QT has one thing going for it that I wish Wawa had: breakfast pizza! It's really good; I missed it and grabbed a slice for the first time in ages. The "sauce" is sausage gravy topped with more bacon, cheese, and sausage. The crust is decent too: thick enough to support the cheesy, goopy toppings. It's not an everyday meal but it's nice every once in awhile. It's a pretty big slice but they also sell "individual" sized whole pizzas. QT is the Cadillac of gas stations. They are always so clean and the staff is so friendly. They are always well stocked with snacks and drinks. I love their soda wall. I always want a Big Q (Large fountain drink) when I drive by. I visit QT throughout town when I'm working and they are all very well taken care of and new. Most QTs are less than 3 years old because they are very new to the area. You can order freshly made food at the back counter. I always enjoy their hot salted and buttered pretzel. It's heated up fresh so it comes out piping out and ready to eat! If you pass a QT it's a great place to stop for a clean bathroom or a snack for the road. read more

The closest QT to my house and one of the newer ones in the Charlotte area (relatively speaking, all of their stores are less than 3 years old). I go to a lot of QuikTrip stores throughout the week and I can tell you that this one follows the company's standards of cleanliness very well. Trash cans outside are emptied regularly and employees are always out cleaning up somebody else's mess (shame on people!). Heck, one day I even saw an QT associate pressure washing in front of the door, impressive! I can't stress this amenity enough: All QuikTrip stores have FREE AIR! Who would ever have thought we'd be cruising all around Charlotte looking for a place to top off a tire without being robbed by an air compressor? I pulled into another gas station the other day and their compressor had a $1.50 fee, complete with a credit card reader, what is this?! Thank you QT, for the free air, it means a lot. It makes me wonder if someday in the near future, might we have to pay for regular air to breathe? I digress... If you're going up or down Tryon St. the store is easy enough to pull into. Northbound just turn right into the place and southbound will need to turn onto Pavilion Blvd, then right at the movie theater. If you're on Salome Church Rd. (most people would know it as Ridge Rd, it changes names near Hwy 29) you're outta luck. You're forced to turn right, away from the store, then the only place to make a (legal) U-turn is about 1-1/2 miles up the road, bummer! Everything you would expect at a convenience store can of course be found here. Fresh pizza, milkshakes, hot dogs, and a huge selection of snacks are all QuikTrip staples. This was my first time visiting this store. I was immediately welcomed by staff. I noticed the store was clean and everything was in order. This store is not your average gas station because of the large selection of items. The food actually looked appetizing which is something most do no say at the usual filler up shops. This QT left a bad taste in my mouth thanks to the clueless looking kid behind the counter with dark hair and glasses (don't remember his name) . But I tried to buy a tobacco product and he ID'd me and I showed him my passport since I lost my driver's license recently and this denied me because my passport couldn't scan but he knew well that I was of age by looking at my birthdate and proceeded to say "sorry ma'am the scanner doesn't work and I can't sell it to you".... This is the Walmart of gas stations! The QT kitchen is surprisingly great for coffee, milkshakes, and even pizza.
