I was in San Gabriel area and heading back down to OC and since I had the 7 Leaves app already installed on my phone I decide to drop at this location. I already placed an order for 2 Sunset Passion on the app and the estimated time for pickup was approximately 8 minutes. I arrived earlier than the timeframe and when I entered the store my drinks were already ready. At the time I went, all the parking spaces in front and near the store was taken so I park in the parking lot in the nearby shopping center. I was a little surprised to see a sign at the parking lot to beware of your surroundings and ensure to be vigilant of belongings in the car. I don't go to the Montebello often, but aside from this, the overall area felt extremely safe. Funny enough, I live here in Montebello and pass this place almost every day, but never stopped in -- which is surprising because I'm definitely a coffee drinker. Years ago, I went to the Monterey Park drive-thru location and was told they only had iced coffee drinks. Since I'm usually a hot coffee person, I never really went back. Fast forward to today, I was actually in the mood for iced coffee, so I decided to finally stop in and give it another try. I was surprised to learn they do have hot coffee options now, along with a huge variety of flavored coffees and teas. I love cinnamon, so I asked if they had any cinnamon-based drinks, but unfortunately they don't carry anything with cinnamon flavors. Instead, I ordered their original House Coffee, which is Vietnamese-inspired, along with a traditional Vietnamese iced coffee so I could compare the two. I also grabbed a pistachio macaron. The employee taking our order was really friendly and gave a few helpful suggestions, which made the experience even better. The shop itself has a very trendy and welcoming atmosphere. There were a lot of people inside studying, working on laptops, and hanging out, which gave it a really relaxed vibe. Overall, I'm glad I finally stopped in. I was in the area for work and decided to stop by and order a drink on a hot day. I arrived around opening so there wasn't many people. While I waited for my drink, o noted they have a book library at this location so it was pretty cool to have something for the community to engage in. I was a first timer and ordered the hibiscus tea with aloe Vera. The drink was good but tasted a bit artificial and didn't really taste much of the hibiscus. It didn't taste like tea, rather water, flavoring and sweetener with a sprinkle of tea leaves to give the impression it was tea...While it was "tea" it would have been better to maybe have a tea bag or poured ""steeped tea" instead of loose leaf teas because the straw was so big, I kept getting leaves stuck in the back of my throat. It was sweet and refreshing to have but it wasn't nothing to rave about. When I did more research on the sweetener I was told they use artificial sweetener versus agave or honey. So while it was something that did the trick and quenched my thirst, it wasn't the healthier option I thought it would be. Maybe I'll return to try other items on the menu. read more

I got their strawberry sunset , Thai tea, Tea-rex, taro milk tea drinks, and strawberry, pistachio, and salted caramel macarons to try. The strawberry sunset kinda reminded me of a strawberry lemonade with extra fruity passion fruit flaves. The Thai tea was milky, sweet and had a light tea flave. The tea Rex was a mix of their mung bean milk tea and matcha. It was sweet, had good smooth matchay flaves, with an extra earthy, slightly nutty beany flave from the mung bean. The taro milk tea had good nutty, earthy, vanillay taro flaves. Yall know I gotta get me some pastries with my drinks and I got some of their macarons which were actually really good, chewy, lightly crisp, and a bit crumbly. My fave was definitely the salted caramel one which had lots of strong sweet flaves. Overall this place is pretty good. I'm pretty sure everyone has heard of 7 Leaves at least once, but I realized I've never actually written a review for it. I usually get the Vietnamese coffee with very light sweetness because I like a strong coffee flavor. I like that they let you customize ice level, sweetness, and add-ons like boba. Prices are fair and the drinks are always worth it. I come to this location to study sometimes, though the tables are pretty small unless you grab the one larger high-top table. On the plus side, there are plenty of outlets, fast WiFi, and the staff is great. Parking is easy too. The only downside is the restroom feels like a freezer with how strong the AC is. (it literally feels like it's the north pole) Jokes aside, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you haven't already! read more

I will always get the house coffee from here! I will though never had the other refresher drinks. It's at times very strong but I prefer it when I wake up. It's not a super sweet drink if that's what you crave. However, if you pick it up early at 7 am they don't boil the boba yet and tell you can't have that. The matcha here is bad! Don't go here for any matcha drink. It's very low grade and it just tastes like sugared milk with some green powder. Not a fan. Never been to a 7Leaves I didn't like...till now. Probably the least efficient 7Leaves I've been to. There was a rush which was understandable since it was around the time school came out. That being said, even with a huge line, the cashier offered a customer a free sample. The customer didn't request it so it felt like an unnecessary time waste for everyone else in line. I ordered my drink in line via the app to save time, but my mobile order was completely ignored till I asked about it. She did apologize, but it felt like a silly oversight considering so many other mobile orders went through. Also if you're so overwhelmed, why bother with free samples during a rush? Coffee was very good but next time I have to say, light ice. Cup was filled 3/4 of ice and there was some type of cold foam so I feel like I didn't get a lot of coffee. I ordered through my 7leaves mobile app for a pickup (prices as of September 2024): ++Sea Cream Jasmine Tea $6.30 - No complaints here! I had ordered the drink with less sea cream and it was just the right amount. I crave this drink from time to time so I was happy to satisfy that craving! ++Mint Sereno $5.75 - This one was for my husband. Unfortunately, this drink wasn't as good. The coffee tasted watered down, and it wasn't as creamy as we would have liked. I've ordered the mint sereno at the Alhambra location, and we always thought the drink was comparable to Philz Coffee Mint coffee. Unfortunately, this drink just fell a little short. The mint was too faint, and the coffee was not flavorful at all. It took us a while to finish this because it wasn't the greatest. I don't think I'd order this one again. Service: A pleasant, short and sweet interaction. I went to the side to ask for my two mobile orders and they promptly grabbed them for me. They also helped me kindly bag them when I asked. Parking: No issues at all. Plenty of spots are available since it's located inside a plaza. I parked right outside the store. I enjoy coming here, but the noise level that comes from the back by the employees is a consistent issue and can get pretty loud in the lobby. On top of that, the music being played isn't always appropriate, especially for families with kids. Upon asking kindly if the back music can be toned down in the back the employees laughed and proceed playing their loud music. I came by this past weekend and got the jasmine sea salt cream drink. They recommended not to change the sugar etc so I kept it as is and it really was good! Highly recommend this drink. If you are the owner of this franchise, you need to wake up and do better because it shows that you are unfit to actually run this establishment. I visited this place one afternoon at approximately 3:30 PM. I did not receive my order until past 4 PM. That means a wait time of over 30 minutes! How do you even defend this disastrous service? Go ahead tell me I'm waiting. The answer is you can't. So you either train your staff to move faster, or actually hire people that know what they're doing.
