We were pleasantly surprised and very happy with all the excellent ingredients used to make the ice cream instead of a butch of food coloring and junky ingredients. The service was also excellent! Cute little shop! If we didn't have to limit our sugar intake we would eat this everyday!!!

The waffles cones are made in house and they are probably the best cones I have ever had, but the actual ice cream was a little on the icey side, they made all their flavors in house and have a ton of options. Im my opinion, if they could use a higher fat cream in their product it would make the flavor 100x better, I missed the creaminess. It was definitely a fun experience and the cones were amazing, but with the cost and flavor, I might hit the DQ up the street in the future.

I'm not super impressed with these places, but they seem to be a south coast staple stretching from Lakeside, to Myrtle Point, and even down to Gold Beach. Prices are more than I want to pay, but on the coast everything seems to be a little pricier than up here in the valley, which most would guess as being tourist related, but leans more to the fact that people in this area don't get much of a chance to head to the larger areas. Over all they're not bad stores, and they are local which the bay area needs! With all the places that have flopped these markets still thrive and provide great service. I would still come here before a Safeway or Freddy's for sure.

For example, I was looking for tzatziki, and no store employee I talked to even knew what it is. That said, you can get almost anything you need there, just not everything you want. The produce department is small, but reasonably well stocked. The butcher counter has almost everything you might seek, but you won't find the normal coolers filled with prepackaged meat and poultry (that's not necessarily bad, just unusual). They have a good selection of many items, and very few of some others. One complaint: It's clear that many of the items are stocked by distributors, not store employees, so different brands of the same item are often not found together -- which makes comparing what's available a pain in the tail -- not cool. That means you can search all over, not find exactly what you're looking for, settle for something less than ideal, only to find the similar item which is what you really wanted later in a different location. Argh!! My experience in Bandon is that I have to go to both McKay's and Ray's in order to get the things I need on any given grocery run -- there's always something that one store doesn't have, that I hope the other does.
