More than I would totally pay for some of our recent dinners. We've been to their Boca location. And the design of their restaurants are white and bright and airy, but have no sound dampening elements. Here, too, it's excruciatingly loud. Voices carry and everyone is trying to speak over everyone else to hear and attempt a conversation. Is this to keep folks from lingering? I ordered an avocado smash and my husband ordered the New Yorker. You order and pay at the counter and they give you a numbered block of wood to put on your table. This is not a fast food restaurant. They brought my husband's coffee first -- but it was cold. When he told the server about it, she said they couldn't heat it; that they'd have to remake it. When it was returned, the guy said he'd heated it! But at least it was warm and now had steamed milk -- closer to the cafe con leche he'd wanted. They delivered my food plate. And the gal walked away with my husband's food. Walked around the room and then back to the counter. We watched her do this. I walked up to the counter where she was standing and holding his plate and asked to get his food! She said she'd gotten confused. I'd added smoked salmon to the avocado toast. The toast was very pretty to look at. There were watermelon radishes and thinly sliced cucumbers on top of the smashed avocado. On top was a generous portion of smoked salmon. No cilantro as on the menu, but a dash of everything seasoning. The base was a toasted piece of sourdough bread. My husband's New Yorker had scallion cream cheese topped with sliced tomatoes, smoked salmon topped with pickled red onions and sprouts. The base was toasted sourdough bread. He said it was very good once he got it! I'm glad we tried them. Now we know.

I was quite disappointed with my experience at Camela Coffee. I stopped by during a morning run and…read moreordered a bacon sandwich along with a coffee. Unfortunately, both left much to be desired. The sandwich was lacking in filling and real bacon. It's was like bacon bits, but it was mostly consisting of bread so much so that I regretted not taking a picture of it opened up. The coffee, which I had hoped would be good given that it's made from freshly ground beans, also fell flat. The service didn't help the situation either. I stood in front of a staff member for a good five minutes before someone else had to step in and prompt her to assist me. She was quite dismissive. On a positive note, the interior of the coffee shop is quite charming with ample seating, which is the only highlight of my visit. Perhaps I'll give Camela Coffee another chance in the future when there are different staff members on duty and I can try something else, but this visit was not a good one in terms of service or food.

Not your typical quiet, zen coffee house, but more of an upscale, lively setting that's perfect if you're into a vibrant atmosphere. Plenty of tables for business meet-ups, team collaborations, or just lounging with a drink. Even though there was a line, it moved quickly, and the baristas were warm and friendly. I ordered a Chai Latte, along with a Breakfast Croissant and an Almond Croissant for something sweet. Everything was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with love. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you're looking for great coffee, pastries, and an energetic vibe!

This is a fairly new location in a fairly new plaza off Southern Blvd. The food is just as good as any other location we've been to and the restaurant was clean, service was friendly and quick. You grab a menu as soon as you walk in and make your decision before getting to the counter. They do bring the food out to you but there's no table service. Ketchup, hot sauce, napkins, fountain drinks and etc are self service, and there's a dedicated place for your dirty dishes. Excellent biscuits and gravy and can't go wrong with their fried tomatoes.

They give you a number to place on your table. You help yourself to drinks. I'd ordered a decaf iced coffee and was happy to find a carafe of decaffeinated coffee on the counter. I was able to add ice and half and half and "doctor" it to taste. For my meal, I had one of the "biscuit plates" -- three chicken tenders with a biscuit and house made kettle chips. It came with a choice of dipping sauces. I chose maple mustard. The three tenders were lightly breaded and slightly spicy. They were quite good. The chips were served warm and addictive. But the star of the plate was the light and fluffy and buttery biscuit!! OMG! My husband had a "signature" biscuit called the squawking goat. It had melted goat cheese on top on the chicken in a biscuit sandwich over pepper jelly. He said it was fantastic. Suffice it to say, we will be back -- even if only for the biscuits.
