Jim and Adam arrived in the promised window and after a walk through to explain the process and ask questions about my problem area they got to work. The smell of that pretreatment as it is mixed and applied is quite potent - but it is a good smell for sure. I mention that because we have an olfactory sensitive staff member who I had wisely told to stay away until we were done. While Fantastic was not the least expensive project quite I received they were very competitive and worked hard to understand my needs and earn my business. They are packing to leave and I could not be more pleased with the clean and freshness of our cheap glue down office carpet. Just because it looks clean doesn't mean it is and I wanted to see the dirty extraction water like always because I find it satisfying to see all that ick going down the drain. They were very careful with our belongings and respectful of our space at all points in the process. The big soup stain and the big Sprite mess at our front door are completely gone and the areas under our chairs that had all those little spots are nice and clean. Would highly highly recommend and will for sure use them again. Adam is apprenticing to James to continue the business and that is always gratifying to me on a personal level to support generational businesses that have survived and thrived.

I need to be honest here - as a cleaning agency, while there are a few things I did like about…read moreBetter Choice (responsiveness, straightforward pricing, on-time arrival), I can't say I'll be using them again - and I would not recommend to others. Context: we are in the process of preparing to move. We have most of our belongings boxed in the garage, and at the time the cleaners arrived, there was what I would characterize as a very normal amount of personal belongings. The cleaners said they normally start in the primary bedroom, and when it wasn't available at the start time, they went to the kitchen. So far so good. And I'm working alongside - like I said, we're prepping the house, it's a team sport. But then they'd start to get sidetracked or hyperfocused on non-issue areas like intensely scrubbing the top inside of the oven or wiping each blind over and over. I really don't want to be micromanaging, so I text the HQ and just make sure we're on the same page of the things that were outlined in their inclusions. I say that since we're mostly interested in taking care of stuff that will show in photos, I wonder if we could deprioritize the drawer interior wiping and organizing. And they would respond to that, but then get hung up on something else. What didn't make sense to me was, again, the fact that the house was in a pretty normal condition as far as the stuff that people usually have around the house, but the cleaners were operating like they were only used to doing a rental deposit prep after belongings had been taken out. Fast forward to now, several days later. Every day I'm finding things that were definitely in their cleaning path that were completely ignored. It's unfortunate that I didn't notice them when they were here, but again, who wants to micromanage? And yet I'm taking magic erasers to blinds - the ones that they spent a ton of time on - because there are very obvious but very cleanable (read: one magic eraser swipe) spots on them. I literally picked a dead mosquito out of the window sill shortly after they left. I will say this - together, we got a lot more done in a relatively short amount of time than I would've been able to do on my own. The office staff were quick to respond and communications were prompt and professional. But if you need an extra set or two of hands of people who will work, there are better-priced alternatives, and I'm sure you'll find one or two that will dazzle you with the results. tl;dr: A Better Choice? Sadly, this is not.
