Extremely unprofessional experience with Lynnvues Apartments. I've been trying for TWO WEEKS to…read moreschedule a simple tour and still haven't been able to see the property. No matter what availability I provide, I'm told it doesn't work. When I try to be flexible and adjust to their schedule, I'm still dismissed. At this point, it feels like they have no interest in working with potential residents at all. Communication has been just as bad. Every time I speak with Lisa, it's like starting from scratch--previous conversations are completely ignored, and I have to repeat myself over and over with zero progress. If this is how they treat people before they even move in, I can't imagine how management is once you're actually a tenant. Very disappointing and a complete waste of time.

They lowered the rent because they couldn't get qualified people to pay the price. In doing that, they have now moved in people who trash the place. For this place being brand new, there's trash everywhere, the elevators constantly break down, people keep smoking in the hallways, the maintenance guy doesn't know how to fix things nor does he ever pick up any trash, the janitor only comes once a week for a couple hours, the garage lobby door is always broken, there's trash in the trash room that are not being thrown down the trash chute, the inside of the elevators are always dirty, theirs shoe prints on the elevator call button, the hallways and garage always smell like weed, for this place to be smoke free, the maintenance guy smokes onsite that you the hvac vents pick up the smell and now it smells in the apartment, and the hallways smells like trash. The apartment is made with very cheap materials. The stove constantly trips the breaker. People store their stuff in their parking stalls. I regret living here. I would not recommend this dump! They don't know how to manage the property and the owner doesn't care!

After touring over 10 apartments, I made my mind immediately right after walking into the unit that Megan presented to me. I was very happy to see a more efficient and reasonable arranged space comparing to other apartments I have visited. The living room, bedroom and walk-in closet are a lot larger, not mention the lovely balcony, indoor swimming pool, saner, cinema room and lots of nice public space for all the residents. Finding an apartment that can meet one's expectations won't be easy! Durham Apartment has almost everything that I am looking for. I really appreciated the great help and wonderful service that Megan provided to me. It was such a pleasure working with her and her team. I am so looking forward to starting a new life at Durham Apartment in Edina, MN.

No matinance, all are 'rented' provided. This building has changed so much. It's filthy, the office staff is laughable. Cars get broken into, garbage in parking lot and throughout the building. The management company will rip you off one way or another. Great location and several different apartments nearby to explore. Stay away.

One Southdale Place - Stunning Apartment Home at One Southdale Place

    One Southdale Place

For the record, I'm a young working man who was a market rate resident at One Southdale Place for a…read moreyear. I lived there with my girlfriend. We paid rent on time, didn't cause problems (except for one noise complaint), and kept to ourselves. I also am not the type to leave bad reviews or argue with people. Before we start, I want to say I would not recommend living here. When we moved into the apartment, we noticed the unit was unfinished and submitted a maintenance request on paper which was never fixed. Throughout living there, we were also treated poorly by almost all of the staff there. The front desk employees clearly pick favorites and oh my goodness the attitude from them is unbearable. I personally thought the demographic of the apartment was mostly much older people and that's what they seem to like there. I was surprised to be mistaken for a FedEx driver when asking a question at the front desk. This is just one incidence out of many. Once again I was a market rate resident... not affordable housing. Moving on. Theoretically, let's say you were to accidentally leave something in your apartment when moving out and you really needed it back. You might be gaslighted into thinking you never left anything there and then not being compensated for the lost item. They might even give you something that wasn't even yours and tell you they found it in your apartment. Shady stuff. I wouldn't expect to get much of your security deposit back unless you barely live in your home because I was charged for "stove damage" from COOKING. On the STOVE. I was also charged quite a bit for adhesive residue on the wall. If you're planning on decorating, this is not the best spot. I could go on, but let's talk about the actual apartment. These are all personal opinions, not facts (for legal reasons). Decent location but it can get pretty loud from all the traffic. The windows don't keep out noise very well. The amenities are just quite boring and are often used by older people to play cards or chit chat.. It honestly felt like a retirement home. Be prepared to get awkward stares if you're not over the age of 30. There are only 2 EV chargers for the entire building. This is an older building so expect older quality, older people, and older technology. All in all, I would say DO NOT live here. There are so many better options that actually feel like modern luxury and probably are offering specials too. If you're 40+ years old it might be a decent spot to live, but if you're like me, you'll hate it here. It did not feel worth the price AT ALL and the community is awful.

Prejudice + Power = Racism…read more I needed office space so I rented a place at One Southdale. There was a guffaw of problems, primarily with management and staff, never directly with residence. This place is like an old folks home, filled with older, primarily white folks, who can't help but give minorities eyebrow screws, and ask questions like, "can I help you, as I don't recognize you" statements. I rarely used the amenities due to the unwanted stares and questions and challenges to prove my residency. When I moved in, my movers (2 black guys), were deliberately locked outside. When I inquired how were they expected to move my furniture, the concierge told me, " I don't know, but it's really cold when they open the door". Constant odors of trash or marijuana. Constant harassment from folks gaining access to the building to knock for sales calls, random snooping by your door, or other supposed business... when I thought this building was supposed to be secure . Constant theft of bicycles, car break ins, NO SECURITY. Concierge will not allow you access to the building, especially if you are black. On the other hand, my housekeeper, a Mexican lady, could get access to my apartment (yes give her a key even) with 0 authorization from me. No Security - no security officer or security officer presence. This is a minimal requirement for a community that touts luxury accommodations... they have none. When I moved out, and old guy in a Porsche approached my movers and asked, "are y'all moving in or out"? To which I responded, "sir, why do you care?" He said, "Because I own all of this", I asked still, "...ok, why do you care!?" Price gouging is a regular aspect of this place, when I moved out, I had to hire lawyers to ensure they wouldn't over charge for fees and attempt other tactics. These people are evil, and this place is far from luxury.
