Not open 24/7 despite posted hours, and not the place to go when you've run out of milk in the middle of the night.

I noticed Gregorys Coffee moved in when Starbucks moved out a while ago. I had been curious as to…read morehow good their coffee was, but there was always a line and I chose to go when there wasn't one. I tried an Americano a little while ago and it was quite good. I became a huge fan of Americano the first time tried in Rome many years ago. As a coffee drinker I simply thought an Americano was a watered-down espresso. I learned there is a little more to it. The Americano is my favorite coffee, although I usually drink a brewed black coffee. GC's Americano is very good and will probably be my go-to order there. Service was good and the young man behind the counter was quick to offer an Americano when I learned their regular black was being brewed. Anyway, I found a good spot for a coffee break (between shopping) whenever I am down at Stanford. And...the pics.

Be careful if you're gluten free. ASK QUESTIONS FOR YOUR SAFETY. The menu is not accurate. Their…read moreoatmeal when I visited is NOT gluten free, even though it's marked on the menu as such. They had the regular Quaker Oats instant oatmeal, NOT the GF version. The English muffins contain wheat, even though they do not list wheat on their menu. It seems they're just trying to be trendy (but careless) with their menu rather than actually paying attention to food safety. I would prefer a coffee shop just own their lack of gluten-free options. I would still go somewhere for good coffee and good service. The only reason I'm giving three stars instead of one is because their cashier was patient and knowledgeable. She checked the ingredients of the English muffins for me. And she already knew the oatmeal was not the correct GF version when I asked about it. She saved me from getting glutened. A++ for the cashier. They also had soy milk, which I was happy about.

I can never stay more than 30 minutes because of the heat. I constantly overhear other customers say it's too hot and watch them leave the store. I honestly feel bad for the employee's for working in that heat, I truly hope this gets resolved both for the customer's and employee's sake.

I guess that it's known to have good coffee and nice exterior. It looks really nice inside but outside is way better due to scenic the atmosphere is. Bunch of plants, cars driving, people walking on sidewalks, good view of other businesses, etc. It's really a good setting for studying and working. Perhaps, many university students go here for that. I saw many people use their laptops and devices. Back to the interior, it looks really modern and a perfect fit for a coffee place. I didn't really get something crazy, but I did had cafe au lait. Tastes like usual, but their prices are quite expensive since that drink was $6.30, which can be twice as expensive as the ones from low-end cafes. However, it's worth the stay and experience. I did stay outside and I honestly like it. It's probably going to be one of go to places for coffee whenever I visit downtown.

I love me some good coffee!! Found this place randomly while visiting and glad I stumbled upon it…read more The line was a little long but it moves pretty quick. There's a few tables and chairs to enjoy your drink and/or pastry and it's shaded. The patio is pet friendly. We ordered the iced filter coffee and it was nice, strong and smooth. We also got their seasonal flavor orange cream latte and it was so delicious. The orange was light in flavor but enough to taste the orange notes and the consistency with the whole milk was decadent. Not too sweet. Definitely will come back when in the area again.

Certainly a neighborhood feel with dogs, strollers, and the typical guys on laptops. There was only one seat available and it was positioned in the back row facing the crowd. FWIW: I'm not a coffee sage who demand specific regions, roast or rules. Flight: cold brew, cortado, shot and latte. No sugar. Two types of beans with cards describing where they come from and what flavors to expect. Experience was pleasant, even though the place was crowded. The coffees themselves were just ok. I was told what order to drink them in and I finished (90%), all but the iced version - something about the light roast with sour notes really put me off. Reasons to return: People watching- excellent. So many strollers with human and canines in them. Stayed for 1.5 hrs Coffee- good. Didn't love everything they served but they were purposeful in teaching about beans and prep. Service- fine. Person taking the order was lovely, person serving the order was clinical. No smiles on this guy.

"Rich, but not too sweet"…read more I stopped in during a day walking around the Stanford Shopping Center. The owner was in and gave us an introduction to the pâtisserie and a sample of the Hokkaido milk crêpe cake. It was rich and creamy, but also light and airy because of the many layers of crêpes. I was craving matcha today so I took a slice home. It had a true, luxurious matcha taste! IIRC the owner said they use quality matcha from Kyoto. I could taste it in every decadent bite. Everything about the matcha cake was well balanced: the ratio of ingredients, the subtle sweetness, all so that the matcha notes could shine. Not only were the desserts simply perfect, they were so beautifully presented too. There was no indoor seating but there's plenty of outdoor seating in the shopping center for that lovely outdoor cafe experience. Highly recommend for when you want a (not too) sweet treat. I'll be coming back for that panna cotta next time!
