Today, I stopped at the second such station on the way to work (there are two), after driving by the first and thinking "No, I'll wait". Waiting was a mistake. Now, I'm sure just about everybody reading this has stopped at a gas station and purchased a beverage before, and I'm also pretty sure that it was a REALLY, REALLY, REALLY easy thing to do. However, for me, it was not an easy thing to do - no, folks, I was subjected to mother fucking arts & crafts time when purchasing a beverage! You see, my good friends and readers (and Romans? And countrymen?), when I pulled my last ratty Washington from my pocket, a corner tore off. Oh, this was no horrible tear (...but it was apparently a terror for the cashier), it was simply 1/4" piece that ripped off the upper left corner. Sure, it was right through the "1", but it's not a big deal, right? Hell, I recall a bank having given me bills worse than this! I did what any ordinary person would do: I handed the minorly-damaged $1 bill to the cashier (along with 3 quarters and a nickel). She promptly took the 80 cents, and then looked up at me. This is when the fun began. This is when I realized I had left my glue stick and safety scissors at home. This is when I wanted to pound my head against a wall. This is when I wanted to go thirsty. "I can't take that bill like that", the obviously moronic cashier informed me. I was taken aback. I thought she was joking. I looked at her face - her expression didn't seem to be one of humor... What is going on? I quickly replied, "What? Of course you can, it's barely damaged. I get dollars like that all of the time." "No, it's ripped and it needs to be fixed," she said. "Okay so can yo-", I muttered. Cutting me off, the lady said, "No, you're going to fix it. I'm going to get you some tape and you are going to fix it, then I'll take it." I was in serious shock now. I didn't know what to say. This lady was being serious. SHE REALLY WANTED TO PLAY ARTS AND CRAFTS WITH A DOLLAR BILL. I was hoping she'd bring back some glitter with the tape, and maybe some ribbon... Why stop at fixing it? Why not dress it up and make it all cutesy? She brought the tape back to me and handed me a piece. I "fixed" the tear and handed it to her. I started to turn to leave, having had enough of this nonsense. However, before I could finish my one step to the right (there was no jump to the left), I was yelled at. It was the cashier again, informing me that the bill wasn't up to her high-horse standards. She spoke down to me like she were a teacher and I were a kindergarten student, "Honey, come on now! You know this isn't right! Is that what it's supposed to look like? Really now, you can do better than that! What is wrong with you!?" I stared at her for a few seconds, while she held the bill, arm extended out towards me, expecting me to fix it. I sighed, took the bill and fixed it (there was a 1/16" gap when I had taped the pieces together - the horror!), handing it back to her. She accepted the bill, said "That's much better, dear. It looks right this time unlike the first time! Thank you!", all in a completely condescending tone, and immediately turned and put it in the register. I made sure to tell her "You're welcome" in the same condescending tone, and then ended up with "So that was the most idiotic customer service experience I've ever had." Clearly, I was dealing with an expert crafter. She's probably won Craft Wars or something and was offended that I didn't recognize her. I probably should've apologized to her FOR LEAVING MY SMOCK AND GLUE STICKS AT HOME! ...or maybe she just feels powerless at her low paying job and needed to get over on somebody. Either way, fuck that lady... I can honestly say that it was the second-worst customer service experience I've ever had, and that's only because I've been to McDonald's before.

    This is going to be a bit of a story lol. Two experiences for this morning. The first time I came in with a mobile order, which no where does it tell you to pick up at register. The African woman I spoke with who had long braided hair was busy, but was being rude with me when I was simply asking about my order. Keep in mind I'm using my little 15 minute break during work to do this. She didn't listen to me about the fact I ordered 10 minutes prior and didn't consider I made a mobile order. My break is up and I finally get to find out that it's been sitting at the register the entire time. I go to work and find the burrito had no cheese or egg. At this point in infuriated. I call in about this with my frustration so hopefully it'll be ready by the time I get back. I get back, I show the issue. We confirm the APP is the problem with not having egg, however I still didn't receive cheese. Once we confirmed it was the APPs fault, I was able to calm down some. The order screens on site give you the egg option, but online/app doesn't. The woman who I spoke with first time was much more understanding and respectful talking to me as well which made me feel better. They remade my order, let me keep the mess up for my time used, and gave me a free fountain drink for my time. All of these kind curtesies they did for me changed my 1 star review ready to break something to 4 stars. The service changed the second time around, the majority of the order mistake was the app's fault, and I was compensated for the large amount of time I had to use for this encounter. I appreciate the staff for the second encounter. I do not recommend ordering this burrito online or through the app unless you can add a note lol.

