This store has a new Operator in place. His name is Niz and he is INCREDIBLE! What a great attitude, personality, and service professional he is. The rest of the staff is great but he makes this store fun, vibrant, and gives each and every customer a personal touch. He does a lot of work within the community by helping with donations to Santa Ana High School, and gets to know all his local officers and city officials to make this a safe, fast, and friendly shopping environment. Nothing good happens here. The location is busy and very difficult to pull out of the parking lot back onto 1st street. It is very close to a school campus so it is usually packed with students in the early morning hours. Outside has several homeless people and people riding their bikes so watch out. There are also strange people lingering. One came to my window and used all my favorite words in Spanish when communicating with me. Even threw in a Grand and brought up my Mother to me. Staff is friendly. Everyone seems to do their best to get customers in and out as quick as possible. Fountain machines are sometimes a little messy, empty at times and out of ice. Worst customer service and honestly I had it with the same employee he is by far the worst person and has a very bad attitude. The first time I encountered him was because I was purchasing some scratchers it was not even the time to selling the scratchers because I had ask before trying to buy them and when I ask for some scratchers he said it's close and I told him I still have 30 min and he really with oh I know but I am about to clock out and I don't feel like selling no more. He got mad when I was requesting for the slice pizza he didn't want to give it to me he said it's the same thing I told him I wanted it fresh then he grab the old pizza and tossed back again to sell to someone else. I asked for him name and he said his name is Jape or something like that. He is 5'5 dark skin and semi long hair. While the other employee was there sitting I told him he has a bad attitude everytime I come and I'm sure I'm not the only one who encountered his attitude. By far the mosr dirtiest 7 eleven Ive ever been too. Emplyee was disgustinly rude and the owner was scetchy looking exchanging something right outside the door. Really? The workers here are friendly. I've gotten to know them over the 1.5 years that I've lived by here. In the mornings on school days, the lines can seem long because the high schoolers stopping before class, but the line goes quickly; they know how to handle it and staff accordingly. read more

This store is close to my job so ideal to walk to get a snack. Ever since the manager became Niz, things have noticeable changed in a positive way. There is a security outside now and sometimes you are welcomed by music playing outside the store somehow. Niz is very friendly, helpful and welcoming to his store and it is rubbing off on his staff as well. I wish they had more hot food and snack selections although the pizza and chicken are pretty tasty. I'm glad to see the changes and look forward to visiting this store more. read more

This place is terrible, i bought 2 one chips and got scammed there was an Indian guy with a slit on his brow and he charged me 20$ bucks when the total was 17.89. As a matter of fact he's been scamming many kids and taking advantage throughout the school hole day. read more

Why does 7-11 never seem to carry Benson & Hedges Ultra Lights [regular not menthol]?! Oh well, this 7-11 is around the corner from my place, and I drive by here everyday on my way home from work. Last night I needed cigarettes and a tall can of whatever. It must have been my lucky day because they are now carrying tall cans of PBR! This is gonna get dangerous! Don't be surprised if I go in and buy them all. For $1.69 each you really can't beat it. Now that I just finished the last one I have I'm kinda thinking of walking over there to pick up a few more. I came in at for a Double Goulp and a large ice coffee! They appear to have ran out of vanilla flavor ice coffee so I asked the guy at the register to see if they had some more and he said "yes, but I can't put a new one cause I'm alone working here" a second costumer came in and he wanted the same kind of coffee and so I asked the guy at the register once again and he replied with the same " I can't put a new one cause I'm alone working here" I left my cups there and I left. Management, please review your video from 5:45am this morning. You'll see me pull up to the store in a red vehicle, with my daughter, to buy a sandwich and a bag of chips for her lunch. One must cross the threshold of transients to enter the store anymore, and today was no different. You'll see the lady who staggered into me as I entered the store, which made the entire experience awkward. Two minutes later, one the way out, we were acosted by another of the 6 loiterers while he yelled and screamed about drug use, pointing at my daughter and yelling, "You see, kids!? This is what drug use does to your BRAIN!" This is my neighborhood, and my closest 7-11. I understand all too well the challenges you face, and I have seen your efforts to thwart the local transient population using your property as ground zero; Be it the loud classical music, or occasional security presence. You must do more. Until such time, I, my family, and anyone who might need convenience items and asks for suggestions will NOT be utilizing the First/Flower store. There is always gang members hanging out front but they don't bother me. It is just weird cause it's near the court house - you figure it would be less populated their with them being there - but nope it's not.
