The organization at this busy Starbucks in the Glades Plaza was astounding. Ordered three different coffees in-store that were ready withing five minutes. They gave me a requested whip cream topping free on my iced coffee just to add some originality. The Starbucks coffees were pricey as usual but satisfying. The lobby seating was full of customers and the online orders were continual. The barista provided a code for the bathroom locking mechanism. The gender assigned bathroom was in good shape and the gray faux cement walls against the large porcelain scratched flooring gave it an industrial appearance. read more

Again, how does one assess a SBUX? They all have the same products... so I look at service, cleanliness, seating availability, and of course, how quickly the queue moves. Note: as expected, the service depends on the staff. On a Sunday morning on June there were 5 staff, two handling online orders, one at register. And one dusting the air vents. (Which should not occur while customers are in the store).). So only one handling orders of people walking in. Very slow. And sloppy with following requests on what sweeteners to use. Disappointing. At this location, the queue moves quickly, the register/order taking folks are good, pleasant, and it's clean. It's always jammed with people. FAU Students. Business people. Local employees from the various shops. And it always appears that at least half of those at Seats and tables are engaged in a meeting or interview. And therefore, they use those tables and seats for a long long time. Now you can't blame SBUX for that,, but if you're looking for a location where you can get a coffee or sandwich and actually sit and enjoy it, the odds are against you. And some of those people at their meetings are loud, like grating on your ears loud, like I always wonder why can't they just speak lower? There are tables outside around the perimeter of the store, seating about 14. They are always occupied. The parking lot is always busy and difficult to maneuver. When backing out of a spot exercise caution. This is Bocaland, the drivers are aggressive, many overmedicated from their tranquilizers, or in the morning, hung over from the sleeping pill taken the night before. It's quintessential SBUX. Stopped by here briefly because I was in the same plaza for another reason. It was pretty full mid day, and the store looked very sparse inside, as it is on a corner and the entire seating area is glass window on two sides. I sat outside, as it was not too hot out and more private than being inside. I asked about the prink drink and ordered this. It was tasty, but not sure drinking sweetened coconut milk is really on the same level as a brewed coffee! The cup was full of mostly ice and chopped strawberries which stuck to the ice. I definitely could not taste the strawberries, but the pink color was fun. read more

Came in the afternoon and they had no Blonde Roast, they apparently stop it at 10:00am. We chose the Pike Place blend and they served it barely warm. We returned it and they said they could make us a fresh batch in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we still weren't called for the replacement. Apparently they didn't bother to call on us to tell us when the coffee was ready--not impressed. Once received, the fresh batch was nice and hot and good tasting. Been coming to this Starbucks since I relocated jobs and need a daily pick-me-up. It's in a great location for a Starbucks because there isn't anything else like it (coffee shop or fast food open for breakfast) in a very close proximity so it's kind of cornering the market, but in the morning it's beyond busy. My last visit took 15 minutes to get an iced tea, that's it. Nothing added to it. I've noticed the employees, who are probably fried, probably from all of the customers. I don't think you need to be chipper like that chicken place that isn't open on Sunday, but I definitely get sort of a "meh" feeling from them. So much so that they gave a guy a breakfast sandwich which was never put in the oven to cook. It was frozen. It's got a small seating area and is pretty clean. If I'm not in a hurry, sure I'd come here, but out of all of the Starbucks here in the general area, I've definitely seen and been to better. read more

If they have good coffee (I'm talking machine quality) and good staff they can often pull off a worthwhile experience. Lately, many are failing yet some still set the mark. 2200 Glades 1). Taste of Coffee - somehow they have a fresher, cleaner flavor of coffee then most other stores. I'll drive out of my way for this one. This is my favorite location. 2). Food - Usual as good as the coffee. 3). Employee attitude - very good - even when I've had an issue, they actually try to learn, learn your name and next time say - hey is this better now? 4). Environment - too many teenagers with little respect for masks but often quiet enough to roll in and out without much contact 5). Starbucks.... we all know the coffee and we all know the expected quality... but this location tends to forget that part. One question, who is training the staff at this location? Been here a few times in the past (convenient for after dinner coffee right by Brewzzi's) but the drinks were not prepared as good as our regular locations. Finished lunch a couple weeks ago at Brewzzi and was in the mood for a after dinner Starbucks treat and decided to give another try... not good decision on my part. It was horrible... We went back to the register and said it was watery and blah; they offered a replacement but not so surprisingly someone else was asking for their money back. The girl refunded us and gave us a card for a replacement drink to be used at any location. Please re-train your staff and get back on par with other Starbucks. There is a couple of positive points though, this location is large so you never have to worry about finding a chair couch or bench to sit. And something I really like (that is often over-looked), they have plug outlets so you can plug in your laptop and work away. read more