    I've been at Royal Farm store on Mace Avenue in Essex, Maryland three times just this week and they…read morehave no chicken. I came to the store to get some chicken and fries, but they have no chicken breast at all and they only have about 10 fries available for me to buy. The fries are always very nasty and disgusting at this store because they're always very old.I walked into the store and they told me it would be at least 20-25 minutes for chicken breast. This is Sunday 9/28/25. On Wednesday four days ago they told me it would be 20-25 for chicken breast and 15 minutes for fries. Obviously I left because no one wants to wait 30 minutes for fries and chicken when I can go right down the street at Popeyes and get what I want at the drive-through window in five minutes. I don't know what is going on with Royal Farms but it seems like every store you go into has no fries and no chicken. They had small fries for one dollar the last three or four weeks but every time I ask for the small fries they told me it was gonna be 15 minutes before I could get the fries because they don't have any. I live in Baltimore county and I work in Howard . I go to Baltimore city regularly to visit a friend of mine and it seems like every royal farm store. I go to doesn't have any fries that are fresh!! They don't have any chicken breast at all, fresh or old. They say that their food is real fresh real fast, but it's not fresh at it's not fast at all. So I suggest going to Popeyes, KFC or McDonald's because Royal Farms is it's all talk and no action!

He was a tall, thin, African man with an accent. As I was leaving the store, he called out to me, came outside, called me back into the store, and asked me to open my tote bag, which I did. He took my bag of chips which was a product that their store did not carry. He returned my bag of chips and DIDN'T BOTHER TO APOLOGIZE. He told me not to come to the store again when I did absolutely NOTHING WRONG. He thought I had been stealing just because he saw me in the store 1.5 weeks earlier and just because I was walking around the store in the present store visit. Since when is it wrong to walk around a store, then leave without buying anything? On a prior visit to this store, I left the store after changing my mind about my needs. As I was leaving, the cashier called me back inside. I stayed polite but I was irked that they were bothering me when I was trying to leave and go to work. If I need your help, I will ask for it. I am leaving because I am done. So, as you can see, TWICE, I have been heckled as I left this store. Each time, by a different employee, and the second time, falsely accused of stealing. The buns are always fresh. 2) Plenty of toppings for my dog and they keep the ketchup out of the onions. Cheese flows like the blood in my arteries. 3) The slurpy machine does not start defrosting until after midnight. Always well stocked with cups and straws. Nothing worse than not having those long straws at the ready, 4) Plenty of good snacks. I need kettle chips with my dogs and they seem to never run out of them. 5) Lots of Ben and Jerry's flavors to choose from. 6) No ATM. So there are no little receipt slips laying on the floors and the meth heads are not in there trying to get money. 7) Hot coffee and cold fixin's. I love French Vanilla cream and they always have a bottle (Not those little pain in the a** cuplets) to pour. Lots of Splenda so I can maintain my girlish figure. Well stocked with stirrers, cup sleeves and two kinds of tops depending upon your transportation needs. 8) Cleanliness - The most important. The guys who run this place really keep it clean, well lit and stocked. This is the best one I have seen so far. 9) The most important thing - Friendly service. I cannot tell you how many times I have gone into other 7-11's and get some sour puss act like he is doing me a favor by shopping at his store. The guys at this place are helpful, friendly and are nice. 10) Cash back at the register. I can get 5 or 10 dollars back in change, That is a great help. I am sure it is because they do not want a lot of cash on hand. Robbers stay away from this one! 11) Prices - Sure they can be high, but hell this is a convenience store. You pay more for it. But you can save money. Look for the combination deals on food. They cook a lot of pizza and chicken in house. It is inexpensive and really decent. Check the website for deals and you can save some cash. One of the nicest 7-11's by far. Great job guys!
