In a town full of luxury apartment complexes, I urge you to pick the Walkway. I spent the last year there (only leaving because of an out-of-state-opportunity) and I could not have had a better experience.
From the first time I entered the towering foyer, with the stunning chandelier, to meet the leasing agent (Alaina) who sold us on the spot, to our final turning-in-of-the-keys I could not have been more impressed.
Coming from property management myself, I was impressed from the get-go with our tour. Alaina was thorough, friendly and outgoing. Not pushy or rushed in the least. For my year there she continued to be extraordinarily helpful and responsive with any request or question I had.
In addition to Alaina, there was the Walkway's very own concierge! Jean Pierre could just as easily be helping an A list celebrity with the extremely attentive, friendly, and outgoing manner in which he treats all residents. Always ready to great anyone who walks by, quick to problem solve, and very knowledgeable about the city, he is an unforgettable part of the Walkway experience. It will be hard to adjust to the change of not having such an informative concierge around to help!
Another integral part of the staff was the newest addition Kaileigh. It is rare you find someone who learns resident's names, likes and habits so quickly as she did. From a smiling good morning to a pleasant chat after arriving back home from work, she works very hard to make residents feel at home. Even as busy and stressful as leasing can be, I can attest to the fact that I never experienced a situation where I did felt as though I was not a priority--a testament to her dedication to not only bringing in new clientele, but to also making the current resident group want to stay. She will make a phenomenal property manager some day and clearly has a strong understanding of leasing/customer service!
This, of course, brings us to the captain of the ship and the person who keeps it afloat: Jamie the Property Manager and Brandon the best maintenance worker I have ever dealt with. To truly have a luxury experience, it requires the full time dedication of both the Property Manager and the maintenance staff to always be working towards resident satisfaction. I give them 10 out of 10. Jamie never would hesitate to check in and see how my experience was going, how my day was, or just to say hi which is a rare thing to find in a property manager. Not only did she clearly have to deal with the big picture items (budgets, occupancy, retention..etc), she clearly cared about the small day-to-day happenings of the residents as well. I hope it is not long before she is a regional, as I imagine she could do wonders for the company. It is in this same way I think of Brandon who did an exemplary job with maintenance. Not only was he frequently willing to just check in as people walk by and ask how there apartments are operating, but he was constantly seen moving from one apartment to another to continue completing work orders. Having worked with maintenance staffs before who were not anywhere near as dedicated, it was a delight to have such incredible service. On top of that, I'd add that he has wonderful people skills and is energetic, outgoing, and as with all of the other staff, I'd highly recommend him for some type of award/promotion/accommodation. We used to say at my property that the leasing staff sold the place, but it was maintenance that kept you there. I can say with certainty that had it not been for my having to leave, Brandon would have bewn a large part of my staying there.
Lastly, I don't know how many shout-outs the cleaning staff gets, but they were always very courteous and would leave the Walkway sparkling clean!
All in all, I was unbelievably impressed with everything from the cleaning crew all the way to the Property Manager. It is hard to find an apartment complex in a big city that manages to make you feel truly at home and comfortable and I'd put the Walkway up against any other complex in town. Kaileigh, Jean-Pierre, Brandon, and Jamie all work flawlessly to give every resident a true luxury experience. 5/5 read more