We used to LOVE this Starbucks location, the staff, atmosphere and service are impeccable. However, we haven't been there in weeks as the artificial light on the outside was changed some time ago, to a really blinding, jarring brightness. We are not alone in complaining about it, other 'regulars' too are staying away. It's uncomfortable to sit outside with that obnoxious bright cold light, please guys, talk to the management of the complex. Starbucks is the only establishment open later. On October 10 my son and I entered the Starbucks in Glades Plaza, Boca Raton. After ordering I witnessed one of the staff spraying raid roach spray all over the food prep area, the shelves above and behind the counters. The smell of the pesticide was very heavy and when I inquired two of the employees admitted that they have a bug issue. Needless to say, we will never return and I highly advise anyone who plans to visit to avoid this location. It is obviously uncleanly and the staff is not trained properly with regard to sanitation and food safety. I have never seen anything like it. Disgusting! read more

It's disappointing when it's not made correctly.. went to a location that said they had straws and could Consistently follow my app ordered designed drink. "Perfect" this location is in the glades Plaza just west of I/95 in Boca Raton/ I ordered my drink and walked in and it was ready, the staff is friendly and respectful. No drive through available, they do have curbside service clearly marked if you don't like going inside. Oh!! Almost forgot to mention how clean and organized the store is.. I use to come to this store but like the Yamato store they have had consistency issues in the past. The manager and her staff seems to have fixed those underlying issues that drive customers crazy, especially when pressed for Time... Great Job!! read more

I've been coming to this location for over 15 years. I used to stop in to get triple grande vanilla latte's and put a ton of sweetener in them when I was a freshman in college. I even dated a girl whom I met while she was working there over 10 years ago! She was cool! Now I pop in because I seem to be driving by it enough at those wonky times when a quick Americano can save your entire afternoon. I find people I meet with for work suggest it as an offsite meeting place, I happily agree to it, however, I don't get into my detailed history at the location. I do find the staff to be quite attentive, but I agree with other reviewers that it can be a busy store and we shouldn't expect overworked baristas to be non-stop chipper... It's okay to feel the slunk from time to time, and for the most part the management and staff are good at what they do. One criticism I do have is the Men's bathroom situation can be rather uncomfortable. There used to be a handicap accessible stall with it's own sink, as well as a urinal and sink, so 2 people could be in the bathroom comfortably. But at some point over the years, the urinal was removed, but the sink was left. So now you have a Sink, and a lot of empty wallspace, before the brushed stainless steel partition to the only toilet and second sink in the back. It's weird. I wonder what the zoning calls for in those bathrooms, surely they're up to code? and if the ladies room still has 2 toilets or is it also down to one? The lack of hand towels always irritates me because the bathroom generally could be cleaner and thus isn't the type of place I'm comfortable just slapping a clean palm on the door knob to exit. Something that keeps me up nights pondering. If they would show the restrooms the same attention they showed the front-of-house during the last renovation I would be an appreciative patron. Otherwise, I'm glad this location has stood the test of time and continues to do well and serve the oversensitive, but thankless community that frequents that area of Glades Road in Boca Raton. Don't know if it's because it's Spring Break, and busier than usual, but this location had very poor customer service this morning. I ordered vente latte & they had to put it into 2 grande cups because they were out of lids for vente size. No big deal, right? After receiving my order of 2 breakfast sandwiches & drinks & now with my items ready, she wouldn't give me a bag to put it all in to carry to car. She told me that they have to save the bags for the Uber drivers. Guess they don't care about their 'in house' customers and catering to Uber is their preference. read more

As a former barista, I suppose I have ever-so-slightly higher expectations of Starbucks employees than the average customer. Maybe not. But I do know what you're supposed to do, according to corporate office rules, and what you really just SHOULD do, considering you're in the food service industry. We came in tonight and it wasn't like they were slammed with customers. I encountered three employees: a nice girl who was the cashier, another girl who cleaned the bar area with entirely too much bleach, and a surly guy barista who wouldn't make eye contact (anyone else find that a bit disconcerting?). So I ordered my vanilla chai, and waited to pick up my drink. I noticed the guy setting out drinks for people to come retrieve, except he didn't announce which drink was which and just let people fend for themselves. When my drink finally was put out (again, it wasn't busy but this took WAY too long, to the point that I thought they perhaps forgot my order), he just placed the cup on the counter and walked away. I had to turn the cup around to read it to make sure it was mine. If this had happened when I was a barista, someone would've inevitably grabbed someone else's drink and drama that's typical of snobby Boca clientele would've ensued. I walked away from this place thinking that these people just really don't like (or care about) their jobs. I've visited my fair share of Starbucks locations, but this place ranks towards the bottom of the pile.
