I am not sure why anyone would think 707 should get anything over 3 stars. The facility is old and the prices are high. The biggest think I noted was that the staff is deceptive. They tell you all the rental guns are one price but neglect to say that the ammo price. I also did not care for the "I'll see what discounts we have" then don't give a discount. He knows if he has discounts or not from the start. I did not ask for a discount so don't pretend you're going to give it to me Just to make me sign up. As a new handgun owner, I took a private lesson, learning some things I hadn't considered, and shot a few rounds in the range. I scheduled training for my CWP, which I completed on May 10. The instructor did a great presentation and offered tips and insights to help keep me safe and how to avoid unnecessary dangerous situations. Very upsetting, walked in and was told that owner changed policy on type of ammo not allowed, with no posting to public. there is nothing about this change on website or in papers you have to sign to protect them from lawsuits. $10 for 30 minutes, while palmetto state armory is 8 miles down the road and has $10 buys you a whole hour. read more

We are in Myrtle Beach on vacation and we were looking for something to do on a rainy day and since my son had never been to a gun range I figured it would be a lot of fun. I could have saved some money and showed my son all the do's and don'ts but I opted for him to take the lesson which had everything he needed to get started included and I'm glad I did because they were not only knowledgeable but they took the time to teach him everything he needed to know about shooting, while I could enjoy shooting a 10mm Glock. With a private parking lot (front & rear), 707 is a great place to shoot indoors. Hand gun and rifle rentals available. If you need a one-on-one session with a trainer, they offer hourly rates for that too. . An attached gun shop is right next door for repairs, accessories and weapon purchases. They offer courses for safety and certification to carry as well. NOTE: If you sign up for the course, bring a sweatshirt, the room is a bit chilly. (I'm here in January). This is an excellent range and it offers concealed weapons classes. I found out about this place after moving to the area last summer. I enjoy target shooting with my wife and we wanted to find a quality indoor range close by. This certainly fills the bill. I found this in the tourist booklet and decided to go based on the Yelp reviews. I had a great time learning the basics of shooting but it was a bit uncomfortable due to the lack of mask enforcement and I don't want to say it, but hopefully not, because I was one of 2 Black women in the store. We were not treated poorly, in fact the men at least, (or of course), were friendly when the woman who seemed to be an instructor, definitely an employee, left the range room. She had a sour face and maybe was ruining the environment. Once she left, the men in the other spaces started assisting our instructor with tips for first timers and joking around which is what I'm used to from stores filled with locals. Not sure if I would go back but our instructor was helpful and it was not expensive. read more

I came into 707 to take my CWP course with Wade as our instructor. Aside from all the friendly staff it was a great class and learning experience. I'm very fidgety but the class was entertaining enough to keep me seated haha. Wade was very friendly and helpful with questions. I've come to 707 in the past just to hit the range which was greeted with the same type of service. Only downside in my eyes is the 5 lanes, meaning you may have a wait if it's busy. Took the conceal carry course here. Instructor was very patient and informative. Explained the course and the process thoroughly. I decided to purchase a concealable semi automatic. I shopped at a major sporting goods store first. With the salesman's help, I picked out a pistol. I would have preferred dual action, but was told that pistols this size only came in single action. Had there not been an issue with my driver's license, I would have purchased the gun anyway. I got my license corrected and decided to go to the 707 Shop. Explained what I was looking for and the salesman reached into the cabinet and handed me the exact same pistol as I had seen at the other place. And then he told me that he could special order this pistol with dual action. I paid for the gun right then and there, and picked up the special order the next day. Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact price. 707 was either $50 cheaper or the same price. Why would I ever go back to the other place for firearms? read more

The workers there are very friendly and professional. My wife took one hour safety training and shooting using her own pistol. Was very pleased. I intimidate her and I finally talked her in to taking short class. She was glad she did. The range officer is very attentive and 100% concerned on safety. I been meaning to write this review for some time and finally have some downtime from work to do so. Last late October my wife and I traveled to the Myrtle Beach area for a vacation. I bought my two 38 revolvers along as we did a little research and heard there were a couple of gun ranges in the area. One of the days we decided to check out 707 and were not disappointed. First and foremost the staff at 707 were both friendly and professional. We were very welcomed when we check in and, my wife especially, thought the range was very well run and she felt very safe. I must say it felt like a family run business, which it may be, I don't know if it is or not. Next time we are down in the Myrtle Beach area 707 is a must stop. I would highly recommend after a nice shoot at 707 checking out the restaurants at Merritt's Inlet. They are close by and makes a great shoot and food date with your significant other. read more

The men here are very knowledgeable in teaching how to shoot a firearm. I went in as a rookie, with no experience at all. I tried to shoot the way one taught me and I guess it wasn't comfortable for me. On another date, the instructor showed me a different way and I did much better. On one more date, I ended up shooting in a combination of the positions, and the instructor said I did just fine! Head and eye gear must be worn when in the range. If you don't have your own, you can buy it there. I have also received my SC and Utah CWP's through this facility. They also taught my son. I feel since my son was living in my house at the time, he understood the safety issues and responsibility, having a gun in the home. Superb! read more

I signed up to shot with my wife while on vacation. I have been shooting for over 35 years and have been to many ranges Over the years. This range was very small and and had an old school crank to send the targets down range, not a big deal. The people didn't seem to friendly, maybe because of us being out of towners, not sure. But, I feel they could be a little more friendly, I mean we are supposed to be in the most safest place on the planet... A Gun range/store!!! I will never go there again. read more

My two friends and I came to myrtle beach for a few days on vacation and decided to go to a shooting range. Upon finding this one we decided to check it out since it had good reviews and we were not disappointed one bit! This place is awesome - from the moment you walk in the front door the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They were able to help us first-timers out without making us feel out of place. Stan gave us a 10-15 minute lesson on how to hold, load, aim and shoot the gun. Once we got into our lane to shoot he walked us through every step and after every 10 rounds he brought our target back in to go over and give us constructive criticism (in the nicest way possible of course!) This place is also well maintained and clean which is a plus. If it weren't for us being on a time crunch I would absolutely go back before leaving!
