saw puzzle. In no way does it follow the layout of all the other stores I've been to. The WORST part is the entry/exit and parking. Most every time I've been, there is always a near miss with someone pushing a cart with everything but groceries in the driveway entrance/exit. The most recent experience is why I finally decided to post this review as a WARNING. Beware, there are people who act as though they are trying to get hit. You can draw your own conclusions as to why but it's a fact. Yesterday, this person is approaching the entry crossing pushing a cart. I'm making a right turn off Central into the lot. We make eye contact, they stop as I inch closer into the entry way...then they STOP right in the middle of the crossing and act like they are pulling up their PANTS off the ground. There are vehicles behind me on the horn because they can't see what's going on. It's a highly dense, intense traffic location. On every side there are pedestrians, cyclers, dog walkers and people pushing carriages.

Their self checkouts are totally off the rails. If you lean forward and your shirt touches the scan area they lock up and call over the attendant to review the little video of you not actually stealing anything, sometimes two or three times in a checkout session. It's kinda insulting for a store that is otherwise so lax that there was a crafty panhandler actually lurking *inside* the store on a recent run, hitting me up to pay for their grocery basket.

It does get incredibly busy in the afternoons, and sometimes there are going to be a pump or two out of service. I'd write that off to the fact that it such a high traffic gas station that things are going to wear and tear faster than most places. Regardless, every time I've been inside I've found relatively clean facilities and stocked shelves of the travel essentials and snacks. Clean floors, clean coffee counter, and someone's always behind the register. I've even got a donut a time or two here. It's not anything to write home about (definitely not my first choice for a donut, or second for that matter), but it's cheap and passable if you really need someone to keep you going. My station of choice is always going to be a QT (since the closest Sheetz is up in Troutman), but the University area only has the one near the Music Pavilion, so this Circle K is more than enough for when I'm around here. I can't speak on the Subway, but it's pretty slammed around lunchtime as well. Their sanitation store was in the high-90's if that helps you. Other than the mentions above, I've never felt unsafe when I stop here. I'm normally in and out in less than five minutes with my gas or drink from inside the store. It definitely does what it's supposed to deliver on as far as I'm concerned.
