Fortunately, this station was conveniently available right when I needed them! Writing reviews about a gas station is not likely to be read by most people who are only searching for a nearby station and not particularly interested in individual experiences. But as a loyal Yelper, I always feel compelled to write something about a business that I patronize. As far as gas stations go, they fit the bill as being a good, solid filling station, with convenience store. Even though it is located on a busy corner which in turn, seems to keep them busy, it was nice that there is plenty of space to maneuver around the pumps with little stress when having to wait ones turn.

I decided to help him, so I got him water and then offered to buy him something from the store. I invited him inside to pick something out, while his dog stayed outside the entire time. Instead of simply being respectful, the owner came out and told both of us to leave. I was a paying customer and asked him to give me a moment because I was still paying for my items. He told me "adios" and that he didn't care and just wanted me out of his store. He also made a point of telling me "I own this place." I understand that he owns the business and has the right to enforce his rules, but that does not give anyone a reason to treat people disrespectfully. It costs nothing to be kind. What upset me the most was the lack of compassion not only toward me, but toward someone who was simply trying to get water and stay out of the heat. The dog was never inside the store, yet somehow the situation turned into both of us being kicked out. Being told "adios" in that dismissive way was completely unnecessary and disrespectful. I'm not even Hispanic, so I especially didn't appreciate being spoken to that way. I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. Being a business owner should come with professionalism and basic respect for your customers and other people. I will not be returning to this Shell.
