When we finally came to OSP, we knew this was where we wanted to live. After moving in, we learned of the fun events they have frequently. Casual and fun - not a sales pitch, just their way of showing appreciation. Most importantly, staff is attentive to guests and their needs. Building is well maintained. Right after we moved in, the Floyd murder, and then COVID hit. With the increase in crime, having a concierge who can watch the door and all outer doors open with your key fob provides the right level of security - without being intrusive. Lastly, this is not senior living; rather, it is a true community with all ages, races and religions who treat each other with respect and a smile. We love our apartment and plan to be here for a long, long time.

For the record, I'm a young working man who was a market rate resident at One Southdale Place for a…read moreyear. I lived there with my girlfriend. We paid rent on time, didn't cause problems (except for one noise complaint), and kept to ourselves. I also am not the type to leave bad reviews or argue with people. Before we start, I want to say I would not recommend living here. When we moved into the apartment, we noticed the unit was unfinished and submitted a maintenance request on paper which was never fixed. Throughout living there, we were also treated poorly by almost all of the staff there. The front desk employees clearly pick favorites and oh my goodness the attitude from them is unbearable. I personally thought the demographic of the apartment was mostly much older people and that's what they seem to like there. I was surprised to be mistaken for a FedEx driver when asking a question at the front desk. This is just one incidence out of many. Once again I was a market rate resident... not affordable housing. Moving on. Theoretically, let's say you were to accidentally leave something in your apartment when moving out and you really needed it back. You might be gaslighted into thinking you never left anything there and then not being compensated for the lost item. They might even give you something that wasn't even yours and tell you they found it in your apartment. Shady stuff. I wouldn't expect to get much of your security deposit back unless you barely live in your home because I was charged for "stove damage" from COOKING. On the STOVE. I was also charged quite a bit for adhesive residue on the wall. If you're planning on decorating, this is not the best spot. I could go on, but let's talk about the actual apartment. These are all personal opinions, not facts (for legal reasons). Decent location but it can get pretty loud from all the traffic. The windows don't keep out noise very well. The amenities are just quite boring and are often used by older people to play cards or chit chat.. It honestly felt like a retirement home. Be prepared to get awkward stares if you're not over the age of 30. There are only 2 EV chargers for the entire building. This is an older building so expect older quality, older people, and older technology. All in all, I would say DO NOT live here. There are so many better options that actually feel like modern luxury and probably are offering specials too. If you're 40+ years old it might be a decent spot to live, but if you're like me, you'll hate it here. It did not feel worth the price AT ALL and the community is awful.

After touring over 10 apartments, I made my mind immediately right after walking into the unit that Megan presented to me. I was very happy to see a more efficient and reasonable arranged space comparing to other apartments I have visited. The living room, bedroom and walk-in closet are a lot larger, not mention the lovely balcony, indoor swimming pool, saner, cinema room and lots of nice public space for all the residents. Finding an apartment that can meet one's expectations won't be easy! Durham Apartment has almost everything that I am looking for. I really appreciated the great help and wonderful service that Megan provided to me. It was such a pleasure working with her and her team. I am so looking forward to starting a new life at Durham Apartment in Edina, MN.

Although it is always a plus to have incredible neighbors, it doesn't make up for the living conditions! This residence has many faults! We experienced so many issues in the first few months at Aria, that it ended up effecting our entire experience here. We first moved in on September 1st and some of the amenities that were most important to us, were still incomplete, like the dog oasis! We found out we had a gas leak about a month after moving into our apartment! Our hallway on a daily basis smelt like weed and over-powered our unit! We also had many small issues, such as tub cracks, wall cracks, water pressure issues, and our door never fit correctly, which let in an unwelcoming amount of noise! Some of these issues many units experienced! It was such a disappointment to experience these type of issues, especially when we had such high hopes for Aria! We feel as though it was rushed to be completed and due to the rush, many of there standards fell short! We even had blue tape on cupboards and walls where they were damaged or had issues and were not fixed before we moved in! We have decided it's best to cut our lease short and pay the penalties to get out and move past this unfortunate situation!

Novo was the last of a dozen apartments I visited in the Twin Cities (out of dozens considered)…read more The location just east of Southdale Mall and west of I-35W on the Richfield-Edina border is ideal in my opinion. I was surprised at the relatively low occupancy level here, especially compared to how few apartments are listed as available at all of the other places I considered. It could be because of new management taking over back in 2021. The cost of the larger 1BR units seemed very attractive. The building itself is of a more modern decor. A small pool (and a putting green!) are positioned on the interior of the U-shaped building, with a common room and fitness center on the first floor facing the pool. Oh, and they have a lovely virtual golf simulator available on a first come basis! Assigned underground parking spots and *huge* storage lockers are available at a reasonably monthly cost. There were numerous 1BR floor plans to consider, ranging from 600 to almost 1000 square feet. Units facing the interior would likely get noise from the pool area and service vehicles. If I had selected this facility I would have opted for a unit facing north onto a quiet residential street. The east-facing units overlook a strip mall and parking lot, while the south-facing units overlook 66th Street and seem like they would be harder to keep cool in the summer. While I cannot provide a long-term review of Novo, I encourage folks to check them out as part of their search.
