Stopped by Tierra Encanto and absolutely loved it. I ordered the pistachio latte, and it was…read moreperfectly done -- a great balance of nutty flavor with just the right touch of subtle sweetness, not overpowering at all. Easily one of the better specialty lattes I've had. The almond croissant was fantastic: flaky, buttery, and topped generously with almonds. It paired really well with the coffee. The café was very busy when we walked in, which says a lot about how popular it is. Tables are on the smaller side, so if you're planning to work on a laptop, it can feel a bit tight -- but it's still doable if you're mindful of space. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and welcoming, even with the rush. Overall, great coffee, excellent pastries, and a warm vibe. Definitely worth the stop, whether you're grabbing something to-go or sitting down for a bit.

I've seen a few negative reviews, but my experience has been totally different and I honestly think those critiques are undeserved. The coffee and food are fantastic. Their beans come fresh from the family plantations in Colombia, which you really can taste in every cup -- you won't find that kind of direct farm-to-cup flavor around here. It's wonderful to have such great quality coffee and a lovely atmosphere right here in Lake Hiawatha. Highly recommend stopping by!

The…read moreblack-and-white, comic-style design is incredibly fun and makes the space feel playful and unique which is very Instagram-able and definitely a spot you come to for the experience and photos alone. I absolutely loved the idea and the overall vibe of the cafe. That said, we came specifically for coffee and mochi donuts, and unfortunately those fell a bit short. The coffee was just okay, and the mochi donuts weren't great - ours tasted on the staler side, which was disappointing. Overall, I really think this place has a lot of potential. The service is great and the concept is very unique for this area, and with some improvements to the quality and freshness of the food and drinks, it could easily become a go-to spot. Worth checking out for the aesthetic, but I'm hoping the menu catches up to how cool the space is.

I've wanted to check this place out for a while since they are so close to my house and glad I did!…read moreThere's plenty of parking in the back lot and they have their own entrance. The cafe is pretty big, they have a separate room for events! Plenty of photo ops throughout. They have a menu of sandwiches as well as pastries and such. I ordered the caramel macchiato and my gf got the taro bubble tea. I tried both and loved them! The woman at the counter was very helpful. It was approx $15 for both which is expensive but I'd rather pay that to a small business owner than some big corporation.

All the seating seems to be vintage lounge furniture and tons of pirate ship like details. Even the china and cups are all different with a fanciful flare. Dirty chai (5/5) really nice and smooth not too sweet or spiced Pistachio special (2/5) I didn't try it but the feedback was it tasted kind of plain like warm milk The pastry was (6/5) just made and SO GOOD indulgent worthy They offer a bunch of different types of iced, hot and non caffeinated drinks. Really fun spot friendly staff and the kicker was the adorable mini art work vending machine. Street parking and tons of cute shops and restaurants all around.

They usually play jazz music which is great to relax to but their furniture needs a huge upgrade for starters. The stools are very creaky. A couple of the couches are also not very comfortable to sit on for extended periods of time. They don't have many outlets to plug your electronics into. The bathroom is reallllly small. Its basically a closet. Lastly they dont have central air so Its difficult to get comfortable during the hot summer. I also dont think the owner likes me too much. I think he thought i was hitting on his girlfriend. The hours are great though. They're open 7am to 7pm everyday which no other coffee shop can match. Update: Now you see from the response Alex posted what a shmo this guy is claiming I was there 122 times. If anyone can tell me why someone would visit this place that frequently, id love to know. The Salvation Army probably has better furniture. Alex's ego is so big yet he runs a shop that one or two people pop in at most on any given day. Don't like people? Don't serve the public. For every person that doesn't like me, I bet there's 100 that despise you.
