I came by to get some gas, but also go inside and get some Red Bull My husband wanted to get a drink for dropping off at a function and they told him that a passport would not be legitimate ID and that it was state law I don't mind somebody having rules for their store, but I don't like when they tell somebody incorrect information I get that they want ID and some type of way however, I do know that it's the option to many - with only a passport. they will not turn them away and that would be really not business savvy to treat one particular group differently.

When I asked for the purpose of the ID requirement, considering I was paying cash and purchasing a non-alcoholic product, he responded, "No ID, no sale," without providing any explanation! I am over 40 years old and my age was clearly not in question. The interaction felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Based on the cashier's behavior and demeanor from the start of the interaction, I felt I was being treated differently, and it raised serious concerns of discriminatory treatment rather than a legitimate age verification issue. Although I ultimately showed my ID, I informed the cashier that if they did not want my business, I did not want theirs either.
