Maybe they were just too busy, or I wasn't being clear. Probably not their fault, but it sort of ruined the mood for me. I would go back for sure and suspect this review will gain a star once I do.

I really do hate giving small businesses bad reviews but certain things rise to the occasion and…read morethis is one. As a customer it's my obligation to help other customers save their money and avoid places that nickel and dime customers out of their hard earned money. This place (who relied on us during COVID to keep them going) is greedy and taking advantage of the very people who supported it. I am talking about all the fees and charges they add on top of their food prices and do not tell you about them until you get the check. I hate that businesses charge credit card fees in today's market, after raising prices you also add in the fees you pay to be able to use credit card services. Bagel Works is one of those businesses but they take it once step further and now add a "tablet fee" on top of it. So let me gets this straight, you want us to pay for your decision to use tablets when typically those companies charge little or nothing for the POS (Point of Sale) as they recoup their money thru (you guessed it) more fees. We are not going back just like we are not going back to other businesses that continue unscrupulous predatory fees.
